We were very happy with this rental and would definitely stay here again. Everything was clean and in great working order. The beds were comfortable and there were many nice touches, like snacks left for us, keyless entry, luxurious bath towels, etc. It is down the street from a very busy street but noise was not a problem. Our only small quibble is the throw blankets generate a lot of lint that gets on your clothes, which was annoying. I recommend replacing those.
My sister and I rented this property while attending a four day event at the George Brown Convention Center. It was an easy 10 min drive to the convention center all on surface streets. The house is a cute updated bungalow in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. We felt very safe there. The house has everything you need including two coffee makers, one Keurig and one for ground coffee. There were plenty of coffee pods provided that I didn't need to buy any. The kitchen is well equipped although I didn't do much cooking there. A nice added touch was a Britta filter water pitcher in the fridge. I usually buy bottled water when I travel and with the filtered water, I didn't need to. The bathrooms were supplied with soap, shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer, and make up remover. The only thing I would change in the house is the L shaped sofa. The backs are not attached but sit on top of the sofa which slide a little when you are leaning on them trying to watch TV. It wasn't bad, but maybe something to consider next time you purchase a new couch for the home.
Very neat house that was completely as advertised in the heart of the Montrose area of Houston. The kitchen was well appointed and had a nice small yard (but please check with the owner if you want to bring a dog). If you are not from the Houston area, this is a great house to explore the greater Houston area. If you are from the inner city Houston area and need a place to get away, it was excellent to get away. My husband and I needed a place to escape to while our house was under renovations. It is a little noisy, but overall a great place to stay. Lovely bungalow in the Montrose area.
Great inside the loop location, close to restaurants and shopping as well as downtown.
Exactly as described. Comfortable beds and safe parking for vehicle(s). Very well-stocked. The only thought would be to add a full-length mirror somewhere in property.
Excellent location, space, and very clean. Next to a slightly loud street but it doesn't reach the bedrooms. Owners were very responsive and accommodating. At the price ($200-$250 a night) I would expect no less. It's almost at a price that contests with the fancy boutique hotels in the area. At the current price, this place wins my vote. If it gets any more expensive, it becomes a much harder sell.
The property is well maintained, and we are repeat customers. We really appreciate the responsiveness of the hosts, and the location is walkable to many great restaurants and shops.
My partner and I had a great stay and loved the fact that we were within 2 miles of basically anything that we wanted to do in the downtown area, plus a ton of great restaurant options within walking distance.
The property was exactly as advertised, really nice open floor plan, quiet reading room, nice kitchen that we used for all breakfasts and a dinner.
We stayed with friends from South Africa and picked the house for it's location. The house was comfortable and it was located in a great location. The Cooking Girl restaurant was perfect and easy to use.
All was well until our first morning when we saw something scuttle across the floor. My spouse stepped on it and when we looked it was a cockroach. We immediately alerted the owner who promptly responded and just said "sorry." We moved out immediately and I requested a refund for all nights except of the first. The owner sent me to VRBO who told me I had to deal with the owner. When I threated to take action, she charged me for 2 nights instead of one and then stopped responding to me. I would not recommend this place unfortunately.
Nicely remodeled house in central location, great part of town. Kitchen and bathrooms were excellent and well stocked. Comfortable beds. Fold out bed was not as pictured and not as comfortable. Hardwood floors creaked and popped loudly.
Overall good space for a family.
Two adult couples stayed here for 4 days. The house was even better than the photos and squeaky clean! There was a great coffee shop (Canary Inc.) next door and a very tasty Chinese place (Cooking Girl) right across the street. The location was on a quiet street and also close the the Museum District.
We'll definitely stay here again.
We all enjoyed the bungalow! Plenty of open living space - a well stocked kitchen with coffee makers including some K cups. Great central location. Short drive or Uber to anywhere.
This house is beautiful and location is close to everything you want to visit in Houston. The Asian restaurant literally next door, across the street was awesome. I will definitely be renting this property again.
We had a wonderful stay at this house. It was exceptionally clean and very convenient to all our family wedding activities! I highly recommend this house for it's walkable neighborhood too, there were several wonderful restaurants nearby.
The only room for improvement would be a more comfortable, structurally sound couch for the living room. This would be an easy fix and make this house much more comfortable. Other than the couch, this house was perfect :-) Thank you!
