Our family had the pleasure of staying at this restored 1870 farmhouse over the weekend, and it was an unforgettable experience. It's a perfect blend of history, nature, and fun for the family. The charm of the farmhouse is just the start of the property.
We were aware of the fishing pond and cool walking trails that wind through the woods but not to the extent we discovered. Kids loved swimming in the pond with a floating dock, discovering things in the rustic tool shed, and kayaking down on the river all added an extra layer of adventure for our family. We came for a Dawgs game and left with "farm" memories that will last a lifetime thanks to the incredible owners!
The farmhouse is more than just a place to stay; itâs a living history lesson as well (and was even the backdrop for an upcoming video for a massive country star!). Our kids enjoyed reading, playing games, and playing the piano in the library.
Meeting the owners was a highlightâthey made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Their warmth and hospitality added a personal touch that made our stay even more special.
The location is perfect for those wanting to explore or go to a game in Athens....but we found it hard to leave the property! Itâs the kind of place where you can truly unplug and reconnect with nature and each other.
As much as we wanted to keep word of this place all to ourselves, its a gem and so are the owners! Thank y'all so much!!
Go Dawgs!
