We were in the area for a food show. House was clean and accommodated our group. The owners were very welcome to communication and help through our trip.

Total disappointment.

Do not let the nice pictures of the kitchen and reasonable price fool you: this home is not ever worth renting. Clarifications: There is one queen bed, two full beds, and one set of twin bunk beds. The couch does not fold out. One bathroom is fully en-suite, one is partially en-suite and one upstairs. The garage is off-limits. The location is convenient to the OC airport, but not much else. Deficiencies: 1. When we entered, we removed our shoes and within minutes had black feet and/or socks. Not clean at all. 2. The sliding doors to the pool are barely functional and difficult to come and go. 3. The kitchen is stocked, but very haphazardly. Items are not easy to find and not properly put away. Very jumbled and messy. The dishwasher was full of clean dishes when we came in. Who wants to put away dishes on vacation? 4. NO SHEETS!? All the beds had a fitted sheet over the mattress and then a thin comforter. There were no extra sheets to use. There were extra pillowcases, but no extra pillows. Only "one" blanket in the closet. It makes the sofa unusable as a bed and incredibly unsanitary for repeat renters. Prior to check-in, communication was good. But we were never given any instructions for check-in, information about the property, or check-out. We had to ask for the wifi code. Very inconvenient. We first noted the sheet issue near midnight when we all went to bed - too late to bother the owner. The next morning, when we voiced concerns about the sheets, we waited several hours for a response. Many of our guests were compelled to make other plans . The excuse given was that the house cleaner laundered the comforters "this time" making clean sheets unnecessary - we think that is an absurd excuse. By time there was an offer to bring over some bedding, many of our party chose to leave for a hotel. We were offered no restitution. A horrible experience. There are better options in orange county.

Costa Mesa Home

Honestly we enjoyed our stay at the home. Michelle was extremely easy to work with and always responded immediately to any questions. The home has a nice, open floor plan. The bedrooms are huge! The ac works great! The pool was cleaned twice a week and heated very quickly. The neighborhood is quiet. My only complaint is that upon check in the house was not clean. My kids feet turned black five minutes after walking around. The bathrooms hadn’t been deep cleaned in a long time. For some reason the sheets in the beds had sand all in them. The baseboards and ceiling fans had a huge layer of dirt. We are a local family displaced by water damage. So we ended up having our house cleaner come the following day and do a deep cleaning with me. Honestly with a better housekeeper I think these issues could be totally fixed because the house really was great!

Great location! Enough space for family reunion or large group

We really enjoyed our time at this rental and the heated pool and hot tub were a huge hit. We had some issues but Michelle responded quickly and things got resolved. Don’t let the not perfect rating sway you...you will like this place and we will for sure be repeated guests.

Perfect home for large group & small kids

We rented this house for 2 weeks in October and loved every minute. The house is large with plenty of space. The pool and hot tub are an amazing feature, the kids literally never left it. The heated pool was a massive bonus as we were able to be in it late in the evening, after the sun went down. Really nice and quiet neighborhood. Close to many of the main attractions in Orange County including the beach cities like Huntington and Newport. The owner was great to deal with anything we needed she provided without any hassle. Communication with Michelle was great. She was super polite. Would highly recommend this home and i am pretty sure we will be back again.

Great place to stay!

Our family had a great time. The house was amazing, had a pool and was close to many attractions including a short ride to Anaheim. Thanks for the accommodations! We'd definitely come back :)

Great location but some major issues

For someone who travels and stays in property rentals often, this was definitely not the best experience. Upon arrival, we noticed that there was not enough room to fit 6 cars on the driveway, as a giant RV camper was taking up 2/3 of the driveway. We contacted the host who had advertised that there would be enough room for 6 spots at her property. She told us that you could fit 4 cars on the driveway and 2 on the street in front of the house. However, there were city code signs in the neighborhood stating that cars without permits would be fined $100. We asked if she had permits for us, she replied no but that no one ever had a problem. We asked if we would be reimbursed if we got a violation ticket. Again, she replied no. We proceeded to go into the house to find trash bagged outside by the pool not inside trashcans, pool floaties and toys just laying aimlessly around on the concrete, and one of the giant pool umbrellas sunken into the pool. She sent someone to help fix that situation in a timely manner, but things went downhill from there on out. The lack of tidying outdoors and the parking situation were minor things. We could deal with that. As the first night went on, the house was not getting hot water. When we reached out to the host, she told us we couldn’t run the hot tub and the showers at the same time, but we didn’t even use the hot tub yet. Long story short, she instructed us to reset the water heater. We then saw, attached to the water heater, safety signs about the valves. The water heater had to get reset multiple times, just to get a little bit of hot water. Lastly, one of the beds in the room was broken. Upon sleeping on it, it felt off and slanted so we removed the mattress off the frame to find that the wood slats were broken. The host apologized but didn’t offer to do anything about this situation. The host also did not check in to see how things were going. When we tried to contact her, she was not super responsive (it took 12 hours for her to respond to the bed issue!), and on top of that, every time we called her she would not pick up and we would be sent to voicemail but her inbox was full so we couldn’t leave a message. Everything with the water heater also felt like a huge safety concern...we're dealing with gas here! The property was nice on the outside to the visible eye. But it was the underlying issues that were safety related and the general lack of communication that really made this experience awful.

Had the best time!

This place was so cute and nice great location too! Check in was really easy and Michelle was really easy to contact with any questions. The internet was a little slow in the far back room but that’s like any other house I feel like! If you have a bigger group looking to relax this place is perfect

Great area but house had issues

We arrived at the house with a door code that did not work. It was incorrect on the access page. It was a spacious home in a great location. However, you could not use the pool heat and take a hot shower at the same time. The pool heater would trip the circuit the on demand water heater was on. This was frustrating for 8 ladies trying to get ready. The house advertises as sleeping 8 but only had 6 bath towels hanging in the 3 bathrooms. Luckily we found 2 extra towels in the laundry room. The main bath shower has no pressure. The water just sort of falls out of the shower head. Don’t try rinsing shampoo out, it’ll take way too long and it was cold anyway. The upstairs bedroom lights did not work. And when we told the owner, it was never addressed. The inside was pretty clean upon first sight but if you opened a kitchen drawer we found a mess. The back pool area was quite messy. Weeds growing through the cracks and down the side of the house and a screen door was left propped up against the house.

Michelle is terrific

We locked ourselves out of the house the first night going out to dinner. Michelle was at the house in 20 minutes to help us. House is large, very large open kitchen, large dining room and the bedrooms are very large. 3 bathrooms are newly updated. Pool is a wonderful feature which we enjoyed. A very comfortable and pleasant stay for all the family.

Very clean and in a great location

My family and I stayed at this house for the second time and it was great for both a large group and the fact that we have children of all ages. The house has a lot of kitchen amenities like coffee maker, non-stick pans and pots, large fridge and freezer, etc. The hot tub was also a great addition since our last stay. The neighborhood is quiet and overall just the perfect place to relax.

Great roomy home and good location!

We stayed here with a group of family members. The home was clean and sleeping accommodations were good. The kitchen and dining area is perfect for a large group. Michelle was very responsive to our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Place!

Michelle was responsive throughout the entire booking and was quick to reply. The house is really close to the beach and Disneyland was about 25 minutes away. We didn't have much time to use the pool but it was nice relaxing on the lounge chairs next to the pool. The house was modern, clean and had a ton of places to sit. There were 2 pillows per person which was a bonus and the towels were very nice!

Loved it!

Michelle was super friendly and communicated well before and during the stay. We had a great time in the pool and our favorite part was the giant, beautiful kitchen. The place was so spacious and clean throughout the entire house.

A quaint home with all you need that is close to everything

Our team flew in from all over the world. Michelle provided space for early check-in and was accommodating for an appropriate fee when this occurred. The home is clean, well thought out, and very comfortable. On top of all of this, it is one of the most affordable VRBO's in the area. You get amazing value for money. We would stay here again.

Pretty good, just missing a few things

We happened to book our trip during a heat wave and the temps were so high that it was very hot inside the house without AC, aside from the one room that had a wall unit. The house was very roomy and spacious and it would be nice to provide more beds. 2 beds could easily fit in each room, and there was only one. One room only had a futon which was very small and not very comfortable. A couple of the rooms didn’t have blinds, and the heat of the sun coming in in the morning was very warm, also the the lack of privacy. A few more dishes and towels would also be nice. Otherwise, beautifully decorated, clean, we enjoyed cooling off in the pool. We enjoyed biking to the beach.

This place offers a privacy unlike most houses. The backyard is completely private in that all neighboring windows face away from the house. The driveway and ample space on the street allow for 6 large cars to park everyday without hassle. The newly renovated house and pool are so inviting that you can't help but want to spend every minute at home.
