We rented this house for the month of August. It is a large home with lots of character. But it is also old, worn, and very much in need of a deep clean. Upon arrival we found 2 of the 4 can light bulbs burnt out in the primary bath (we changed them), they offered use of a gas grill but both propane tanks were empty, the patio off one bedroom was unusable due to tall weeds and piles of leaves, the freezer had not been cleaned out from the previous users, just to name a few. We asked the property manager to come over (which he did right away) so we can show him these issues. We wanted to him to know this is how we found the place and not how we left it. He apologized and said he would be back to take care of the patio debris and clean out the freezer. We never saw him again. We reached out to the host and requested a phone call, but never received a call. Taos is beautiful however.
Check in process was good. On-site property manager (Chuck) was fantastic and delivered on everything in a timely manner to help make our stay wonderful. A few suggestions: updating the furniture in the living room - itâs not very comfortable. Overall the stay was fantastic and no mice issues as have been noted in previous reviews. Thanks again to Chuck.
Beautiful property, beautiful house in gorgeous setting. Extremely tasteful, very cozy. Property manager was very accessible but everything worked perfectly. Highly recommended.
Beautiful scenery, excellent artwork throughout the house, and a good location. HOWEVER â we found the house dirty, and in need of much maintenance. The house needs some serious TLC, including electrical, plumbing and pest (mice) control.
Beautiful house with very interesting art decorations. House had mice, I trapped 10 mice. House needs plumbing and electrical repairs.
When we arrived, there were many weeds in the yard and patio's
I made many attempts to communicate with manager and owner.
Was successful about 50% of the time. In present condition, the house is over priced. This house needs attention from Manager and Owner.
This was one of the best places we have rented. Erika was very easy to work with. The home was absolutely beautiful and very accommodating. Highly recommend!
This home is great because it has two master suites- ideal for traveling with another couple or family! The location is easy for access to ski valley or downtown Taos.
Weâve visited Taos for years and stayed in many homes and condos there. This was the nicest. It is architecturally stunning, with kiva fireplaces and adobe details. Great views of the mountains. Everything was clean, and all appliances worked well. Caretaker was responsive and friendly. We love the location between Toas and Taos ski valley. Weâll definitely book again.
