L'accès à l'appartement supérieur se fait par un couloir et un escalier communs dans notre maison appelée Griffin House - l'appartement couvre l'ensemble du dernier étage de la propriété et est totalement séparé par un mur et une porte en haut des escaliers.

Cet appartement de 65 mètres carrés (700 pieds carrés) dispose d'une cuisine / salle à manger / salon de taille généreuse et de deux chambres de bonne taille - une qui peut être aménagée avec des lits jumeaux ou un double superking britannique et une avec un roi britannique Lit double. Il y a aussi un canapé-lit dans le salon.

La cuisine / salle à manger / salon entièrement équipée dispose de TV, DVD, chaîne stéréo, lave-vaisselle, réfrigérateur, micro-ondes / four conventionnel, cuisinière, fer à repasser, planche à repasser, coffre-fort, machine à expresso et cafetière (presse française).

L'appartement dispose d'une connexion haut débit à fibre optique sans fil super rapide gratuite, et est équipé d'une planche et fer à repasser, d'un sèche-cheveux et d'un coffre-fort.

La salle de bain lumineuse et aérée comprend un double lavabo Belfast et une puissante douche / baignoire profonde.

Like other reviews have said, this is a gem. The property is well kept, the owner and his dog very friendly and welcoming, and the location is great. We would absolutely stay again.

Great flat in Brixton

We had a lovely stay in this rental. The location was great and the host was very accomodating. It's a great place for those who want to stay in a neighborhood setting while still being a short tube ride to central London. I highly recommend!

Wonderful!

Very friendly and helpful hosts, lovely apartment and lots of good insight regarding the neighborhood and getting around London. We loved the dogs, Bruno and Mowgli! Initially there was some difficulty with communication through the VRBO platform but apparently it is due to some ongoing IT issues that are being ironed out. Once we were all on the same page there were no problems at all. Fantastic hosts, we truly hope to visit again! Recommended!

Perfect location

Fab location for a really enjoyable family trip to london. Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful including Bruno the dog) and the space was ideal for chilling out in the evenings after a busy day. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Holiday

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Ben and Nico were communicative, so we knew just what to expect on arrival. The suite was just as advertised. East access to the tube, and a short walk to cafes, pubs, etc. We’d definitely stay here again.

Jumping off point for exploring London

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment---it was comfortable for our family of five (two adults and three teens), is located close to the tube for easy travel, and was within easy walking distance of shopping areas and parks. The owners of the property were available and friendly. The garden is an absolute oasis! Highly recommend.

Great experience in a local neighborhood

The apartment is very roomy and had everything we needed for a family of 4. We liked having the experience of being in a neighborhood vs a tourist area. You do walk through the owner's part of the house to access the apartment, but the owners are very friendly and it wasn't an issue. We felt safe in the neighborhood.

Great property that is away from London Central but a short walk to the tube and 4-5 stops to Trafalgar square. Excellent hosts though we suspect Bruno (the dog) is the real organiser. There are stairs which was no problem for us but worth noting. Very cosy

Lovely flat that felt like home!

I spent months deciding on which flat to book for my family’s trip to London, and I definitely ended up picking the perfect one. The flat itself is clean, roomy, and comfortable. And we found the location to be perfect - it’s in a quiet neighborhood, but it’s so easy to get into central London on either the tube or the bus. Nico and Ben were both so welcoming and kind, and that’s what truly made the stay memorable. We enjoyed chatting with them in the garden, and my youngest loved feeding the turtles. And I can’t leave out Bruno, whom my kids all said was the best dog they met on our trip (and we did meet a lot!) If we’re lucky enough to make it back to London, we’ll definitely be staying again.

Space large enough for family of 4

My family really enjoyed our stay in the upper apartment. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating (even had chocolates for our kids). The location is easily accessible to the Tube, and the Brixton Village and Brixton Pop were a short walk away for shopping and eating. The entrance to the upper apartment is via the owners' living area. So in that sense, it is somewhat similar to a "bed and breakfast". It felt like being guests in a home (but the upper apartment has a lockable door and is fully contained). Highly recommended, and I was sorry to not be able to say "goodbye" to the hosts when we left.

Bruno and Nico were wonderful

We had a wonderful time staying at the top level apartment for 4 days. Ben was out of the country on a holiday, so we only got to meet Nico and their adorable dog Bruno. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4. Our teens shared one of the bedrooms, and their Dad and I were in the master, the living area and kitchen was perfect for us to hang out together in and the Underground station was only a few mins walk from the apartment. The only reason I gave the neighborhood 3 stars is because it’s not centrally located in London, a bit more on the outskirts. For our family it was just what we were looking for, but others might want something closer to all the main attractions. We would definitely stay here again!

Sehr empfehlenswert, Brixton ist super entspannt und mit Bus und Metro nah an den Innenstadtbezirken. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet und zu viert auch für längere Aufenthalte geeignet.

Bon emplacement, quartier tranquille

L'appart est situé dans un quartier plutôt tranquille, station de métro à 5 minutes de marche à pied, mais aussi des arrêts de bus juste à côté; qques petits commerces à proximité qui dépannent bien. L'accueil fut rapide mais sympathique; l'appart en lui même est un peu vieillissant et mériterait un petit coup de rénov; literie moyennement confortable; par contre on a bcp apprécié la vue côté jardin qui est une vraie touche nature dans cette ville. Les propriétaires sont souples au niveau du départ, on a pu laisser les valises et les récupérer plus tard dans la journée.

Le lieu idéal pour se poser après des longues journées

Accueil en français très agréable. On a pu laisser nos bagages le temps que l'appartement soit prêt. Le logement est spacieux, propre. Ce n'est pas rénové de manière récente mais bien entretenu. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut. La seule amélioration qu'on pourrait demander, c'est avoir à disposition quelques éléments de base pour cuisiner (poivre, huile, une ou deux épices). Mais sinon il y a sel, café, thé, sucre. Il y a les produits pour le LV et quelques sprays ménagers pour un nettoyage basique après repas. Il y a des serviettes bien moelleuses. Les lits sont ultra confortables. Le chauffage fonctionne parfaitement (ça compte en hiver). Le logement est idéalement situé, très proche du métro , le quartier est calme la nuit. Il y a un Lidl à 10min à pied pour les courses, une boulangerie dans la rue et un petit magasin en face (un peu plus cher). Notre séjour à Londres était parfait et la qualité du logement y a contribué. Lorsque nous yretournerons, ce sera sans nul doute notre choix pour séjourner ! Merci et à bientôt !

London short break

Lovely character property well situated for easy tube and bus links to central London with everything we needed. Friendly welcoming hosts (especially Bruno the dog)! Gave us tips on getting around and where to visit locally. Would recommend to anyone and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Hello, we are Nic & Ben and renting out two holiday apartments in the townhouse which we bought in 2006 and renovated it. The building dates from 1780, one of the oldest building in Stockwell, SW central London . Its been the vicarage building of Stockwell Church for nearly 200 years ,

We both love gardening too and if you stay you'll probably see us weeding or maybe tending the chicken who live in an 'eglu' at the bottom of the garden or the turtles in our pond

We love London, so if you've got a question about the capital, don't hesitate to ask. Additional to English Nic speaks Spanish and French, Ben speaks German (as Austrian)

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The moment we saw the house, we fell in love with it. It is one of the oldest in area , having been built in 1790 as the vicarage for the local church of Saint Andrews. Stockwell is central but not touristy - it takes just 8 minutes by tube to reach Victoria. It's a multicultural neighbourhood that we are proud to live in and is close to the vibrant districts of Vauxhall, Brixton and Clapham.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Large windows flood it with light and the 30-metre (100 ft) back garden is unusual in London for being such a good size. When we moved in, the house was in a sorry state, dilapidated and having been used as a squat. We've now restored it to its former glory uncovering marble fireplaces that had been painted over with white paint and lovely wooden floor boards in the process. We love living here and we love having guests to stay.
