Peaceful and relaxing

This is a great place to stay and relax. Close to town and restaurants but away from the noise. We will be back!

Quiet neighborhood

This house is very cozy and close to town. I can’t say enough about the hostess she is a wonderful person and I love to go back just a visit with her and spend some time.

Home away from home at crescent city haven

The rental had all the comforts of home. Metrell the property owner makes your stay amazing. We enjoyed an evening eating crawfish and visiting. She had supper and sparkling juice in the fridge upon our arrival. We will definitely come back.!! Everyone should experience this rental!!!

This is in a good location for seeing the sights of New Orleans. We left some property when we departed the owner was extremely helpful. She notified us, and express shipped it to us. This owner goes above and beyond for her tenants.

Awesome visit to NOLA.

MeTrell was awesome and so was the place. Quiet area, close enough to what we needed, but far enough away to not feel like we were in the Big Easy, except for when we wanted to be. Every thing we needed was right where we needed it. You can make Belgian waffles if inclined. If you don’t know how, she can show you!!!!!!! We look forward to staying with her again!!!

They were great they taught me how to use my waffle iron the were the first to use it . They shared one with me& I shared my Mr T sausage & taught them how to eat crawfish.. I love to share with sharing people ..they even call me to check on me

Mrs. Metrell is AMAZING!

when we pulled up, she just happened to be stepping outside of her part of the house and greeted my daughter and i with a HUGE hug and kiss on the cheek!! She even got little gifts for my daughter and I, and had them sitting out on our beds. She gave us a tour of the house and it was beautiful. This is the place you want to stay when you are visiting NOLA. it's close enough that you can get an Uber to and from, yet far enough that it's quiet and peaceful. We were able to relax and enjoy our stay after spending a full day in the French Quarter. I know that I will be using this property again when we come back in a few months!!

The PERFECT Getaway

Metrell was the perfect hostess! Every detail was attended to - from special Nola coffee, to a fresh rose to welcome us. We communicated several times leading up to our stay, and each time we got to know a little more about the wonderful lady who was our host! She left messages of congratulations for our daughter's wedding and suggestions for great places to eat or visit. Every single suggestion was exactly as she described it and precisely what we were looking for, including places to eat, where to shop, and even where to find extra towels in the house! "Open the cupboards and find what you need, or if you don't see it, let me know and I'll tell you where it is or get it for you." We have never been so blessed when visiting a new city, and Metrell put us at ease immediately. After an incredibly rainy day, we trudged back from wedding details, and she stopped in and gave us freshly cooked shrimp, "Because I knew y'all would need a pick-me-up!" The house afforded us the privacy and quiet we needed after sight-seeing or wedding prep - ample room for all of us, two bathrooms, a quiet street and a lovely back porch area to enjoy seafood and conversation. The beds were extremely comfortable and every amenity was thought of, in case we forgot something. And every room had Metrell's special touch - a little taste of New Orleans - from beautiful paintings, to the fleur di lis, to the beautiful wine glasses. What a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere!.Even our oldest son, who doesn't say much about his surroundings when we travel, was totally smitten - he wants to move there! This family & I connected from our communication before the arrival. I feel in love @ first sight & during they stay we dating & I got married to this family & we made vows to be family..just like they LOVELY DAUGHTER . She got married & so did we I am looking forward to seeing them regularly. They bought me a gift which was the FIRST. . This family won my HEART & WE ARE FAMILY for LIFE . Clean, cute and quaint

Metrell is very attentive, but not intrusive. She genuinely wants you to be happy. She added her own special touches to make our visit special. The apartment was clean and had everything you needed, if there was something you forgot, Metrell was sure to come up with it for you. Overall great stay, my only comment would be that the ferry is unreliable as of the writing of this post, hopefully it will be updated and hours and times more consistent in the future, but that is not something the owner can control. That being said Uber/Lift is very reasonable, we used it everyday and the rides only cost between $9-14 depending on time of day and how busy it was or wasn't.

Little bit mislead

Very nice. Owner very friendly. We were just disappointed with the pictures. Meaning pictures were misleading and or missing pictures that should be shown. Over all we enjoyed the stay. Owner was seen only seen one time. I did message her about roof leaks the day it rained. She did reply. The pictures on this listing need to be updated. Furniture needs to be added to the den to at least accommodate 4-6 people. Can not sit as a family or a group in any room. The two bedrooms that have actual beds have no tv. The sleeper sofa room does have a tiny tv. The sinks in the bathrooms are to small to even brush your teeth. Pictures for this listing should be updated because they’re old.

This an older model home and the bathrooms are small and the owner had to select sinks that would replace the old ones in size.. The roof was not leaking it was the underneath the kitchen sink. which was repaired. The site indicates no tv in the bedrooms. I love reviews noted I will update the pictures of the living room and family seating for four and there is a outside picnic table that seats for morning coffee and KING & QUEEN CHAIR in the living room. Sofa is in the family room. I will welcome them back anytime.

Awesome!

The owner is the sweetest lady ever! She made my birthday extra special with gifts and notes :) She gave us information on how to navigate New Orleans. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen had a lot of extras. We will definitely stay here again when in New Orleans!

Me-trell is the sweetest lady ever!!!

During our week stay, Me-trell was always so helpful, from assisting with rides, to giving us great suggestions, to making necessary arrangements for car rental. Me-trell is a dynamic lady with a heart of golf! I would recommend this place to anyone at any time!

This is my twin sister from another mother however her family is so enjoyable to be around ..I enjoyed our SPIRITUAL CONNECTION ...WE shared food & outing together I wish she could have stayed longer I really enjoyed the FELLOWSHIP with ALL PARTIES & Ms ANN & & MAT were great to be Around ...we went shopping wick was GREAT ..MY doors will be open to them whenever they come to New Orleans & my space is available or we will work around our schedules....c u soon 😀

New Orleans Get-Away

From the moment I selected the property, Metrell was so helpful! She asked questions to get to know us and our reason for coming! She even had wine, roses and gifts for us as well! She met us when we arrived and made us feel completely at home! She gave us suggestions of places to visit and eat! We were able to meet her family as well as they are neighbors and they were just as warm and welcoming as she was! I would recommend staying at this property to be in a great location with easy access to everywhere! She even had a driver that she uses to go places and we were able to use him for trips to the French Market and the Superdome and he was amazing!! Metrell is a wonderful person and I would recommend her home to anyone going to New Orleans!

Essence Fest Weekend

Excellent stay, the house is small and quaint but perfect for a little getaway! The host was very pleasant and helpful I will definitely rent from her again!

I really enjoyed the ladies I hope they come back I would to hangout with them ..they left the house spotless & in place I would. WELCOME them whenever they are in new Orleans ORLEANS

Staying in NOLA

The house was just as expected and even though the pull out was in the Den it was still very private for the family that used it. Metrell was very accommodating. We could walk to the ferry to see the sites in New Orleans.
