The home is a short car ride from town in a nice neighborhood.The interior was not updated, but we knew that beforehand and were happy with the price knowing we would be out a lot.

House does not live up photos. Older home. Had ant traps throughout, exposed wiring on living room heater, mold and broken blinds. Beds were comfortable and gave 3 star because we had a short stay and could make it work, if we had a longer stay the star rating would have gone down.

The location is convenient to Oak Bluffs center and Inkwell beach. However, maintenance issues and renovations should be addressed as follows: 1)Provide better screen doors and screened windows to prevent bugs/insects from coming in 2)provide iron/ironing board 3) Address water leaks in bathrooms 4) Consider window AC units- only 1 floor fan worked 5) Footboard post on bed in master bedroom is loose and comes off 6) Trash cans were full when arrived

Sheets and towels were new and clean. Backyard was nice to hang out in. No gas grill, charcoal. Comforters has stains on them. Shower (Hot water) in the master bathroom did not work. Floors and counters were clean, but not in good condition. House was very musty upon entering, half of the windows did not have screens. Walls and ceilings were dirty. The property needs maintenance and cleaning. There was left over food in dirty cabinets and not enough pots and pans or cooking and eating utensils. Location was convenient to locations around the island.

The home was nice, a little outdated, but great for a family. Unfortunately it does not have AC and when we arrived we found 2 fans were broken. We immediately contacted Vacasa who said they would send maintenance. While waiting for maintenance, we also noticed within the first hour that one of the dining chair backs was broken/not attached, one of the bed posts fell off as it was not attached, and the fan in one of the bathrooms was stuck on. We planned to notify maintenance when they came but they never called or showed up the entire time we were there. Not all of the windows have screens so it is not easy to get a breeze through as you are unable to open all of the windows. It is unfortunate that there is a problem with maintenance being unreliable as it was very hot during our stay and without the fans it was uncomfortable for sleeping. I would have given a higher review because it was otherwise great for us and convenient to many places, however the lack of any response from maintenance during our stay to correct some easy to fix issues (especially given the cost of renting this place) I am giving this a lower rating.

7 Sea Glen Rd Oak Bluffs MA. Don' t waste your money

Cannot submit a review without picking a star, so 1 is picked but not deserved. This rental is terribly run down and in disrepair. The photos in the listing show nothing as to what the actual home looks like. Doors not closing properly, or locking - both interior and exterior, we put a chair under the front doorknob at night to feel secure, and a bamboo stick to completely close and secure the sliding door as it did not lock or even close completely. Exposed wires on heater boards, paint peeling on walls hidden by furniture. Toilets not secured to the floor, windows don't lock and most screens have fallen off and lay on the ground outside, with leaves and dead bugs in the window sills. Parts of interior walls rotted. A screw extending out of the middle of one of the light switches (not where it secures it to the wall)? Dishware, pans (awful condition) and utensils maybe enough for 2 1/2 people? Don't waste your money. The listing had old bad reviews but it appeared that recently improvements were made, that is the only reason we booked it, improvements were definitely not made. Rental agency did not seem to have much sympathy even though I sent them photos of all that I stated was wrong

Needs serious repair, do not rent

You can see by the photos that the home is outdated. However, this home shouldn't even be rented. I rent homes on VBRO all the time and this is my first bad experience. The doors didn't shut, including the two bathrooms. The larger bathroom we tried to avoid. The toliet moved, you could rock back and forth on it if you wanted too. They put a chain lock on the back of the door to hold it shut. A screw in the light switch, to make the switch work. The door in the smaller bathroom didn't shut either. That one had black mold all around the shower. Water damage underneath the attached back bedroom window. We noticed we were all stuffed up after about 24-32 hours in the home. Not sure if it was the cause, but one can guess. We tried to stay out of the home as best we could. Made it a running joke on just how bad the home was. Had a funny smell, fruit flys, and so much more, just overall very disappointing. Only plus is it does have a good location. 6 minutes from the ferry, close to downtown Oak Bluffs and a bus stop within a short walking distance. We bring our car over but the bus would be a very easy option for others if they could fix up the home first.

The house was not well maintained & was managed by Vacasa. They don’t like to call renters.

Too many maintenance issues to list. Owner should hire someone to fix all issues provided to Vacasa rep. I received a 1 night refund. I prefer to rent from owner as communication is much better.

Awesome stay!

Had a great time! Stayed at this location for about a week. It is so close to everything. Spacious and very clean. Nice sized bedrooms and great deck for socializing. We will absolutely stay at 7 Sea Glen road again!!

Problem !!! I may have left two charging cords , one black, one white , in the master bedroom. Help. Totally enjoyed the cottage. Not sure about next year, Wil l be in touch , maybe.

We were not made aware that there were 2 units on property. My in-laws just happened to stumble upon the occupant of the lower level living space. The advertisement should state that there is a separate living area downstairs and it could be occupied.

This house needs updating. need some new screens for the windows. Overall we just needed to have a place to sleep at night. This fit the bill. If your looking for luxury this is not the place for you. If you want a clean house with comfortable beds this might be the place for you.

House was perfect for three seniors

Needs: more drinking glasses, more wine glasses, a reusable broiler pan, more flatware, a gas grill would be a grest amenity, charcoal just isn't the same, house was perfect for us , looking forward to next year.

Hasn’t been updated in 20 years!

Where do I start.... with the front door that doesn’t close, the screens that are all bent and/or non-existent. The rusted refrigerator, the crooked chandelier with half the glass missing, the oven whose burners don’t work, the black mold on the bathroom floor, the holes in doors and walls that look like they were repaired with a kit bought on you tube! Oh and the bugs....the bugs they are everywhere! Spiders, mosquitoes and fruit flies this place has it all. Believe it or not I could go on. I rent several vacation properties per year and I can honestly sat that I have never seen anything like this place! The price does not reflect the quality. This listing should be taken down. DO NOT....I repeat DO NOT rent this place unless dirty, run down, 70’s decor is your thing. YUCK!!!!

A modest cabin with working facilities and no AC

We wound up paying a lot of money for two nights for what turned out to be a very modest accommodation, which was disappointing. Even though everything worked and the bedding was clean, the overall feel of the place was dingy and funky. It was really stuffy without the AC and the manager thankfully put in a couple of window units temporarily with duct tape. The windows were filthy, with dead insects between the frames. The kids found a dirty footprint on the wall of their room and were scared to sleep there. This is a shame because for the price, people would expect something updated and charming which this was not at all.

Not a Clean Home :-(

This is my first negative experience with a rental home. I had a great time in MV with my long-time friends, but this property did not meet our cleanliness standards. Several of the comforters on the beds were dirty and stained—obviously not washed (at least not well). There was insufficient lighting in the bedrooms. The beds were so mushy that we were sore the next day (and we’re not incredibly old - we’re in our 30s). There were no extra washcloths or towels, and no A/C. Worst of all, there were bugs EVERYWHERE inside the house. Beetles, moths, spiders, and even a wasp greeted us. I’m not sure how they were getting in, but they definitely were getting in. There were also spiderwebs all over the place. Clearly the place hadn’t been dusted or swept in a very long time. Very disappointing.
