Great location, near stores, parks and bicycle trails. House is well stocked with cooking items and linens. Some rooms have been updated, and others need some TLC. Really liked making fresh OJ from trees out back. Owners are very responsive
The owners made our arrivals and departures care free! The house was very welcoming and even had a cute Christmas tree for our use!
The orange tree produced perfect orange juice that we enjoyed every day! We would definitely rent this house again!
Absolutely beautiful property in the middle of everything. The backyard was very lit up so you were comfortable to set outside at night. The beautiful landscape and flowers brought a lot of birds which added to its beauty. We felt at home the moment we walked in and will absolutely book again!
We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Everything worked fine. As a result, we had no reason to contact the owners. The house needs some basic repairs and it would be a great place for a family get-a-way. The holes in the walls really should be repaired.
Upon arrival we checked out the place The pool had not been serviced in weeks--19 days into our stay the pool was finally usable. The yard was messy the cascading waterfall was not working--I had to replace fridge water filter and fix sliding door to pool area--bathrooms were full of soap scum and poorly cleaned-contact areas like light switches-were not cleaned--The whole house needs a good cleaning and repainting. There are 4 closest doors on upper level and all of them are off their tracks and in the master the door is broken. There were 4 smoke alarms in the house and NONE worked-They were from 2002 and had expired over 10 years ago--NO ONE HAD EVER CHECKED THEM--This is a total failure by the host!!!!!! Host needs to actually have an inspection list and inspect the property before new guest arrive. On the plus side the property is in a nice location--has a well equipped kitchen lots of linen and towels but furniture is outdated and warn.
Be prepared to be spied on â not very safe for children
This property has the potential to be nice; however there were several major problems I wish we had known before our stay. Be prepared that it looks much nicer and larger in pictures than in actuality.
Cons:
1. There are video cameras EVERYWHERE on the property (we found 7, not sure how many we missed). Including 2 pointed directly towards the swimming pool. We found this completely inappropriate, especially since the property is listed for families with children. I DO NOT want my children videotaped in swimwear! This should be disclosed to potential renters.
2. Not safe for children. Stairs are steep and does not have a handrail. There are no floor mats anywhere and the floors are incredibly slippers with damp feet.
3. The back yard has dozens of lights on timers that cannot be turned off. It is blindingly light to the point where you canât sleep in two of the bedrooms. This light pollution attracts moths and beetles all night long and in the morning the pool is filled with dead insects.
4. Homeowners must use incredibly toxic poisons because there were dead and dying bees, butterflies and lizards everywhere in the backyard during the day too. I did not want my kids playing in the backyard because of this.
5. Home needs renovations, there was a broken pool drain cover (our daughter fell in and injured her leg when accessing the diving board). Tiles falling off on the pool edge and on walkways, etc.
6. House is in need of a deep clean, although the house was tidy; there was a thick layer of filth on blinds, plastic flowers, etc.
7. Very cheap polyester sheets overly scented. I wish I had brought my own cotton sheets.
Pros:
1. Pool was great!! Although not as big as it appears in the photos (approximately 25â x 10â and 8â deep- give or take) the pool is the best feature of this property. It is full sun until about 2PM and then partial shade. In late July the temperature was perfect during the day but cool by dusk. The slide was fun! Pool toys provided were well utilized.
2. Split design of the house with king bedroom upstairs and queen bedroom downstairs allows 2 couples to have a lot of privacy.
3. Neighborhood was quiet and fine to walk in.
4. Homeowner was accommodating for 30 extra minutes for a late checkout.
Bottom line: not worth the price and cameras on pool are inappropriate.
Exterior was well maintained. Interior is dated. Internet download speed 23 Mb/sec Upload speed 12 Mb/sec. Owner was very responsive to requests such as adding an extra bed as advertised. Also replaced a faucet.
We had an amazing stay at this property. 3 families and we all had plenty of room to spread out, both inside and out. Nice outside spaces. Well equiped kitchen complete with spices and all kinds of pots and pans. Plenty of plates and utencils and a dishwasher! Big fridge and freezer. Comfy beds. Nice whirlpool bathtub. Fun pool with a slide that even our college kids enjoyed. Frys and Sprouts and Sweet Tomatoes nearby.
Everything about the home was as advertised and worked out well for our 2 1/2 month stay. We particularly enjoyed the well landscaped backyard, just sitting in the sun and reading! The only downside, and not anything to do with the owners, was the pack of dogs that resided next door and their nearly constant barking, especially in the overnight hours.
Lovely home, fully furnished, every room is spacious including bedrooms. Excellent communication with hosts. Submitted a list of items needed. At his request, we purchased them and was reimbursed. Home repairs were quickly attended to. Quiet neighborhood. Helpful having home outlined with lights making it easy to find at night after a long day's work. The oranges from the trees were juicy and delicious. We enjoyed our stay.
Well loved, comfortable coming home atmosphere. Doesnt feel like you're staying at an impersonal resort- more like with old friends you've known forever. We didn't realize all bathrooms required stairs - forgot to ask before we booked - had to change original plans for sleeping arrangements - a little flexibility and teamwork solved the issue and made for some extra fun. The yard is delightful- hosts patient and attentive. Neighborhood dogs dont know about the 10pm quiet rule - its something when the coyotes get them going. - & they are up out and barking again at 6am. Just like home.
The size of the property is great along with the backyard. We were all able to fit comfortably.
The place needs some TLC. There were spiderwebs on every piece of the patio furniture. The sheets had stains on them in multiple bedrooms. In the master bedroom the bed is extremely soft. Downstairs we found a cricket, cockroach, a giant hairball in the shower and a lizard.
Perfect location and home from which to stage the drop off of our twins at college. Hosts even let us have packages delivered to the home prior to our arrival from the east coast. The pool and hard were a game changer in terms of relaxation and an oasis from all the errands and emotions.
Our family getaway consisted of 3 cousins and one mom/aunt ranging in age from 50s to 90. The house was rather âwell-lovedâ, but comfy and spotless! We spent most of our time in the beautiful backyard enjoying the pool and patio. The neighborhood was a perfect jumping-off spot for Mt Lemmon, Sabino Canyon, and Saguaro East. We appreciated the generous array of sunscreens (and mints!) by the front door-that Arizona sun is brutal any time of the year. A couple of suggestions to make it even better-perhaps a few bottles of water to tide visitors over until they can go shopping, a small bottle of shampoo to go with the conditioner in the shower, and a pad of paper and pencils for folks who want to make use of the cards and games in the office area. Overall, we loved our time in Tucson and would definitely recommend this property to others.
The house and was perfect for my family. We had a great time. The house had everything we needed and the yard was perfect for my kids to play in. Will definitely stay here again!
Charming home with all the necessities. The place has nice scenery in a quiet neighborhood. The pool was just what we needed to cool off from a hot day. Wish we couldâve stayed longer in this cozy home!
I rented this for my nephews wedding so our family could be together in one place. It accommodated half of our group which was great. We really enjoyed the place and it met our needs.
We have lived in Tucson since 1992, having lived all over the states we fell in love with Arizona. The climate, the mountains, the activities and the sunny skies, you can't beat it. Having grown up in the Midwest, Cindy from the Nebraska Sandhills as a cattle ranchers daughter, and myself from the Chicagoland we don't miss the cold winters and shoveling snow. We raised our four boys here, were involved with a lot of sporting activities with them, and now that they have all moved away, most of them out of state, we are empty nesters. Currently we spend our time working with couples as they join their lives I'm marriage, performing ceremonies and putting together the wedding receptions. It's enjoyable and rewarding. I have worked many jobs over the year, was a weatherman in the Air Force, work for UPS for many years, have pastored churches for years, and find working with young, and older couples is a lot of fun.
The East side of Tucson where this property is located has a lot to offer. Many Restaurants, Parks, Theaters, shopping, and not too far from downtown Tucson and the University of Arizona but far enough away from all the traffic. Located between Broadway and Speedway you have quick access to many of the attractions in Tucson's Eastside.
We raised our family in this place, made it our home. Made it comfortable. We put a lot of TLC into this home over the years. The living room is my favorite room with large window panes that look out to the lush green back yard with roses bushes and a waterfall. It is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, in a cul de sac, with some mountain views. The pool has a slide and diving board and nice comfortable lawn chairs under a porch for a refreshing time outside. There is high speed internet, wifi and Direct TV and a separate media room for your entertainment.
