If you looking for a relaxing gateway , look no further ! Great location , great views , near the restaurants and shops of Langley but set in a beautiful quiet area so you can have the best of everything Whidbey has to offer ! We went on local walks at Possession State park , walked on the beach , went to local winery , went out to nice meals and at the end of the day loved sitting on the beautiful porch , sipping wine and watching the birds . The house has everything you need to cook . Lots of games and movies etc .
We loved our stay so much we added an extra night! The home was so warm and inviting, well stocked with endless games, movies, and books, and incredibly comfortable beds! Katie was quick to respond to our request to extend our stay and to help us find a lost item! We canât wait to return!
After a busy conference we were looking for a serene space where we could reflect on the past week/month/year and plan for the months ahead and this was the perfect spot!! Loved everything about it and we will be back.
Katie was very friendly prior to us staying there, which I appreciated and it set a nice tone. The house was nice, the upper area having kitchen and dining area with a wall of windows that look out onto the small bay and bird sanctuary. We cooked here a lot and the kitchen is well stocked!! We have small children who loved the games and babies who loved the pack n play. We mostly hung outside on the deck with a lovely fireplace and watched birds come and go. It was a nice little getaway and I would stay here again.
The area we stayed in was great! The views from the upper deck were awesome! We saw the resident eagle and mate a few times, and the deer came around often. At night we heard a great-horned owl. The house itself was comfy. The fireplace downstairs definitely heated the house quickly. The beds were comfy, and the kitchen had all we needed. The island itself was fun to explore. We had a great week!!
Beautiful property with lovely sunset views of the bay and Olympics. Great communication with the owner before check-in and responsive during the stay. Great place to chill in the less touristy part of Whidbey.
I was supposed to have a girls weekend here and my friend had to cancel last minute. It ended up being the perfect place to recharge, read, relax, and enjoy the outdoors! My friend that lives locally came over and we spent the day out on the deck catching up and enjoying the neighborhood. The kitchen had everything I needed. Shower had great water pressure and the bed was super comfortable. Would love to return!
We loved staying at this waterfront property with a beautiful view. Everything was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed beautiful walks on the beach and the proximity to great restaurants in Langley. An evening on the deck with the fire table on and drink in hand is not to be missed!
We really enjoyed this Vrbo and hope to return again soon (my daughter begged me for her birthday weekend but itâs already booked!). Lots of games for kids, comfortable beds, beautiful view and neighborhood walking distance to a rocky beach with a ton of seashells. Easy, fast trip from Mukilteo ferry. Most importantly to me, a clean and welcoming kitchen! Most vrbos have been too gross/poorly equipped to cook and I meticulously prepare meals before arriving. I was so thrilled with the kitchen I even made brownies! Luckily the weather held up, but there were tons of movies if we needed them! We managed a 3 day weekend at this home with 3 kids and no screen time! The only negative is the area itself is quite rural so definitely bring your groceries/food. Thereâs an expensive but indulgent bagel store in town, thatâs about it. It was an hour drive to deception pass, then another half hour to the tulip festival so we drove that way on our last day and took the long way home.
Weâve never stayed in the same Vrbo twice (and this has become a lifestyle for us since Covid and flying with 3 kids is so expensive..) but this property will hopefully be the exception if we can find another availability!
A wonderful family environment. Lots of toys and games, fun for kids and adults. The house is set up for family living. The covered deck was a highlight, and we enjoyed the sunsets!
We visited this home in mid-January. Two adults (myself and my MIL) and two kids, ages 7 and 9. My MIL is pretty hard to please, and she was raving about this house during our stay, and is already asking when we can go back. The kitchen was well-stocked and we had fun making several meals together. We ate at the kitchen chairs and turned the dining room table into a puzzle and game table. The kids stayed together in the wonderful kids' room downstairs, which was loaded with books. There were also lots of fun games in the downstairs closet. Communicating with the owner was great - I highly recommend this place!
We had a group of 4 women staying for a weekend getaway. The home was large and had everything we needed. We loved sitting on the covered deck watching the sunset, drinking wine by the fire. We enjoyed visiting nearby Langley. Lots of shops and lunch at the public house was great. The down stairs living room with the cozy fireplace was perfect for movie watching when it was rainy. Everything was perfect for a relaxing weekend with friends.
We are a family of five from Seattle who plan to retire to this home in a few years. We are renting it out while two of our three children attend college.
We fell in love with privacy of the house, the walkable community, the view from the deck and looked no further. Our family loves to kayak, hike and bike ride although we find ourselves sitting on the deck watching the ever-changing view. Whidbey Island offers endless ways to explore and relax.
