Heaven on Earth

This is my third time renting this house for a week and quite literally, it just keeps getting better. The house is absolutely to die for and is always in pristine condition. The view is like a glimpse of heaven. The beach is incredible... beautiful, white, corn starch soft sand. And at night, the sky is lit up with thousands of stars. It just doesn't get ANY better than this. And then there's Carol and Phil.. two of the most beautiful, genuine, kind, compassionate human beings that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. This world would be a much better place if there were more people like Carol and Phil in it. Seriously, this is probably the BEST property you could find in the Cape. If you have the chance to rent this house... DO IT!!! Do it and see what it feels like to live in heaven. You won't regret it... I promise you. Thank you again for everything Carol and Phil. Once again, my family had the best vacation we could have ever hoped for. I appreciate you all so much and I can't wait to see you again.

Relaxing week on the Beach

We had a great stay at this house. The house was very spacious for five people, with beautiful views of the beach from almost every room. Very quiet section of the beach which was nice. We had a great time and it was very relaxing.

The perfect family trip!

This was our first time to Cape San Blas/Port St Joe. The house was perfect with all the comforts of home!!! The porch and the views and the privacy were AMAZING. We will for sure be back. Thanks for a perfect few days!

Great Beach House

Our family had a great vacation at this very comfortable beach house. The view and access to the beach were excellent. We really enjoyed hanging out on the porch when we weren't on the beach or in the ocean.

Great Location!

Our family had a wonderful time staying at this property and Carol and Phil were on top of everything. The location and access to the beach was the best feature. We could easily walk back and forth between the house and beach which made it very nice with having younger kids. The space was efficient and kitchen was great for preparing meals. We were sad to leave and hope to come back again soon.

Amazing place and Amazing Stay

If you're looking for great views and a beautiful house for your vacation, you can't go wrong. This was our second year here and I will always want to return again! Phil and Carol are great hosts, very responsive if you need them for anything. We actually had a storm come through during our stay and something needed attention afterwards. Within less than an hour after my very early AM call (which Carol answered) the issue was fixed and they even came to check on us a little later that morning. You can't ask for more than that. I would highly recommend this for a perfect get away!

The Best Kept Secret on the Cape

Quite literally, the most perfect vacation I could have ever hoped for. The house/property was immaculately kept, the views were to die for, the beach was absolutely pristine, and Carol & Phil are just about the most beautiful, down-to-earth, kind, generous human beings I have ever had the privilege to know. They go above and beyond to ensure your happiness and overall satisfaction with everything. You literally couldn't want for anything more.... thank you, thank you, thank you... truly the best vacation of my life and I'm so glad that I got to spend it here. Carol & Phil... thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my dream come true. You will forever be in our thoughts and prayers. ❤️

Paradise perfection

We have been coming to the Gulf for 25 years at least and this property is now #1 on our list! Everything was perfect! Upscale furnishings, appliances and decor. Very clean, beds are comfortable and rental is well stocked. The view from the porch is unbelievable especially at sunset. Carol and Phil are very welcoming and attentive to everything being perfect for your stay. We were made to feel like family. The only negative thing was having to leave paradise. Thank you, Phil and Carol!

Great Spot

Location of house to the beach is phenomenal! Just steps away from a very secluded private beach. Enjoyed seeing the dolphins daily from our deck. Kitchen had everything we needed to make all meals right in the house. Everything from a cheese grater to measuring spoons and cups to very nice dinnerware and glasses. There are beach toys and nets and buckets for our evening crab catching, a boogie board, a kayak, and a beach vehicle ready for use. Loved the sliding glass doors from both main bedrooms and the open living room/kitchen. Great place to stay on The Cape. Carol and Phil were very responsive to any questions we had. Would stay there again.

Absolutely PERFECT!

I booked this trip over a year ago. I was so scared because we have never visited Cape San Blas. We have been beaching for years, but had never heard of this "forgotten island". But, this beach surpassed our expectations!! AND The HOUSE could not have been more perfect for our first visit. It is so beautiful inside and out!! The appliances, the tools for everything is in the house organized and ready! Ms. Carol & Mr. Phil were always willing to make suggestions and recommendations. Private beach area, we felt like we were on a private island, and the porch overlooking the ocean.... just perfect... we will be back!

Pros: Beautiful house on the beach with higher end furnishings and great view/proximity to beach. Cons: Do not bring more than 6 guests (regardless of age). You will be charged extra or possibly disbarred from staying. Also, I have never had a property manager show up at a condo or house I have rented. Period. The owners showed up twice, unannounced. Once actually calling me in off of the beach to settle up on an extra person overage charge. I won’t go into detail here, but felt this was an inappropriate way to handle the situation. I would proceed with caution if you like your privacy and would not recommend bringing children.

If you can’t decide…choose this place The photos in the listing do not do this home justice. It is very nice. It is fully stocked with everything you will need. Beautiful home. Tons of stuff close by. State park, restaurants, the tradin’ post, Seafood markets, beach rentals. Even more stuff in Port St. Joe and it’s not far, at all. Plenty of stuff to do, buy and eat if you want Now for the meat and potatoes. The view from the main room and the two west side bedrooms is stunning. I didn’t include the porch in that sentence because it deserves a couple of it’s own. The porch is unbelievable. It’s 50 or so feet long by ten or so feet wide. The full length of the home. Fully screened in with comfortable furniture to lounge while you gaze at the spectacle before you. The back porch was my favorite room The beach is flat and pretty empty. There is a nature preserve/park just south of the house. There are folks that come to the beach from that park but there are no houses. Beach feels very private Sunsets, you say? Wow. Rivals any I’ve witnessed through my travels along the gulf coast and elsewhere. Seriously, you need to make sure you’re on the beach when it’s going down Had one of my full grown youngsters shed a tear or two when we were leaving Saturday morning. That hasn’t happened in SEVERAL years. That’s when you know you hit the jackpot. Thank you for that Worth every penny and then some Just book it

I don’t even know where to begin

Several incidents occurred that took away from our enjoyment of this property. First, upon entering the house, we saw shattered glass all around the place. A glass panel in the loft had broken before we arrived. Glass was in the great room and the master bedroom including in the sofa and the master bed. I immediately called Carol and she said that she would send Marcos out to deal with it. Marcos came pretty quickly. Later the police showed up and then the cleaning person. The place was crawling with people , so we had to go out to eat for dinner. That was taken care of and Carol did not charge us for that day. The next day, we noticed that there were dead bugs everywhere. They were in the trash cans, the toilets, the showers and in the corners of every room. Carol offered to send Marcos out to clean them up, but I had already done that myself, because my daughter was so grossed out by the shear amount of dead bugs there were. As I thought about the glass and the bugs it made me wonder about when was the last time someone actually cleaned the place. It was obvious that it had not been recently, or the cleaning people would have taken care of the glass and the bugs. Then, 4 days into our trip, we were awakened by the noise of a dump truck and a front loader on our beachfront. They were dumping sand onto the property. By the next day, we realized that this project would make it very difficult for us to access the beach in front of us. We chose this house because of its easy access to the beach. The sand that was dumped created an 8 foot drop to the gulf front. Our group consisted of 2 70+ year olds with knee problems, a 40 year old with muscular dystrophy, an 8 year old with a broken arm and a 2 year old. The drop off made it very difficult to go to and from the house from the beach. The workers claim that all the owners were made aware of this project. Carol claims she did not know when it was to take place. All in all, the view was beautiful, but the house is not conducive to having small children or anyone with any physical limitations.

Can't beat this location

This was the perfect spot. The house was super clean and the location is great. The beach was uncrowded and of course beautiful. Carol and Phil were very responsive and replied promptly to all of our inquiries, including when we were at the property. We would definitely stay at one of their properties again!
