The Snug offers a cozy, spacious retreat in an unbeatable central location on a corner lot within easy walking distance to both pools, the beach pick-up and upper park amenities. Original charm combined with modern updates and generous outdoor space make The Snug the perfect choice for your Lookout stay during every season.

The main floor features a picture-perfect living room (where The Snug got its name, perhaps?!) with ample seating and a cozy gas fireplace. Gather around the dining table (seats 8 comfortably), or cook up something delicious in the fully-stocked kitchen with island seating, a farmhouse sink, and modern appliances. A mud-room for post-beach showers or snowy day gear drops, and the primary suite with en suite bathroom and walk-in closet complete the main floor.

The upper level features three more bedrooms and two full bathrooms: another primary suite with en suite bathroom and walk-in closet, a guest room with walk-in closet, a large bunk room and media room, and an additional full bathroom.

Enjoy a good book or a glass of wine on the large, wraparound front porch. Wind down your evenings with sunset dinner or s'mores under the stars on the back patio which features a fire table, gas grill and lounge area. The Snug is equipped with all the things needed for a comfortable stay: board games, kid gates, floaties and more. Off-street parking available for one car, plus plenty of street parking nearby.

Quiet and relaxing

Only complaint is that the stairs from the porch down to the parking spot really need more lighting. Rather dangerous at night.

Great Vacation Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house layout was great for families with kids. The kids love the bunk bed room. The only things that we wish could've been better were that the hot tub, the dishwasher and the fireplace heating guard on the outside of the house. The hot tub could only heat about 1 degree per hour, with the lid closed and it couldn't hold the temperature once we removed the lid to use the hot tub. The temp goes down 2 degrees within 15 minutes. The dishwasher's dry cycle doesn't work. The managementThe fire place's back side sticks out on the front porch. Even though it has a warning "HOT" on the unit, we had little ones running around. One little one snuck by and touched it. She wasn't seriously hurt but I feel that it would be better if that area was sectioned off. Several of our guests had server allergic reaction during the stay especially when they were upstairs. We suspected it was cat/dog hair. So we loaded up on Benadryl. I didn't pay attention to whether or not this unit was listed as pet-friendly.

Family fun time

We had a great time at this property! It was very clean and well stocked. The only thing missing were some extra blankets. There were plenty of bath and pool towels. Kitchen is as well stocked. Grill was great. There is a hot tub but we didn’t use it because the kids wanted to be at the pool. Thanks he wrap around porch was lovely. The resort was very nice with the marina for our boat and our kids loved both pools. The home is near the central playground which is great! We had a great time and would love to return!

Lovely House but lacked in customer service

This house was so cute! The decor was great, beds were comfy, had plenty of bathrooms, and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed. Overall, the experience with the house was great but the Lookout’s customer service was questionable. The first issue was when our group asked for an early check in. I called ahead twice in the weeks and days prior to our stay to request an early check in and was told they would note the request on my reservation but it was not guaranteed (normal), but upon arriving to Chelan, I called to check to see if the house was ready for us and there was little to no effort to find out. I was told I would receive a call back to let me know and no one ever called. We ended up not getting into our house until the regular check-in time. Another issue we had was with the hot tub. I rented this house specifically for the hot tub and it never warmed up past 98*. We reported it to the reservation office and it took them 2 days to finally get it warm, which was too late because we were checking out the next morning. I would still use The Lookout and stay within this community again, but I would be more mindful of the lack of service I’ll receive or I would be a little more adamant with the staff.

Winter Wonderland

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had the most amazing after Christmas Vacation. This home perfectly accommodated the adults and kids in our group. We played games every day and night around the dining room table, found fantastic hills for sledding, and even braved the hot tub in the freezing temps. The view from every window in the house was breathtaking, and even tho this home is located in a bustling community, it still felt very private. The house was fully stocked with anything you could imagine you might need, and the house was immaculately clean. We definitely plan to be back for a future visit.

Although the main features (beds, appliances, towels, etc) were clean and ready the floors were filthy and looked as though they had not been swept or mopped in a while. We mopped ourselves and were pretty shocked how dirty the swiffer pads were. Hot tub may be running out of life as well, was at 99 and turned it up to 103 only to look over after about 15-20 minutes to see the temp at 96. Could've been user error on our part but I don't think so.

Underwhelming

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The layout of this house is great, especially for families with kids. We have stayed at the lookout in the past and were disappointed in the cleanliness of the house as well as with the furnishings/bedding. The floor was filthy- when I wiped up crumbs the paper towel was black. The pillows were the most uncomfortable pillows I've ever encountered, and the sheets did't fit on the bed properly. In comparison with other homes at the Lookout, this one seems to be furnished/equipped as a rental not as a home. We always have a nice time at the Lookout- pool, beach, friends, etc., but I wouldn't stay at this house again. It is way too expensive for what it is.

2nd year renting this house for our family vacation. We love it!

More then enough room for everyone to spread out, big table that we all were able to sit together at for our meals. Mornings and evenings on the porch were everyone's favorites. Close to the pool and the park for the little ones.We love everything about The Lookout. Already excited to think of our next family vacation.

Wonderful House With a Perfect Layout

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family came over to stay at Vintage '83 for a fall weekend in Lake Chelan. It was a wonderful place to stay for my whole family along with Grandma & Grandpa (who particularly enjoyed the master on the main floor). The house was great, had everything we needed along was a perfect layout for a few families. I'm so glad we were able to bring our dog, Rosco, along with us as well. Vintage '83 was awesome, I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone coming to Chelan.
