Our stay was fabulous, the accommodation was truly 5 star and very clean and tidy, a true architectural masterpiece in the heart of Lourmarin with garage parking and a swimming pool in a walled garden - unheard of in the heart of this village and literally 150 metres from the main village street and restaurants.
A beautiful and peaceful location great for couples or families who want a tranquil stay.
This place was simply amazing. Super quiet and secluded yet in the heart of the village. Kitchen had everything, including espresso/tea which was amazing to find in the morning after arriving late the night before. Wood burning fireplace (with wood supply provided) was spectacular for cuddling up, listening to music, and enjoying the perfectly lighted/landscaped garden through the floor to ceiling windows. The market on Friday was AMAZING and a must see if youâre in town. The only thing I could even think of to suggest would be for there to be a bike air pump for the tires on the two bikes, would have been awesome to go for a cruise although the location is so perfect everything is easily managed on foot.
Two couples travelling together - one couple had single beds - beds are low to ground like photos so not for older less agile people. The ammenities in the house were great - no inside dining table but a smaller type bar table in kitchen - would be issue if weather for outside not great. Location was fantastic just at end of the small street Is the main village - very easy to walk around and experience the beautiful place Lourmarin is. Very easy to find and get keys. Loved our stay here and would recommend this place if visiting Lourmarin
Great location in a beautiful village we have visited often. The house however is disappointing. Online pictures used to advertise it are outdated and inaccurate. The floor is peeling and needs attention and was not clean in places. The windows facing the pool were filthy. There was no working aircon and just two fans in the upstairs bedrooms. There were two broken fans in the garage which were inoperable - really not good when it is 30c inside. The man who gave us the keys told us to keep the window s open instead and when asked about the difference between advertising pictures and reality said we should never believe adverts. The pool is also significantly smaller than it appears online and there are just 2 deck chairs. The sofa is a camp bed with a cotton throw draped over and the master bed is a mattress on wheels. We are not a complaining family but feel it is only fair to let others know before booking. I feel we have been misled and would expect some kind of remedial refund given the discrepancy between the advert and reality.
The house is beautiful! Very bright, spacious, functional. A wonderful swimming pool and a charming garden ... and all this in the very center of one of the most beautiful towns of Provence - Lourmarin.
There is a great bakery around the corner, and a few steps away the heart of Lourmarin with galleries, shops and restaurants.
However, the street where the house is located is very quiet and peaceful, you can only hear the "symphony" of cicadas in the garden
This wonderful house, just a stone's throw from the village centre, is the perfect base for a holiday in Provence. That said, it was also so fabulous that we didn't really want to leave it at all! Usually when we stay in Lourmarin we end up going on lots of day trips, but this charming house is so perfect that we ended up making excuse after excuse as to why we should just spend 'one more day' relaxing, and so our big excursion each day was either to the bakery (one minute away) or the ice-cream shop (two minutes away!). Step out of your ground-floor bedroom - there are other bedrooms upstairs, but the ground-floor is the coolest and we were on our own - and you're at the pool, which is the perfect way to cool down on a hot Provence day. Under the olive tree, there's a table which is perfect to eat a meal at regardless of the time of day and inside there's a well-stocked kitchen which is lovely to cook in, a large fridge/freezer, a washing machine, oven and hob. Every single detail has been thought about by the hosts, who are incredibly friendly, helpful and easy to reach. All you need to provide is your own croissants! Despite being so close to the village centre, the house is completely private - the garden is walled, it feels as if you are in the middle of the countryside yet you are next door to absolutely everything you need. We have been to Lourmarin many times and love everything about it, including, now this property. The decor is minimalist and beautiful, the house is airy and spotlessly clean, the pool is just the right size and depth...I really can't praise the house and the hosts enough. We are already looking at dates for next year and hoping the house will be free for a return visit. Thank you so much for an amazing, relaxing, luxurious stay - it was exactly what we needed and we hope to see you again soon! Richard and Stacia X
Beautiful house just a 3 minute walk from Lourmarin restaurants
The house was open plan and really lovely. The kitchen is fitted with everything you need. It has 3 bedrooms, each with its own shower/toilet. It has a decent sized pool which was a godsend in the hot weather.
The best thing was being a 3-4 minute walk from the village centre. Itâs just so central.
My only complaint would be that it gets incredibly hot between 4-6pm. The fans in the bedrooms were not really effective at blowing out cool air. I did mention to the property manager that it would be great to have the same fans in the room as the one in the lounge, which was really good quality. My husband and I walked into town around this time and had a drink before dinner to escape the extreme heat. (It was a particularly hot period that we were there). Saying all that, we would definitely go back.
The house is beautiful, in the Centre of Lourmarin but so peaceful, a wonderful kitchen to cook in.
if I am being hyper critical there were only 2 deck chairs & we were a family of 4.
very good location, about 1 minute to the main street of Lourmarin. We had a C4 and it fits in the garage which is very handy to enable visits to other locations. Kitchen well equipped. Easy to self cater. Pool was very fine as it is a good depth. So close and not a noise from the town. I would go again. Lourmarin is a little different from other Luberon towns as it has a bar which was great for our 30 year olds after dinner
We stayed at the property for 6 nights as part of our honeymoon. The house was beautiful with every detail considered making our stay very comfortable. A open plan, light house which fantastic outside area and swimming pool. The kitchen was very well stocked which made it easy to self cater but at the same time, it was less than a minute from the town with a great range of restaurants. I would highly recommend staying at this lovely house and Cecile who met us was extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you.
