Le Breakaway est une belle maison bien entretenue qui appartient depuis plus de 18 ans aux mêmes propriétaires. Chaque année, il est mis à jour et maintenu dans un état impeccable. Il s'agit d'une très courte distance de marche de l'une des 21 meilleures plages du monde selon une étude récente de National Geographic.
Sunset Beach est une plage calme et familiale idéale pour les familles et les couples. Nous vous proposons quatre chambres et trois salles de bain avec douche extérieure. Notre véranda grillagée offre une vue sur l'océan ainsi que notre montre de veuve au troisième étage. Il y a un balcon privé au large de la chambre principale à l'étage. Récemment ajouté, un espace de verrouillage extérieur pour les vélos, les clubs de golf, les chaises de plage, etc.

Veuillez noter: Pendant les mois d'été, les draps, les serviettes, le savon et le shampoing NE sont PAS inclus car nous louons à la fois sur VRBO et via une société de location locale. Dans les mois hors saison, les draps et les serviettes sont inclus dans la location.

We had an amazing stay at the Breakaway with our friends. Perfect setup for our friend trip! Great island for a quiet relaxing week at the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, bright and easy walk to beach

We had a wonderful stay at The Breakaway! The house was clean, the kitchen well-stocked, there were plenty of bathrooms for folks to use plus an outside shower for rinsing sand off when coming back to beach. Even though linens/towels aren’t provided it wasn’t a big deal for us. It was a few minutes walk to the beach, market and shops. Lorelei was great to work with and very responsive and our family had a wonderful time:)

Great Family Vacation

We had another great stay at this property. It’s perfect for our family. Close to the beach and pier (easy walk) and the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and cookware etc. Love it is convenient to the convenience store and ice cream shop, too.

Very nice

The house was very clean and updated. It is within minutes walking distance to the beach and access to the beach was very easy. The rooftop deck and screened in porch were enjoyable. AC works very well. (We went during a very hot week) Also an added benefit, this beach is the quietest beach area I have ever stayed. Very peaceful and relaxing. Overall a very nice place and would highly recommend.

Great location!

Our family loves staying at this beach house! It is the perfect set-up for us! Everyone has their own room and bathroom, the living room is a large space for everyone to hang out in and it is not too far from the beach! The host has been great and has been an easy process! We thoroughly enjoy our week stay every summer and plan to come back!

Beautiful house close to the beach with a view

This beach house was perfect for us! We loved the floor plan and how well it was stocked. Everything was clean and welcoming. What we liked most was that it was convenient to the beach and pier. A short walk to both made it the perfect spot for us! We definitely recommend staying here and plan to rebook it again ourselves!

Loved our stay at this home. It worked well for our family (6 adults and 2 small children). Great location close to the beach and everything in Sunset Beach. The photos and description were accurate. Host was responsive. We already booked the house again for next year!

Another wonderful stay

We started staying at this house in 2019 after renting on 36th street for 30+ years. Our 6th stay was just as wonderful as the past 5. The house is perfect for a family with young kids, as it’s close to the beach and has ample space for all. The kitchen is fully stocked and boasted some nice updates since last summer. The owner is extremely communicative and very responsive to any questions or concerns (but we never have concerns). My boys refer to The Breakaway as our “Sunset Beach house” and it would be hard to stay anywhere else! Another week that we were all sad to see come to an end. Thank you, Lorelei!

Wonderful

This was our third year coming here. Wonderfully kept spacious house with plenty of room for our group of 3 adults and 4 kids. Our favorites are it is within walking distance to the beach and ice cream, and it has plenty of outdoor balcony space including a screened in balcony and a widows watch where you can see and hear the ocean from the house.

We had a wonderful stay at The Breakaway. The house was clean and decorated beautifully! The house had everything we needed for the week. The beach, fishing pier, and shops were just a short walk away. There were different community events such as craft fairs and live music on the fishing pier which you could hear from the screened porch. You will definitely enjoy yourself at The Breakaway!

Warm and Bright - fabulous stay!

This home is perfectly located with the beach up the street and shopping and restaurants easily accessible. The home itself is beautifully decorated and family friendly. All four bedrooms were lovely and inviting. The open floor plan on the main floor was cheery and fun. Lots of seating for eating or enjoying a movie or game on their large, mounted flat screen TV We found everything we needed for our stay and the owner was super helpful and available for questions. We hated to leave and would love to go back. We recommend it highly to anyone. It's a perfect place to share with family or friends and relax. This is an excellent vacation get away.

Awesome beach rental!

We loved the house- great open floor plan, 4 bed/3 bath worked great for our family, and the roof top balcony was wonderful! Really close walk to all the stores and the beach. Only minor negative- linens and towels aren’t included and that’s not obvious when looking at the page. There isn’t even hand soap in the bathrooms. It seems dishonest to me to not clearly state that linens aren’t included. I have never stayed anywhere that did this. My MIL told me to ask before we left so I did, but the owner never emailed me back. It cost an extra $80 to rent linens for the week from their service and we ordered just enough to get by with. I would rather have known ahead of time, I could have worked it into our budget. I don’t even own a queen bed so I certainly wouldn’t buy/bring all of that with us. Also, the lock box for the keys is in the worst place over some wooden slats and it’s really easy to drop, if we didn’t have the magnetic scope in my husband’s toolbox we would have been screwed.

We are Paul and Lorelei Milan and have owned The Breakaway for 23 years. Our now adult children learned to swim and ride bikes as children at SSB. Each year we upgrade the home as it is our home away from home. As avid golfers and travelers we try to get to Sunset Beach as much as possible. Over the past 23 years this home has become our family gathering place with multiple generations. The times we cannot be there we enjoy opening our home to fellow travelers and beach lovers. We hope your family makes lifetime memories here as we have done.

One of the top reasons we chose the Breakaway was the close proximity to the beach and other island amenities. We love the open floor plan and knew the upper decks and lower screened in porch would be a perfect place for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Unlike a lot of homes, we improve our property each year.
