Ambiance parisienne
Nous avons vraiment aimé l’appartement, nous l’avons trouvé inspirant grâce à l’ambiance typiquement parisienne qui s’en dégage et la musique que nous y avons écoutée. Décor intimiste, tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner, grand lit très confortable, propre. Petit balcon sympathique avec de belles vues. Quartier vivant avec plein de commerces alimentaires et restaurants à proximité. Calme et tranquillité à l’intérieur. Communications efficaces et cordiales. Nous le recommandons sans hésitation.
Lovely Comfortable Apartment
Very homely & cozy apartment in a vibrant quarter of Paris. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & highly recommend the apartment.
AN AUTHENTIC PARISIAN EXPERIENCE WITH ADDED UNFORGETTABLE ADDED TOUCHES
We had a wonderful six night stay as it fulfilled our two essential requirements an authentic and comfortable apartment and a kind and generous host.
—Apartment
This was definitely the authentic Parisian experience we were looking for. Two hundred year old building, beautiful and quirky parquetry flooring, French windows opening onto a small balcony and furnished mostly with antiques. But with modernised bathroom with deep bath and plenty of hot water. An added bonus was Isabelle’s ( a recognised French soprano) theatrical touches and access to her extensive CD collection which enhanced our evenings.
—Location
Suited our needs as we wished to explore on foot locally this area of Paris we were less familiar with. And Isabelle provided us with many helpful suggestions.
—Food
On Isabelle’s recommendation we ate at Chartiers ( a traditional French bistro) not to be missed more for the “theatre” than the food—we thought we were inhabiting a Toulouse Lautrec painting. Marmot across the road was excellent with good food, friendly staff and great unintrusive music—we ate there three times.
—Host
Isabelle is a kind and attentive host. She answered all our enquires promptly, and we had a few issues (of our own making) and she handled these in a practical and prompt manner.
It was all we could have hoped for and more.

All aspects were great, from location to check-in process and the flat itself. We especially appreciated the most well-appointed kitchen. Isabelle's response to questions we had was immediate and thorough. A most delightful stay!

Amazing classic Paris apartment!
Great place in the 9th near everything and the feeling of authentic Paris. Logistics were easy and straightforward and everything was done to make our stay amazing. We loved eating on the petite terrace.
Localisation
Rue calme au coeur d'un quartier très vivant, très sûr à toute heure du jour ou de la nuit, ayant gardé tout le charme du Paris du XIXème siècle (quelques-uns des plus beaux passages couverts de Paris sont à moins de 5mn à pieds : Passage Jouffroy, passage Verdeau, etc). Très large choix de restaurants et bars à vins tout près, plusieurs cinémas (dont le Grand Rex) et théâtres à proximité (Folies Bergère tout près, ainsi que tous les théâtres des Grands boulevards).
Quartier très central et extrêmement bien desservi : Métro Grands Boulevards (lignes 8 et 9) ou Cadet (ligne 7), bus lignes 20, 39, 48 et 42, 43, 26, 32.
Montmartre accessible à pieds (très agréable promenade en remontant le marché de la rue de Martyrs) ou en bus direct. Le Louvre est à 15mn à pieds ou direct en métro et en bus.
Pour les amateurs de ventes aux enchères, l'hôtel Drouot est à 5mn à pieds. Les amateurs d'opéra pourront se rendre à l'Opéra-Comique ou à l'Opéra Garnier à pieds. Les autres théâtres musicaux (Champs-Elysées, Châtelet, Opéra Bastille) sont tous accessibles en métro par une ligne directe en moins de 20mn de porte à porte.
Les grands magasins (Galeries Lafayette et Printemps) sont à 10mn à pieds.
Multitude de commerces à proximité : boulangerie à 20m, nourriture bio à emporter pour le déjeuner au pied de l'immeuble, plusieurs supermarchés ('classiques' ou bio), pharmacie, café-tabac, etc à moins de 200m.
Un livret d'accueil dans lequel figurent toutes les adresses utiles est laissé à la disposition des locataires.
Quiet street at the heart of a lively area, very secure at any time of the day or night. The area still has the charm of the 19th century (some of the capital's most beautiful covered walkways are 5mn away : Passage Jouffroy, Passage Verdeau, etc).
Very large choice of nice restaurants and wine bars around, various theaters and cinemas (le Grand Rex, les Folies Bergère among many other places).
Very central area and many means of transport : Grands Boulevards metro station (lines 8 and 9) or Cadet (line 7), bus lines 20, 39, 48, 42 and 43, 26, 32.
Montmartre is at a walking distance (very pleasant walk along the market on rue des Martyrs) or direct by bus. The Louvre : 15mn walk or direct by bus and metro.
For auctions lovers, the Hôtel Drouot is a 5mn walk. Opera fans can walk to the Opéra Comique (7mn) or to the Opéra Garnier (12mn). The other main musical theaters (Châtelet, Champs-Elysées, Opéra Bastille) are on a direct metro line (less than 20mn door to door).
For shopping, le Printemps and les Galeries Lafayette are a 10mn walk.
Many shops around : bakery and bio take-away at 20m, various supermarkets (including a bio one), pharmacy, cafés etc less than 200m.
