Belle maison de 3 chambres au rez-de-chaussée avec un grand espace de loisirs en plein air dans un gigantesque chêne! Cette maison spéciale est un endroit idéal pour une escapade unique, un groupe familial ou pour des groupes de travail de consolidation d'équipe. Beaucoup d'espace pour profiter de la terrasse extérieure, du foyer, des aires de pique-nique ainsi que de l'immense cabane dans les arbres. Le plan d'étage ouvert a une zone centrale pour vivre, manger et cuisiner. TV grand écran avec Hulu et Netflix et une dizaine de chaînes locales. Internet super rapide.

Les trois chambres confortables offrent une grande intimité et disposent de draps haut de gamme et d'un mélange d'antiquités et de mobilier contemporain.

We really enjoyed our time in the Treehouse guest house. The host was extremely responsive, very welcoming, highly recommend. The house was well situated for our needs. JaNa’s group was exceptional! The are a dedicated group of women who use their dogs in helping law enforcement find bodies in rural areas. They stayed with us so that they could use our shady back yard to train to dogs with commands. The dogs and the ladies are all very special! Paz

Great location, and space to relax

A gem in a pretty ordinary-looking area. Pass the small industrial shops, and turn into a nice, secluded rest stop. Lots of imagination put into the structure, both inside and out. Many options to spread out and enjoy company. We gathered for a university graduation, and we’re able to have the whole gang (12 ) over to relax in the yard and deck.

This was the most adorable place I’ve ever stayed! The outdoor area, with fire pit, treehouse, lights, was nothing short of spectacular. It was perfect for our family to relax and visit! Eclectic Escape

We really enjoyed the uniqueness of this property. From the large, fun treehouse and disc golf cage, to the eclectic touches in the house, this property is fun and cozy. We stayed on property for 4 weeks and it really felt like home away from home. The property owners are nearby and very responsive to request or questions. It is also conveniently located to many areas of the Lafayette. A jewel of an experience!!

Amazing

What a great place to stay. My husband myself and our two teenage daughters a long with our friends and their two young children came from Canada to Louisiana for a week and this place was exactly what we were looking for. The yard is all fenced in with lots of privacy and backyard games to play, super cute at night with all the lights in the yard on . The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the house it has a nice cozy feel and had plenty of room to accommodate our 2 family’s . Thanks so much for having us stay in your home :)

John stayed with us for two months while he worked in south Louisiana following the two hurricanes. He stayed at both the Treehouse Guesthouse and the Birdhouse guesthouse. At one point, he cancelled the Treehouse Reservation in order to move to the Birdhouse so that he could have an un-interrupted stay because other guests were scheduled to occupy the Treehouse for 4 days. VRBO sent him a refund of $507. I audited his payments and confirmed that his payments were accurate. I believe he wrote this review before he saw the reconciliation record. At no time were there other guests in the guesthouse during his reservation period. He wanted to extend his stay for one final night, but other guests were scheduled to arrive and I could not accommodate him for a final night that he wanted. He was a great guest, and I recognize that he worked very hard during his time in Lafayette.

The good and bad of it

First the good: The house has been remodel and overall feels modern. Tankless water heater provided enough hot water for all to shower. Communications with host was prompt. Tons of seating areas around the property. Loved that all the rooms had ceiling fans. The bad: Even though the treehouse was the reason I rented this unit, was very uncomfortable with the children up there. There are several areas where safety was a big risk; screens were not secured or popped out completely, missing rail replaced with a loose strap, areas needing more rails to prevent falls. Needs much work in order to comply with any safety inspection, if there is such a thing with VRBO. Also, too many personal items (ladder, old wood, saw blade, etc) were scattered throughout the property outdoors, giving it a shabby look.

Ida, thanks for giving us a detailed review of your visit to The Treehouse Guesthouse. First---thanks for the compliments related to the comfort and amenities of our home. We also really appreciate your detailed description of items needing attention in the Treehouse. We have just completed seasonal repairs in the Treehouse. Our spring/summer maintenance was completed at the end of May so you came just prior to the scheduled time. My staff has completed safety upgrades and repairs and we have replanted spring/ summer gardens and replaced hammocks, etc Our house rules require that adults do a walk through of the area when they first arrive to let us know if they see anything that we need to tend to right away. I wish you would have called us with your concerns, because, as you noted, we are premier hosts and we are prompt to respond. Of course, as noted in our house rules, children are not allowed to go up to the Treehouse without an accompanying adult. Supervision is needed! Iris a perfect place for adults and children to escape together to play games, tell stories, have a picnic, read, etc. it is not set up for active play . Awesome outdoor space and treehouse!!!

The treehouse guesthouse was perfect for our family. The outdoor space was awesome, we spent most of our time in the treehouse due to the weather raining almost the entire time but we made the best out it. We never felt crowded in the house or the bathrooms. We plan to stay here again next time we come to town.

Awesome, eclectic stay!

This is a fun place! The backyard hangout was the highlight for us. We had fun with the disc golf basket and treehouse. Had everything we needed for amenities for our group of 8. There was a minor issue with the heat that the host addressed immediately. The only issue was that the oven makes the whole place smell like gas when using it. They said it was normal, but it most definitely is not. We also would have preferred to only have to communicate with the host vs the host, her son, and the HVAC tech. Not a big deal, but the preference would have been to just let ourselves in and have one point of contact.

very charming and relaxing

actually, felt like we were on a vacation not just someone's home. the home has bed bath on one side and 2 bedrooms /bath on the other side separated by the common area. gave my husband and I privacy. The outdoor space is amazing, very relaxing spent a lot of time out there. Will definitely rreschedule next time we are in Lafayette.

This vacation rental is one of a kind! This home belongs to Harvey and he has created a magical outdoor experience to delight guests. Enjoy the outside amenities and then come into a very comfortable and private home to rest and retreat. The deck is accessed from the kitchen and it expands the dining and seating areas. The area is fenced and allows for privacy and has special effects lighting.

Harvey maintains an owner's apartment at the rear of the property. It has a separate entry from the main house, He sometimes stays there or it may occasionally be occupied by a staff person or Mom Paz.

Our location is less than 7 minutes to downtown Lafayette, Interstate 10 and Interstate 49, Cajun Field, the Cajundome and the University---and yet you will feel you are in the country at your own private retreat.
