Great location! Quick and easy walk to the beach. House has plenty of room and has lots of extra amenities which they provided. House was really clean. Great place to stay.
The home was incredibly clean and well-maintained, with clear and friendly instructions for both check-in and check-out that made the process seamless. The space was perfect for our groupâspacious, quiet, with a large kitchen fully stocked with utensils that made group meals easy and fun. One of the highlights was the beautiful outdoor campfire area, where we spent evenings under the stars. We enjoyed peaceful nature walks and even spotted a few deer during our stay. The location was idealâjust a short walk to the lake, yet private enough to feel like a true retreat.
Our large group (three families) fit well in the home and had everything we needed. The fire pit is amazing, and the beach was quiet and perfect. We had a great time.
The house was perfect size for our family. The distance to the lake was very easy. It was great to just sit on the deck and play games with family. Watch the deer, listen to the birds and enjoy the country quiet
This was our second stay in this great house. It was even better than the first. The owners are easy to communicate with. The beds are comfortable, the place was clean and organized. The outside fire pit is a great place to end the day with drinks, snacks and good friends. Next time we are in the area we will definitely stay there again. Thank you Louis and Tibor for being great hosts.
Chuck.
BEAUTIFUL HOME!!! Nicely spacious, very clean, plenty of comfortable beds. Close to the beach and still plenty of privacy while back at the house. Everything you need just replace what you use. Communication with the owners was wonderful, any questions got a very quick response. My family and I WILL go again!!!
The house in general was great. It was clean and had really 5 big bedrooms which fit like 10 people.
There was no AC and the heat was unbearable so much so my mother got ill, we had two guests leave early to Jess back to Boston and the rest of us at times would go into the car with the AC ok to get relief. The washing machine broke so we could wash any clothes or towels. The fridge never really worked. It kept stuff chilled not cold. Ice couldnât freeze, ice cream went bad and milk never really got cold. Wouldnât stay again but very nice people.
Overall we thought the setup you have has a lot of potential but there are some items worth mention. Firstly, and this is no surprise Iâm sure, the place is hot and humid. For some reason itâs very hard indeed to get a through draft in the property. In some cases with all windows open the house was a good 10 degrees warmer than the outside. Itâs hard, even with the fans, to get the outside air in. the house can be oppressively warm in the day, and with the moistness of air in the woods itâs very humid too. If it had not been cool in the evenings (down in the 70âs) we would have had horrendous nights. As it was they were still âSticky and warmâ but tolerable.
Additionally, as cute and vintage as the fridge is (it goes nicely with the oven), we experienced the same issue experienced by your last reviewers, and frankly itâs odd to me that you wouldnât fix the issue with a replacement fridge. A basic one like the one you have is less than $500 and would probably save you a few hundred on electric bills. I appreciate the iced down cooler solution, but you might want to look to the long term on that too.
Finally - for me personally - the king bed in the upstairs room (with the en suite) is one of the wobbliest beds Iâve slept on in years. I would suggest some sturdier rails to hold the headboard still, or better - attach the headboard to the wall and let the bed free-stand. Every slight movement in the bed is exaggerated by the rocking of the headboard and transmitted to the other person. We woke each other up all night long.
It was a three star experience which would easily be four or five-star without these challenges
You equipped the place nicely - the towels and fire pit were a nice touch, and the place is huge! Great for large families and groups. The swimming spot at the beach a short walk or drive away was really nice. The water was crystal clear and warm.
Communication from you was excellent too. Thanks for being so available and responsive.
We all had a great week up in Moultonborough........The accommodations, location, proximity to the beach and of course Jo Jo's were first rate......will definitely want to book a week next year.
Thanks again,
This property was perfect for a long weekend at the lake with friends! The deck, fire pit and outdoor space offered lots of room to play yard games and enjoy our nights outside. The house had more than enough space for our group and is very well kept. The hosts were great, very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. Would definitely book with them again!
We enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious and clean. The deck was great to sit outside with family and enjoy the peace and tranquility.
Nice walk to the beach. Great area to stay!
We had a great time. The house is as advertised. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need. Quiet rural neighborhood. We would definitely go back. Hosts were great.
75th birthday celebration with children, grandchildren
The location was wonderful, large lot with firepit Short walk to the town beach and a parking pass was provided. The house was clean with 2 refrigerators. The carpets could be cleaned but otherwise was a wonderful space.
I rented the house so we could spend some time with our kids and our grandchildren. We all live pretty far from each other. We had a wonderful time so close to the lake. It was a great jumping off point for day trips to Vermont,Maine and Boston as well.
We had a great stay here for a week. The house is very spacious and clean.. We had 6 guests plus a dog. Lots of us were working remote throughout the week and we all had our own space to work plus the wifi was great! The location is walking distance to the beach/boat ramp and if you have a boat trailer there is ample parking at the house. One small downside was the quilts in some of the bedrooms were not the most comfortable. There were also small sugar ants in the kitchen (which are pretty unavoidable in lake houses so it wasn't surprising to us) but we kept food wrapped up tight and then they weren't bothersome. I would recommend this location and would definitely stay again!
Tibor and Lewis were wonderful hosts. Everything was very clean and ready for our check in. Fantastic communication as well.
The property was very large and set back in a nice neighborhood within walking distance of the Lake. Highly recommend
Our family has personally owned and used this house for 22 years now. With the kids graduated from college and moved away to start their careers, the house doesn't get filled up as much as it used to. We welcome you, with your family and friends, to enjoy the great quality time that we've been fortunate enough to enjoy all these years!
Private setting at the end of a quiet street. An easy walk to the Long Island Beach (also has parking). 0.5 miles from a FREE boat launch ramp. Tons of outdoor space for lounging and play. Plenty of indoor space for large groups to enjoy a comfortable stay
