My husband and our two girls (ages 2 yrs and 3 months) came in to visit family. Hotels are just too tough now with both girls so I wanted something with two bedrooms and this place couldn't have been more perfect! It was very clean and had everything we needed. It was well located close to the highway as well as downtown Scott.
The house is small but neat and clean, the radio was even playing local KBON radio when we arrived. It is in an industrial area but was quiet, there is a Civic Center next door that had a couple of events, but they ended early and did not make excessive noise. The house had everything that we needed to be comfortable and was well decorated.
The neighborhood is really nice and had everything that we needed close by. Good restaurants, nice ice cream/candy shop and NuNu's grocery just down a block. I picked up some great store made sausage that I can't wait to cook.
We would gladly stay there again.
This is a great place to stay, we enjoyed our week here very much. We were very comfortable in the house, good beds and seating, good cooling too. We look for single floor places as one of us has reduced mobility. The Clet Dugas house is near restaurants (Uncle Tâs was good for Crawfish and Oysters!), Cajun Boudin suppliers and supermarkets and close to the i10 interstate making it an excellent central base for exploring Cajun country. From Scott we visited Mamou and Eunice for a Saturday filled with Cajun music, we visited the Jungle gardens on Avery Island and really liked the town of New Iberia nearby. A particular recommendation for a Louisiana Swamp Tour goes to Champagne's Swamp Tours based on Lake Martin south of Beau Bridge. They enabled all of us to enjoy a memorable two hour swamp and lake cruise, spectacular scenery, amazing colors and lots of wildlife to see. I strongly recommend this house and give thanks to Paula, our host.
My wife enjoyed the new recliners. It worked out great for us while visiting family. We felt safe, since itâs right across from the police station. Good access to stores and interstate.
We enjoyed our stay in Lafayette, we had to evacuate from the power outage cause by Hurricane Beryl and fortunately my corporate office is in Lafayette so we were able to grab my 85 year old mother in law and het her to safety. This was the perfect spot for us to relax after a stressful storm.
It was the perfect house for me and my son coming into town for a full weekend of tournament ball. Super cozy, easy access, and prompt messages from owner.
This was such a cute little house to spend our nights while we visited with family during the day. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It's next door to an event center but was not noisy. Hope to stay there again.
We, Marty and Paula, are residential home builders and real estate owners. We love to travel and spend time with our grandchildren at the Baseball Parks on the weekends.
This quaint 2 bedroom offers privacy as well as being close to all Scott has to offer. Whether you are traveling for sports, Scott has a youth baseball park, or for work; when you return from your daily activities , you can relax under the shady trees and enjoy the great outdoors.
