Belle maison sur la rivière

Belle maison de 3 ou 4 chambres donnant sur la baie de Baugo sur la rivière St Joesph, à seulement 16 kilomètres du campus Notre Dame. Prend 18 minutes pour y arriver, nous y avons travaillé 10 ans! Il ne fait vraiment pas mieux que cela, la vue à couper le souffle est incroyable de l'intérieur de la maison ou à l'extérieur sur l'un des 5 ponts. Il y a des endroits pour dormir partout et beaucoup de salles de bain complètes. La maison est également accessible aux personnes handicapées. Si vous voulez jouer, nous avons des jeux, billard, fléchettes, Wii, PS3, et il y a des téléviseurs partout. Équipé pour plus de plaisir que vous aurez le temps de profiter et de construire quand vous ne pouvez plus jouer.

Old pictures on app. This house is lived in. Dirty furniture. Oven door doesn't close. Door opens to an elevator in house which you could fall down fifteen feet. Drawers all full and nowhere to put luggage. Lots of extension cords everywhere {fire hazard}. Odd room setup downstairs. Bathroom downstairs is very cramped. Not worth the price!

Great spot right on the water!

Check in was easy and straightforward. Owner was communicative and friendly. 10/10 would stay again. It’s an easy drive into South Bend if you’re in town for a ND game.

Great Place to Stay!

Lots of space for everyone to hang out! Beautiful open lake in the back. Comfy and cozy inside with nice bathrooms and lots of options for sleeping. Nice location and not far from some nice quick food options. Would stay again!

Great location

Stayed for a Notre Dame football game. Very close to campus. Very cool spot! Would definitely stay at this location again! Owner of the property was extremely friendly.

Lake birthday getaway

This was a perfect place to celebrate my birthday with friends! The backyard offered spectacular views, great swimming, and good times by all of us! Will keep in mind for the future.

Beautiful Views

The views from the decks are beautiful. The house does sleep 10 but there are not 4 bedrooms; really only 2. We ended up renting a boat on a different lake because the St Joseph River is not good for a novice boat driver, plus the boat at the house was not operating. Hot tub was great but there is no fire pit. All in all we had a nice peaceful time with family and enjoyed the sunset.

Beautiful view!

Gregg’s place was so comfortable and homey and peaceful for a get together of sisters and friends to celebrate my sister who is getting married this month. We had several people coming from different directions, and there was plenty of parking space. The view from the decks was one of our favorite parts, but the hot tub, ample outdoor spaces and seating, comfy living room, comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen were very appreciated and enjoyed as well. Everything was set up and ready for our arrival, with plenty of towels, extra blankets and even fans for the bedrooms. This place did not disappoint!!

Awesome stay for large groups!

We rented Gregg’s spot for a 30th birthday party and had an awesome time. Gregg was very responsive and communicative host, and the space was more than enough for 10 sleeping over and up to 14 coming over during the day. The varied levels of rooms and decks provided lots of different environments for people to hang out in. It was a very food heavy weekend, so the propane and grill were lifesavers, although we did have some issues with the oven so keep that in mind. It was also helpful that we brought blow up mattresses as there were 4 beds and the rest of the sleeping area were couches. Overall a ton to do and a perfect weekend!

Family getaway

Gregg, the property owner was super friendly and very easy to work with! Property was expected as listed! There were 7 of us and there was plenty of beds and sleeping options available-he even set out an extra air mattress which did help! Beds were super comfortable. View was beautiful. Home had what we needed for our stay. We griled one night. Went out one night. Went to local winery. Relaxed in hot tub. Fished and overall enjoyed the entire home. Shopping close by and neighbors were super friendly as well! Would definitely recommend this home!

Some concerns, but net positive

One of the things to consider is that although this listing states 2 queen beds, that may not necessarily be true. One of the queen beds was locked in a room, and the renter stated we weren’t allowed to use it. Instead we had one queen bed in a room, the two twin beds, the full futon, and one air mattress. This made it difficult for us to coordinate sleeping as we had 10 people which this listing states we can accommodate, but only if some people sleep on the couch. Additionally, we were there for the weekend and brought a lot of food. The renter had his fridge half full with food already making it difficult to place what we brought. We made it work. But it would be better if he had a separate fridge where he places his belongings when guests are there. We couldn’t find the garbage can in the beginning, but after messaging him he quickly told us where it was. He was very responsive. Otherwise, the place was very clean, and was stocked with dinner plates and utensils. The sunsets were beautiful and they had a great patio that had gorgeous flowers.

Our VRBO was everything that was advertised!

9 adults gathering for a football game at Notre Dame. Enough beds, bedding and towels for all. It was very comfortable for everyone when we were relaxing, drinking and eating after the game. Great communication with Gregg made check in and out a breeze. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location and home

We had a wonderful time staying at the River House. The location is just beautiful, and the house had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. The owner was very easy to work with.

Gem in Indiana

We were looking for a waterfront property anywhere. We then found this gem. It is homey and clean. The views are awesome. It is on Baugo Bay on the St Joesph river, because you are in a bay you feel like you are on a lake, bonus! Minimal current, you can safely swim/jump off the dock. So fun! Greg, owner, provides flotation devices you can tie to the dock, allowing you to float and enjoy the wake from boats going by. Noted many pontoons in the area. There are multiple riverfront balconies in this house, with the BEST VIEWS! Can I mention the views again, lol. Host provides everything you need and is readily available if you need him. Neighborhood is quiet. You can find essentials in the area nearby, like grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants. There is a nearby state park and about 15-20 minutes from the Campus of Notre Dame. Do not hesitate to rent this gem. Will definitely rent again. Thanks Greg for your great hospitality!

Great summer weekend escape!

Surprised my husband for his 33rd birthday and booked this place for him & our friends :-) the House was beautiful- much nicer than the pictures! Loved all the outdoor space, breakfast looking out over the water. We ended up renting kayaks and canoes from the state park and we’re able to paddle to the house, have lunch & drinks then paddle back! Thanks for a perfect summer weekend!

Relaxing on the river

I enjoyed our stay. The host was amazing at communicating and often went above and beyond. Place was clean and prepped for our group when we walked in on a hot summer day. If you like sunsets, relaxing on the deck/patio, and a good pool table, this is a good spot for you.

I bought all brick home with oak floors on the river when my wife worked at Notre Dame, and fell in love with the water, and the peace it brings, as well as the fun. So I continued to upgrade the house and different ways to enjoy the property inside and out. My family's has every gathering here, Christmas, reunions and all holidays here. The house is so comfortable and so many things to do. Just wonderful!!!!

This is the perfect house for family get togethers, its always the our large family gets together for reunions, and celebrations, at a reasonable price. The large body of water is breathtaking. Just beautiful !!!!

The view of the sunset over the water in the backyard is breathtaking and can be seen from all most all the rooms in the house. So many games to play inside and out. Or just the perfect place to relax. The sun sets in the backyard over Baugo Bay.
