Ce Sea Glass Cottage en bord de mer est l'endroit idéal pour profiter de la beauté naturelle et de la sérénité sur la côte de San Mateo près de Half Moon Bay. Rien devant vous que l'océan Pacifique. Endroit idéal pour une retraite sereine à la plage, location idéale pour un travail à temps partiel dans la région de la baie, ou un bel endroit pour se ressourcer ou juste besoin de temps pour vous-même. Les commentaires de nos clients se répètent avec combien la proximité de l'océan semble faire fondre leur vie bien remplie.

Sea Glass Cottage est une disposition de studio. La vue imprenable sur l'océan peut être appréciée depuis la cuisine, le salon / salle à manger, ainsi que la zone de couchage où vous pourrez vous réveiller avec la vue imprenable sur l'océan dans le confort de votre confortable lit king-size. Regardez les otaries, les pélicans, les baleines saisonnières et les dauphins passer.

Chacun des deux chalets sur la propriété a sa propre petite terrasse privée avec des chaises longues et des poufs en osier en plein air confortables, situés pour profiter d'une vue imprenable sur l'océan.

Les vues sont absolument magnifiques de tous les espaces de vie de ce chalet romantique et élégamment aménagé. C'est l'endroit idéal pour vraiment s'évader. Et encore moins de 30 minutes en voiture de San Francisco! Sea Glass Cottage, est de 640 pieds carrés et comprend les équipements suivants:

Deux chalets sont situés sur une falaise surplombant l'océan Pacifique et la réserve marine préservée de Fitzgerald. Il y a un jardin commun situé à une distance appropriée de chaque chalet pour permettre l'intimité. L'espace commun offre une section extérieure confortable, des chaises longues individuelles et un foyer au gaz.

Endormez-vous au son des vagues de l'océan sur la plage en contrebas. Réveillez-vous au son des mouettes dans le ciel lointain. Sirotez votre tasse de java du matin sur la plage, à seulement 2 minutes à pied de votre porte d'entrée, ou asseyez-vous au lit et profitez de votre vue privée sur l'océan.

Notre Sea Glass Cottage a été construit en 1906. Cet endroit était un lieu de destination pour les week-ends au début des années 1900. Les invités ont voyagé en train depuis San Francisco et Santa Cruz pour visiter cet endroit étonnant appelé «Nye's Reef». À une époque, la propriété comptait un restaurant, un hôtel, des maisons superposées et une taverne. La plupart des bâtiments sont toujours debout. Ce chalet en bord de mer a été visité par de nombreuses personnes bien connues au fil des ans, dont Jack London et Luther Burbank. Un peu d'inspiration! Le cadre le rend idéal pour les couples ou les individus en quête de solitude et de sérénité sur la côte de San Mateo surplombant la réserve marine de Fitzgerald.

This quaint cottage was immaculate and decorated in a peaceful, comfortable style. The view of the ocean was breathtaking with the most amazing sunsets. Carol was an excellent communicator and offered a quiet place to relax and heal from the stresses of life.

Spring 2023 at Moss Beach

Beautiful cottage at fantastic location. We really enjoyed our time here and didn’t want to leave. Watched many gorgeous sunsets and was fortunate to be here after the wettest winter for a decade which meant our hikes were through colorful fields of spring flowers. Great location to explore the peninsula. We would highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic stay!

My wife and I had a fantastic time at the Sea Glass Cottage...it was exactly what our tired souls needed for three-four days. We loved the views (pictures don't do it justice), and it was perfect for reading, relaxing, and resting (our main three goals when we booked). We would certainly come back again if we were ever in the area. The owners were fantastic to work with and even gave us some great recommendations for activities/restaurants in the area. For the same price as a hotel room in the city, you can stay right on the coast and listen to the waves crash all day. The views are breathtaking, and the walking trails in the neighborhood were fantastic. The one negative (out of a whole bunch of positives) was that the house next door was under construction/remodeling (late Sept. 2014) while we were there and so there was some construction noise during the day (office hours). Nothing too major, but it was there. There's nothing the owners could do about that, and I'm assuming that process will be done shortly. Plus, if you're planning day trips/excursions each day into the city or down the coast (which we did a couple of days of our stay), you may not even know it's happening since you'll be gone most of the day. All that to say, we loved this place, and it won't take long for word to spread!

Best Summer Ever

We stayed at the Sea Glass Cottage for just over a month this summer and it was one of my most memorable summer experiences. The location cannot be beat. Fall asleep and wake up to the ocean right outside your window and enjoy all of your meals with a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean at your feet. An excellent Wifi signal extends all the way to the outdoor seating area so you can work and relax at the same time. Nearby beaches abound and we found multiple dog-friendly beaches nearby (driving distance). The nearby Marine Preserve is fascinating but does limit activity for humans and dogs alike (for good reason - there is a colony of seals and protected marine species who live there!). Walk to the nearby distillery, Seal Cove (also a Marine Preserve) and trailheads that wind through the bluffs overlooking the ocean to Pillar Point. (NOTE: the bridge connecting Moss Beach to these areas was damaged and technically impassable while we were there - many people crossed it anyway). The cottage itself is incredibly cozy and comfortable. You have everything you need in a small space and, with the Pacific Ocean as your outdoor living room, you don’t feel the need for more. Carol is an exceptional and responsive host. She has thoughtfully decorated and appointed the cottage with beautiful and tasteful furnishings and excellent organization for “tiny living”. The bed is very comfortable and there is plenty of “workspace” if needed. Thank you again! We will definitely be back!

Fabulous stay!

Sea Glass Cottage met our needs perfectly. We (two people, two dogs) especially enjoyed the cool weather during Bay Area heat waves, along with the gorgeous ocean views and sounds of crashing waves. Taking a beautiful five mile hike at Pillar Point Bluff right from the cottage was something we loved doing every morning. Many thanks to our wonderful hosts Carol and Jerome!

Incredible oceanside

Awesome View!

We enjoyed our month long stay at Carol & Jerome's cottage! The view was just beautiful! The cottage was cozy & very well equipped. The king bed is SO comfy we slept like babies. Even though the property is shared by 2 other families it still felt very private & was very quiet. Moss Beach is a very friendly small town which we loved! Beautiful!

This is a beautiful setting, and a darling cottage with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The view is unbeatable, nothing in the world can compare! Carol and her husband Jerome are warm and welcoming hosts, and very responsive to requests. Sunsets, moonsets, stars, tide pools, waves and breeze and sun and coastal flowers. Can't find the words to say how great this month was!

This is absolute paradise. I opened the gate & saw the beautiful view of the ocean. It was magical. The cottage is perfect. The one thing I loved was the constant sound of the ocean waves... even with the windows closed you can still hear them. The cottage is stocked well with kitchen things & bathroom supplies including shampoo & conditioner & body wash. I have a cat that traveled with me from Ohio. I stayed in the cottage for 3 months. My cat Sampson has to take medications twice a day. Sometimes I had to go out of town for interviews & Carol was always there to help out. They are animal lovers too. It was so nice to know my baby was in great hands as I was away. The view of the ocean is amazing, the pictures do not do it justice. I went outside many days to just enjoy the view & hear the ocean to cleanse my mind of everyday life. I highly recommend coming & staying here. Carol & Jerome are such wonderful people. Very warm & welcoming. Very accommadating to your needs. You will not regret your time here

Great little cottage and better people

My friend and I stayed in Jerorme and Carol's cottage for two nights. The cottage was well equipped and spotless. The outside common area with comfortable seating and a gas fire pit was a great place to hang out in the evening and meet new friends. Thanks to both of you for being such great hosts.

Great view and location

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Sea Glass Cottage. The view is just as shown in the photos and the fire pit on chilly days/nights was wonderful. Carol welcomed us with a plate of warm cookies, which was greatly appreciated. A problem with the key not working was quickly resolved by Carol and Jerome who came right over to fix the issue. For the most part, the cottage was well kept and clean. Note that until construction finishes on the house next door, you may hear hammering and drilling during the day, but it is wonderfully quiet at night. The location can't be beat. Short walks to the cypress grove and beaches and very convenient to many attractions along the coast.

Relaxing retreat--Loved it!

Seaglass cottage was amazing! I spent a great, relaxing long weekend here. The tide pools (3 minute walk) were incredible--saw lots of sea life and harbor seals on the beach! The walk along Fitzgerald Marine Preserve to Moss Beach Distillery (10 minute walk) was absolutely beautiful. I brought my dog. Dogs were not allowed on the beach where the tide pools were and not on some of the trails along the coast, but that was ok. The closest dog-friendly beach was a 2 minute drive north and we visited there and had a great time. The pier was about a 5 minute drive away and we were able to get fresh crab off the boats and amazing salt water taffy. When not exploring, it was wonderful to just sit outside and watch the waves, birds, and boats with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Beautiful and relaxing. The cottage is next to another cottage (Driftwood Cottage) and both cottages are on the owner's property. So, while there is some privacy, you will see neighbors fairly often coming and going. This was not a problem at all for me. Carol and Jerome are great hosts and made me feel immediately comfortable. The cottage was very clean and everything you could want was there. Wifi worked very well. I will definitely be visiting again.

experience life on the california coast

There are no words to describe how incredible the locatiion and cottages are just perfrect. Paradise! The beds are the most comfy luxurious I have ever been in. The view is breathtaking. The kind of place you never want to leave. AFFORDABLE!!compared to many other hotels and b&b in the area!! please keep this place around for all to enjoy. Its a most memorable place that will bring people back to the coast time and time again. We rented both of their cotages for our familys to get together. MY mother and father in law had tears of joy when they saw the place. Their comment was best vacation ever (they are 79) . Thank you

Steve's birthday surprise

My husband & I stayed at the Sea Glass Cottage for 4 nights in August, first time using VRBO. Everything was outstanding, you can tell that Carol and her family take great pride in their cottages so many small details that made the stay extra special. Steve loved the Carrot cake said it was one of the best ever. Loved sitting by the bluff overlooking the ocean each morning with our coffee. Looking forward to returning. Aloha Linda & Steve

best vacation rental ever !!!

i would like to share my review and hope that it helps anyone considering on renting this cottage for a getaway vacation...my husband & i been on plenty of vacactions, and this was by the far, THE BEST!!!...the cottage was equipped with so many ammentities, the cleansiness, comfortability, and the Panoramic Oceanfront views outside your back door was breathtaking...i would most certainly recommend this cottage for a cozy, quiet get away...i most certainly will return again & again !!! This was our 2nd visit to the Sea Glass Cottage. We have another scheduled for January. It's everything we look for in a getaway. Cool ocean breeze, fabulous views, privacy, awesome location and SO comfortable!! The marine preserve is beautiful and the cypress forest is enchanting!!

Jerome & I have lived on the coast for 36 years. Jerome visited the area as a youngster with his grandparents in the 60's, fishing and playing on the beaches. I grew up in the South Pacific, my bearings have always been the ocean. The beauty of the coast, the open hills, miles of beaches, and isolation from the fast pace of city life helped us decide to make this place our home. Our choice to live and raise our children here is undeniably our best decision!

The awe-inspiring sunsets viewed from the garden area are difficult to describe, they must be experienced. Exploring Fitzgerald Marine Reserve tide pools at low tide is not to be missed. Low tide occurs twice daily. Walking trails along the bluffs above the marine preserve and Seal Cove Beach are magnificent. A quick 10-minute walk through a 100 year-old forest is a fun adventure, ending at the Distillery Restaurant with its legend of the Blue Lady.
