Everything was perfect - location, comfort, room. High quality experience.
Bill - your place is excellent. We had seven of us and each had a bed. The outside is unreal with the couch, firepit, and grill. The renovations are spot on and everything was thoughtfully put together and laid out. You could not ask for a better place.
We rented this property and won five doors down for our whole party for the wedding. The girls got ready here and had multiple bathrooms. As well as not natural light. The kids love the fact that there are conditioning units in each bedroom, so it was able to be controlled very well.
4 of us adults had a wonderful and relaxing stay at this property for commencement weekend. The home had everything we needed, for the 4 days (including washer, dryer, iron & ironing board); we could come and go with ease. Nice to come back to after the various ceremonies on campus and have a full 'house', not simply hotel rooms. Would have been nice to have a driveway, but our (unexpectedly large) rental SUV was perfectly fine at the curb. The beds were comfortable! thank you for a nice stay.
We were 5 women in town for an event at St. Mary's. Bill was great to work with in the reservation process. The house was perfect for our needs. The layout is great. Nice kitchen and well appointed bathrooms. The linens, beds and bedding were all top notch. The heat and humidity made it hard to enjoy the furnished patio area, but in cooler weather it would have been a great place to barbecue and take advantage of the nice patio. We would definitely stay here again.
We are 1968 grads for University of Notre Dame. It was reunion weekend. There were 6 of us. The home was just perfect. Everyone had a comfortable and private bedroom. There were plenty of bathrooms. The public spaces were attractive, comfortable and easy to access. We all loved the patio for sitting out in the evening. The owner was very responsive. We had a minor issue with a lock on the patio door. He had a handy man there within hours to fix it.
The house was clean and a decent proximity to ND and the host communication was always prompt. The host provides a very detailed book for things to do in the city and instructions on how to maintain the home.
However the location warranted some caution for safety. The ac also doesnât function upstairs so this is not a good VRBO for the summer heat as it gets pretty warm and uncomfortable especially at night and most of the available sleeping is on this level. The basement is nicely updated as well.
Closing sliding door curtain bar and brackets came out of the wall and hit a person on the head. Should paint concrete step in front of house 2 people almost fell one did twisted their ankle and couldnât bowl in the tournament the reason we were there. There are wasps between the board s on the porch girl got a sting.Rails are loose upstairs and down.Grass was not cut.All floors were dirty.Kitchen facet is loose.Loose shingles on roof over sliding patio door.Fire pit area is not anything like the picture.Should change how many people can really sleep in this house.
We had a great stay in this home for graduation weekend. It was 5-10 minutes from ND and Eddy St (we drove). The home had been refinished with good quality options, and it was on a quiet, peaceful street. (The tissues, paper towels and toilet paper were nice quality unlike the very thin ones in most VRBOs - seems silly to mention, but it's the little things...). Very clean and well-maintained. We would definitely stay here again!
Very nice, cozy, updated and well-appointed house. The host was fantastic - great communication, with a very easy check-in and checkout process. Would be a wonderful location for ND game or any other event.
My friends and I (all 50+ college friends) had a great weekend in South Bend for the ND / Stanford game - despite the loss:) The house is exactly as I expected it to be and for 7 guys we were able to get everyone their own bed - I took the fouton next to the living room which was comfortable and private. The coffee bar is a godsend, and the kitchen is good. We used the cooler from the basement for our drinks and turned on the gas firepit a bit during the weekend. The house was clean and the checkout process was easy. Couple of things that I would point out to the owner: you could used a light on the back deck. We were out there BBQing after dark and there is really no light other that the light shining outside from the kitchen. Secondly, there were no products like aluminum foil or storage bags for food. I ran out and got them but they would have been helpful. Otherwise, while rather expensive for 2 night (granted, everything is expensive on game weekends), it was a fantastic weekend.
We had a wonderful weekend! The property was spotless and spacious for our group of 7 adults. It was within walking distance to campus - ideal for a football weekend. After the game we enjoyed the evening outside on the deck. We leave with great memories.
We had a wedding in South Bend and rented this location for the weekend with my husband and his siblings. While a short stay, the location was great. The home itself was clean and safe. Overall, it was a great experience and when visiting in the future, we would stay again.
Super house for a football weekend! We walked to the stadium which was a definite advantage. The property was well stocked with everything needed, even laundry supplies. Attractive Irish decor and extremely clean.
This was a perfect house and location for the hectic and meaningful experience of dropping our son at college. So nice to have a retreat slightly removed from but very proximate to campus for logistical management and emotional recovery over the course of the weekend. Bill was very responsive and helpful and made sure the house was stocked with plenty of tissues! The first of many visits!!!
The property was accurately described and very user friendly. The host was very gracious and accommodating. The beds were fabulous and the 5 of us were very comfortable with plenty of room for all. I would highly recommend this property and host.
As an involved ND alum and proud father of one, I found myself traveling back to campus many times during the year. I grew tired of the hotels and other rental options available in the area and decided to fulfill my dream of owning a home at ND. I helped pay for this dream by renting it out for some football games. One thing led to another and now I have several homes that are all less than a mile from the stadium. My homes are now 100% short-term rentals only and I remodeled and decorated them with that in mind. Having traveled extensively myself for many years, I strive to provide the amenities of a nice hotel with the comfort of home. I have partnered with a very professional cleaning company and linen service to thoroughly clean and sanitize between guests. I have also partnered with the Center for the Homeless and use some of the revenue from these rentals to sponsor their guests. I love sharing my homes and my love for ND and would be honored to have you as my guest!
You will not find a home cleaner, better equipped, or better thought out for your stay. You can easily walk to the Notre Dame campus, Eddy Street shopping and dining district, or even downtown South Bend from this uniquely located property.
