We had a fantastic ski week in this chalet. The property is very well appointed, especially the new kitchen and the location was brilliant for access to slopes, supermarket and apres ski.
Great property for a group but issues with the check-in
The property is great for a group of 10 adults. There is plenty of space and sufficient bathrooms and showers. The living area works really well for a big group and the kitchen is well equipped. The only issue was for the check-in, which was a complete mess. We were arriving early so asked in advance if an early check-in was possible, which understandably it wasn't. However we were never sent the details to check in so had to turn up at the property at the check in time to find that it was still being cleaned. We finally got in about an hour and a half after check in time (6pm) and only got the code for the door from the cleaners as we couldn't contact the owner for the check in details and the managing agent wasn't answering the phone and had sent no details either. We completely understood early check-in wasn't possible but the owner knew we would want to get in as soon as possible so to have to wait that long after the check in time with no communication was really poor and started the trip off very badly. It was a shame as the owner had been helpful in answering our questions before the trip so I am not sure what happened for them to have no check in details. They need to sort the check in out.The location of the property was fairly good. It was about a 5 minutes walk above La Tania.
We were a party of 12 people, 9 adults and 3 teenagers. Enough space for us, a well equiped kitchen, very convenient for the slopes despite not enough snow to ski in/out. Communication was excellent, would definitely recommend.
Hi,
Having been to La Tania as a family of four for the last 7 years we decided to travel with a group of friends. We ended up traveling as a group of 12, We were 10 adults and 2 children. We booked well in advance of 13 months and found the property advertised after a brief look on the web site. The communication we had for the very start was prefect and very informative. Prior to arriving we received a full brochure of how everything worked and operated and really was useful as we never needed to contact the property manager while we were their.
When we arrived at the chalet it was everything we had hoped for and more. Spacious and set over 3 levels not once did we find us all on top of each other. Everyone of us enjoyed the chalet and the creature comforts on return from the slopes.
Could not praise this chalet and the management of it enough.
A great time had by all :)
We stayed for a week at Laurent's place in La Tania. It's located around 100 meters up a road from the main village which makes everything very convenient. For skiing. we found a back entrance that meant we were less than 50 meters from the slopes coming down from the top of the small surface lift in the village. With fresh snow it is possible to ski in/out, but we never had that situation despite perfect snow cover on the pistes.
The chalet has 6 bedrooms. The bottom floor has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles - both have ensuites. The middle floor has three bedrooms, one with a double bed and two with two single beds. One of these rooms has an ensuite and there are two extra bathrooms with showers and an extra separate toilet. The top floor has a small room with two bunks attached to the living room (along with a small tv). We were a large group of 12 people and never had any issues with privacy or bathroom access. All the rooms were well heated and had clean and comfortable bedding.
The living room has plenty of couch space and a large dining table that sat all of us. The kitchen has modern appliances including a dishwasher, coffee machine, beer keg and we even found a racclette machine. Everything was great a suited our needs. There is a nice big smart tv and wifi that was fast and accessible throughout the whole chalet. There were even usb charging ports available in the living room and some of the bedrooms. Everything was clean and well maintained. The chalet is not new, but it still felt clean and modern.
There is also a ski room with boot dryers and plenty of room for ski gear to be dry and ready in the morning. Attached to this room is a laundry with modern appliances.
Skiing in La Tania is amazing. There are three fairly quiet runs into the village, a red, blue & green. Only the bottom of the red had a bad icy surface during our time there. The village has all the conveniences you would need including a Michelin star restaurant (Le Farcon). There were no queues for lifts out of La Tania. so accessing the rest of the 3 valleys was very easy (though Val Thorens is quite a trek).
I couldn't ask for much more in Laurent's chalet. Laurent's himself is easy to communicate with and makes a great effort to ensure that his visitors enjoy their stay. If I can put a group together again, I would love to stay there again.
We were a group of 11, 4 adults, 7 kids. The chalet was spacious enough for us. Spotlessly clean on arrival, owner was incredibly helpful, would recommend.
What a great chalet. Very comfortable and homely. On 3 floors with living area on top floor. Well equipped kitchen with large fridge . Living area with plenty of table and sofa space .
We were a family group with 4 adults and 5 children aged 7-16. The children shared twin rooms and loved the animal theme with colour changing lights. Some rooms have en suite, some donât. There is also a shared bathroom , shower room and toilet - so plenty for all.
Large boot room with boot warmers and plenty of room for skis, lots of hooks for coats. Washing machine and tumble drier to use.
1 parking space but we managed to park 2 cars, 1 behind the other.
5 minute downhill walk to slopes and centre of La Tania including shops, good small supermarket and ski school etc.
Enjoyed a traditional dinner out at La Ferme de La Tania.
Small queue for main telecabine out of La Tania each morning but never a problem. Easy access to all parts of Les 3 Vallees and good skiing back to resort at end of the day, choice of green, blue and red runs. Great skiing overall for a mixed ability group with plenty of family friendly blue and green runs as well as some more challenging pistes.
We thoroughly enjoyed the chalet and the resort and will definitely be back
We visited as a family group of adults with partners. The accommodation worked well for us, with 2 bedrooms at lowest level, 3 on the floor above and living areas on top floor.
The chalet is well equipped, including the kitchen and ski room.
The owner replied immediately to our questions.
La Tania has good access to the 3 valleys and we found everything we needed in the small village.
We absolutely loved this chalet!
We were a party of 6 adults and 4 children, and there was plenty of space for everyone.
The chalet was about a 3 minute walk to the slopes, and would have been ski-in/ ski-out with a little more snow.
The owner has thought of every detail. The entry to the chalet is covered over, with a bench to take ski boots off and a large ski room to store equipment and dry ski boots on the boot warmers.
Each bedroom has plenty of storage, and the en-suite facilities were great. We all loved the wooden animal lights in each room - the bear was our favourite!
On the top floor, the kitchen was very well equipped, with everything from plenty of pans, plates, utensils and cutlery to a lovely coffee machine and large fridge/freezer.
The large dining table, comfy sofas and lovely fireplace made meals and post-skiing evenings very relaxing. The chalet also had a large tv, xbox and sonos sound system , and connecting to the wifi was quick and worked for our entire stay.
The nearest supermarket, bakery, ski hire shops, etc are only a 3 minute walk away, making it the perfect family location for a great skiing holiday.
Lauren was very quick to respond to our questions whilst booking the chalet and during our stay, and couldn't help us enough! Thank you Lauren!
Hopefully we will be back at the chalet next year!
We really loved this chalet and can't speak highly enough of it!
We were 2 families with 5 children and the chalet was really great for all of us.
Large, spacious, clean with lots of cool gadgets! The kids loved the animal carved lights on the bedrooms which doubled up as fantastic night lights!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
The property was exactly as described. Everything worked fine and it was ideal for our needs
The chalet is in a great location, about 3 mins walk in ski boots to the piste in the morning and we could ski almost back to the door at the end of the day. The kitchen is very well equipped and there are lots of useful gadgets.
Our party was 6 people and we could easily have had 4 more people in the chalet.
The owner was very responsive when booking and dealing with questions.
We would definitely go back there again.
We had an absolutely fantastic time and the chalet was perfect - it had everything we needed and more. We loved the homely atmosphere, were amazed by the space and the versatility and loved the fire and chimney!
Beautiful chalet spread over three floors perfect for groups of ten. Less than a five minute walk to the slopes, shops, pub and centre.
The chalet has a comfortable lounge, large boot room, well equipped kitchen and plenty of bathrooms.
We will definitely be coming back to this chalet and La Tania is a beautiful place to stay.
