The rooms were clean and comfortable. Had a wonderful extended family get together and everyone was able to spread out and enjoy themselves. There happened to be an art fair down the road at the park that was unexpected but enjoyed! It's location was perfect. The weather was perfect. The hosts were very receptive.

We had a great stay overall and would definitely recommend this home, especially for a larger group coming into town for a football weekend. The house was spacious, clean, and had plenty of room for everyone to spread out comfortably.We did have a little difficulty getting into the house when we first arrived, but the owner responded very quickly and helped us resolve the issue right away, which we really appreciated.One thing worth noting is that some of the photos make the yard appear fenced, but it is actually open. This wasn't a problem for us, and our dogs still enjoyed the grassy area out front, but it may be important information for guests traveling with pets.The neighborhood is very charming, quiet, and perfect for morning walks. We especially enjoyed exploring the area with our dogs each day.The owners have done a beautiful job renovating the home, blending modern updates with the character of an older house. The kitchen and bathrooms felt fresh and updated, while original features like the wood floors add a lot of charm. Like many well-loved older homes, it has a familiar scent that reminded us a bit of visiting a grandparent's house. Everything was clean and comfortable.Overall, this is a great option for travelers looking for a spacious place in a peaceful neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the owner's responsiveness and hospitality.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay in South Bend at Justine and Isaac's beautiful home. The house is well-maintained, clean, very spacious, and was the perfect home base for our golf trip. It is in a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood with plenty of room for parking in the driveway, too. We will absolutely be staying again the next time we are in town!

We would rate our stay 2/5 stars. There were some positives, but also many issues that need attention.The hot tub did not work when we arrived, and we reported it right away. The host was responsive and kept us updated, which we appreciated, but they couldn't get anyone out to clean or repair it during our stay. The lights over the hot tub were sagging and looked like a significant safety concern had we been able to use it. A smoke alarm also wasn't working because it needed batteries.The house was likely very nice once, and the photos may reflect that. Now it needs attention, especially in terms of cleanliness. We couldn't use the extra sheets or bedding because they were dirty and stained; the floors were so dirty the kids' feet turned black, and the closets were crammed with junk that fell out when we opened them. The basement with the washer and dryer was in such poor condition that we considered it a sanitation issue and didn't use it."Close to campus" is only true of the far southwest corner. It was about a 30-minute walk to the Notre Dame Bookstore.Positives: the master bedroom and bathroom were good, the beds and bedrooms suited our group, and we enjoyed the nearby park. A thorough deep cleaning and attention to maintenance and safety items would make a big difference.Overall, the house worked for our group, but the cleanliness and safety concerns kept it from matching the listing and photos.

Great for our family gathering!

The size of the house was great for hosting our family of 8. Especially the 3.5 bathrooms! The kitchen was well stocked and the house was clean.

Mini Family Reunion

This is a great location with its proximity to the University of Notre Dame. A secluded, wooded, and quiet neighborhood park across the street also adds to the charm of the property. The sleeping arrangements worked great for our mini family reunion, and I already miss the memory foam mattress in the master bedroom.

Friends gathered for winery trip

I was a good central location for us to visit wineries in both indiana and michigan. Enough beds for everyone and in a nice neighborhood. Easy check in and check out. Good communication with host.

Justine and Issac were great hosts from the beginning (before even booking) Answering questions and being so helpful And accommodating with our large group of families ranging from 4-77 from Seattle, WA, San Leandro, CA, Woodstock, GA and Ocala, FL and very rapid in responding! When back in area will look up again!! Thank you for a great stay
