The property was clean and had all the amenities I needed including cookware and access to laundry. I felt safe in the complex and would recommend this location for business travelers.
Great property other than a complete german roach infestation in the apartment. Bug bombed and sprayed raid consistently and the roaches would still come back. Took pictures and contacted the owner and he didnât contact me back, just sent maintenance.
This property looked great in photos. Unfortunately, when I arrived, it was a pretty run-down old apartment building.
The interior was actually nice, though, but as soon as I arrived I noticed there was a tremendous amount of bugsâcockroaches, everywhere, particularly in the kitchen. I called about it, and almost a week later someone came out to take a look. They bug bombed the unit and I had to leave for over four hours. When I got back, I continued to see bugs.
I would be sitting in the living room and I'd feel a cockroach crawling on my arm, and have to knock it off.
I decided to leave early, halfway through the trip, because of this, but the owner, Craig, would not refund any of my money. So I had to end up disputing the charge on my card. Craig said "This is New Orleans, apartments have bugs, and they won't hurt you if they get on you." This is completely unacceptable for a VRBO property.
Lastly, the apartment was pretty loud; the walls are paper thin and you can hear the neighbors, so if that bothers you, you might want to look elsewhere.
I would not recommend this property to anyone unless you really like cockroaches.
