Fly fishing the world famous Henryâs Fork is our favorite thing to do and it was a short drive from the cabin. There are many other amazing fisheries within a very short drive. The cabin was very comfortable and it was supplied with everything we needed. The jacuzzi was very nice after being out all day hiking and fishing. I would definitely recommend staying here.
This is definitely a little cabin in the forest. The owners were very responsive to a few hiccups at the beginning of our stay, and problems were remedied by the next day, which I really appreciated. The property itself is well equipped and does include a personal hot tub. I would like to add the couch/bed is not a queen, more a full and would have been more comfortable with a thicker pad or air mattress. The couch does convert to a bed but remains a bit lumpy due to this. Nevertheless my teen son was comfortable enough. It is well stocked with appliances. Check in and check out was easy
Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. The cabin appeared to be recently updated and was very attractive however it seemed more geared for younger guests rather than us senior citizens. The main floor was poorly lighted; we actually had to use the wall-mounted TV for additional lighting. This cabin is very close to the Big Chalet. The difference between the two when booking wasnât as clear as I thought it should be. My original intention was to rent the Big Chalet and found out later it was the Little Chalet. Oh well, my mistake. The hot tub was not working when we arrived but the owner made the extra effort to repair it into the wee hours of the morning! It was very pleasant but not as private as I had hoped. All the appliances were practically new and worked well. The main bedroom is upstairs but a bit of a challenge to get into the bed due to the closeness to the ceiling. One must climb over the footboard to get in bed. The stairway is narrow; another challenge for seniors, but manageable.
All told it was satisfactory. Suggestions: Some repairs to the deck are needed. Add a couple lamps on the main floor. Lastly, a nice cushioned chair for the upstairs bedroom would be nice.
I would recommend the Little Chalet to younger friends with no hesitation, but caution older folk to beware of the minor drawbacks I listed above.
The cabin was in a nice location, 30 minutes away from west yellowstone. It's nice for sleeping, not much else. Very small but we spent most of our time out and about. Bring your own coffee cups
We stayed 2 nights at the little Chalet and loved every minute!
We wanted to get out of the touristy areas of yellowstone, but still be close to it and the Little Chalet was the perfect location. The cabin was cozy and perfect for us two. We loved the scenery and everything this cabin had to offer!
Our Little Chalet was exactly that - but so much more. We had everything we needed there - all in a very efficient set-up. It is adorable inside. We loved being able to cook our meals - thus saving us money. The kitchen had it all - dishwasher, toaster/oven, microwave, plus all the pots and pans, etc. you need. The outdoor grill was great to have, too. The sleeping situation worked out perfectly for our family of 4. The Chalet is in a beautiful area and so it was really the perfect get-away. We all loved it!
Cozy space for us as we explored Yellowstone area. It was a nice comfortable place to come back to after our long days of hiking and sightseeing. Communication with host was excellent! Thanks for making our vacation easy and fun!
Great place to stay for 2 people. The owners were great to work with and quick to respond. Cabin wan clean and well stocked. Great location to visit Yellowstone or Grand Teton National Parks.
The Little Chalet was such a wonderful little cabin. The cabin is in an excellent location and is easily accessible both from the main highway and the many walking, biking, hiking, or off-roading trails in the area. The owners are wonderful people who were extremely helpful. Every question or concern we had was promptly responded too, and the information was 100% accurate each time. We enjoyed horseback riding and kayaking during our trip, but honestly we spent the largest part of our visit out and about on the many, many riding trails nearby. Unfortunately we didnât get to do any fishing, hot tubbing, or campfires (burn bans were in place) but there is a hot tub on the property, a wonderful little fire pit as well, and access to the river is literally within a mile of the property (you can also drive to one of the lakes nearby or go below the damn and fish, all within just a few minutes of the cabin). The cabin is wonderfully appointed with everything that you will need to enjoy your stay. The Instant hot water heater made showering and meal preparation a breeze (shuffling a 12 and 14 yo can be a pain). The kitchen, bath, and loft have wonderful furnishings, the countertops were a pleasant surprise in both the kitchen and bath as well, and the cabinets were full of everything you could need to prepare and serve your meals. I could go on and on about the property, but my best advice is to take a visit for yourself and enjoy the Little Chalet for yourself. I know my wife and I will definitely be going back, hopefully we will get to enjoy more of what the cabin has to offer next time, but even if we just repeat every aspect of our trip, I am sure we will leave with a smile on our faces just again.
Our stay was fantastic. The property is extremely clean and well-equipped, and the communication from our hosts was great. The property is a mere 20-30 minute drive from the west entrance to YNP. Highly recommend!
I took my daughters to Yellowstone for their graduation gift. The little Chalet was perfect!!!! The property was secluded and had lots of extras to enjoy. Teara was great and helped each time we spoke. We loved our stay.
Great little cabin to stay while visiting Yellowstone. West Yellowstone is just 25 minutes away and itâs a very scenic drive. We enjoyed the hot tub after each day of hiking. There is also a cool river kayaking place 4 minutes away which was very fun.
Relaxed family getaway about 25 minutes from West Yellowstone entrance
This is a very cute little cabin, and the owners, Andy and Teara, know and love the area and care that the people staying in their cabin are having a wonderful time and enjoying what the area has to offer.
This cabin in such a gem. It was a wonderful spot to stay outside the crowds of the park. It is small but has everything you need to make your stay relaxing. This inside of the cabin is super cozy. The deck outside it wonderful for relaxing in the afternoons, we ate every dinner outside. The bbq grill was in good working order which was great for easy meals outside. The highlight was probably the hot tub! Our kids loved relaxing in it at night and it was in a great spot right on the deck and protected from wind and rain. Teara was a very kind and helpful host. She has a lot of knowledge about the area and you can tell the chalet is a place she really loves and takes care of well for others to enjoy.
This was an amazing trip. It had the exact feel that we wanted for this type of trip. The location was wonderful and it had everything we could have asked for. That shoe dryer definitely came in handy ;)
The owners, Teara and Andy, have put a lot of thought into this cabin to maximize the space and help you have a good experience. The pine interior is cozy rustic and yet also modern with plenty of amenities. The owners go above and beyond also were very responsive when we had a couple of questions. The property is half an hour from West Yellowstone and the park entrance along an easy stretch of highway. There also are beautiful state parks on the Idaho side nearby that we recommend visitors check out. We highly recommend this property and we plan to contact the owners about their places if weâre back in the area to visit again.
My husband and I, with our little one, stayed here for a few nights in August and had an amazing time. We loved eating bbq out on the deck and letting our little one run around. The cabin was pretty easy to baby/toddler proof. We loved how it felt secluded and that we had our own space. The location is close to Big Springs and about 30mins away from Mesa Falls and Harriman State Park which is totally worth the drive. It was a very cozy place to stay and just the vacation we needed. Thank you!
We loved staying here for our 11th wedding anniversary. The place is cozy, quiet and well thought out. We found plenty of adventure outside in the woods.
My boyfriend and I booked this cabin for the Yellowstone portion of our Teton/Yellowstone adventure. It was our first trip together, and we could not have asked for a better first cabin! First of all, Teara ALWAYS replied very quickly, answering all of my questions and addressing any concerns I had. The directions to get to the cabin are clearly spelled out in the very informative and helpful PDF guide that they've made for the cabin. This was a relief because we were worried about limited cell service and using our maps on our phones. So we had no trouble at all finding it. When we got there, we were absolutely in LOVE with the huge front deck, complete with an assortment of patio furniture and a grill (which we used that night). It was a perfect spot to sit and drink our coffee in the morning (which they provided in the kitchen)! The cabin sits on the edge of a forest, so your view is trees, NOT a bunch of other cabins, and we loved that secluded feeling. The living area was incredibly cozy, and we had no problems turning the TV on to our favorite streaming service, and the WiFi is great. The bathroom is plenty big (bigger than I thought it would be), and it also comes with a washer/dryer. I didn't really think we would need or use that, but it actually came in handy to do a quick load of laundry before we left, that way were weren't lugging around a bunch or dirty clothes, and we could wear those clothes again the rest of the trip. The bedroom loft area is great, and was also bigger than I anticipated. Super comfy bed, and there is even a fan up there you can plug in if you need the noise or the breeze of a fan to sleep. Everything was impeccably clean and the the beautiful work they have done on the cabin is apparent and appreciated. I wanted to take the front door home with me, I loved it so much! And to top it all off, Teara provided us with take-home goodies, including candies and an incredibly soft blanket! I used this blanket regularly throughout the trip and have been using it at home often. This was truly a wonderful stay, my only complaint is that we didn't get to stay longer!
As soon as you enter the door you can smell the wood and you are literally amazed with this little cabin. It has every little thing that you can think of it. Cooking was easy because the small kitchenette has all of the gadgets of a big kitchen. The little Chalet invites you to relax and enjoy your mountain adventures.
