Beautiful home! Perfect location and arrangement. Our family of 12 loved it. The amenities were perfect for us! Check in and out was very easy. The one big gripe I have to say is that the bathrooms need remodeling badly. Thereâs a mix of hot and cold with mold in the showers.
The home was charming. We wish the mold in the small shower in the room connected to the library had been cleaned off. Also, the pots and pans in the kitchen really need to be replaced . The food stuck to them and they were hard to clean.Otherwise everything was nice. Our large family had a good time!
We celebrated our daughterâs elopement and hosted a family gathering at the house. The house was spacious and had plenty of rooms for us. We enjoyed dinners out on the side deck and our dogs enjoyed their stay as well. The place was clean except for the hot tub- we were hoping to use the hot tub but it was dirty and while the maintenance person did come on our second day, it was still not ready to use. Other than that, the house was perfect for our celebration.
Property and house are lovely. Despite running out of propane and warm water and being cold, we made the best out of it. The owner refunded some money back and was responsive andprofirewood, which we used up.
My grown children and their families spent Christmas here. There was plenty of space for everyone. The large, well-stocked kitchen was also very nice. Everyone enjoyed the sauna and hot tub as well
I stayed in this beautiful property with some family and friends to celebrate my birthday. There was room for everyone, it was in a beautiful location, and the house had everything we needed. Would stay again!
We had a great stay. Thank you. Cute house. We had no response from the host. We are still unclear if the cottage was included or not. Possible miscommunication.
My family and I had a wonderful get-together at the Russian River House. We especially liked the historical nature of the house. The close proximity to the Sonoma County Airport was very convenient to out-of-state family. The house location was close to the Sonoma coastline as well as surrounding towns, wineries, and other sightseeing. The house was well-equipped with necessities. One kitchen item wasn't operational and the host will be providing a replacement. The kitchen and bathrooms had dish and hand soap. We brought our own bath soap and shampoo/conditioner. The large porch with tables, chairs, and swing, was very comfortable during the day for meals and relaxation. We also appreciated having 6 bedrooms with private ensuite bathrooms. All of us enjoyed our stay!
This property was the perfect setting for a friends gathering. The house is spacious, unique and homely. We all agreed it was the best weekend made by the incredible property. Thank you
I brought a dozen friends for the weekend, the house was great, we had a great time indoors&out. The 5 bedrooms each have a queen bed and a bathroom and a fireplace. The wraparound deck has great views of trees and birds and sky. We especially enjoyed the hottub, sauna,
Our family had a wonderful time at Santa Nella House. The house had everything we needed, it had enough space for everyone to spread out, the wrap around porch was spacious, we ate our meals outdoors every day, the hot tub and sauna were awesome, and the fire pit at night was a wonderful added bonus so that we could sit around making sâmores and sharing stories. Weâll be back!
Fabulous house. Very comfortable and perfect for five or ten. We had five of us so we each had our own room And Bathroom. Hot tub was great. Everything is close. Seems like everything was no more than twenty minutes away from the ocean to wineries to great bicycle trails in Forestwood to a great breakfast in Graton at Willow wood market. And watch The Birds movie and then go to Bodega Bay!
We had our extended out-of-town family stay here for our late October wedding-- our parents, sibs and families, and our kids. it was a fantastic choice. Lots of flexibility with the different bedroom configurations, comfortable beds, places for kids/adults to hang out separately, hot tub. The house was clean and well cared for, and the yard was nice too. Short drive to downtown Guerneville with a Safeway, and Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve with beautiful old growth redwoods. A great find!
Outside:The deck was dirty. One of the metal tables had a broken leg making it very wobbly. A few of the outdoor chairs had broken armrests. The lampposts out front were not working. The BBQ was not clean (despite the emphatic note saying to make sure to clean it after use). The driveway has a very large dip causing damage to vehicles (trucks had no problem, but regular vehicles scrapped).Main House:The whole house was dusty and had cobwebs on the ceilings. In most rooms there were a few light bulbs that did not work. In one of the rooms we found a gel bra pad laying on the bed.In several rooms the mattresses and pillows were stained. In one downstairs restroom there was hair in the shower and a contact lens on the floor. The other restroom downstairs was moldy, had a broken fan, and the sink basin was too small causing water to spray out when used. Two of the restrooms upstairs have very old fashioned showers that would get stuck on hot. The old fashioned tubs were also very high and had no shower mat outside making it easy to slip. In one of the upstairs restrooms there were no curtains on the low window allowing the neighbors to see right in. The dishwasher door was skewed to one side making it hard to close. The house says it sleeps 14. However, there were only 9 plates, 5 bowls, 9 dining chairs, and too few wine glasses/cups/mugs. We had to go get our own to make up for it.The fire extinguishers were expired (exp 2016 when checked)They also asked for a tip??
We rented the property for the last week of June 2023 for your fifth annual family retreat. We have no significant issues and the house worked wonderfully for our group (13 adults and an infant).
- The house (and its contents) are loaded with character. Furniture is very much in line with the house (period pieces vs. Ikea).
- We used all six bedrooms/bathrooms. One adult did end up on a rollaway bed which worked fine.
- The kitchen is large and well equipped. We did all meals at the house, so there was a lot of activity in kitchen. It was nice that the kitchen had âleftoversâ of non-perishable items that previous guest had left behind (actually helped us avoid additional trips to store in town). Note â the fridge is a bit on the small size for a large group, but we made do.
- Hot tub heated to about 100 degrees and was a wonderful way to enjoy late evenings.
- House is near a main road but there so there was a bit of noise (but nothing compared to city noise).
- We were easily able to parks six cars (not SUVs, but expect it could accommodate six as well). Note â the house is not in town and a car is needed when venturing out.
- Library of books and games was a nice touch.
Overall, a great stay in a beautiful old house with lots of spaces to spread out and relax.
PS â one of our group left behind a computer charger and the owner was nice enough to quickly get it mailed to us. Very much appreciated.
Our lovely Victorian home is at the center of everything! This Russian River home, in the Sonoma Wine Country, is a Victorian farmhouse dating back to the 1870âs. We are next to Korbel Winery and the river, 20 minute drive to Hwy 1 and California Coastline. Extensively renovated and modernized, the stately structure boasts five bedrooms and five and half bathrooms. Each room is tastefully furnished with antiques, features its own fireplace and a modern bathroom. The spa area (hot tub and sauna) is located in the midst of a redwood grove and seats six.
Built by a prominent physician as his residence, the property has been an olive oil mill, a winery, a speak-easy, a stage coach stop and a bed and breakfast in its long history
