Bienvenue dans notre maison de plage Duck Vacation! Nous avons eu la chance de voir plus de 65% de nos clients revenir année après année. Cela en dit long !! Nous sommes fiers de nous assurer que la maison est mise à jour et rafraîchie pour chaque saison !! Ce n'est pas seulement une «location». Nous apprécions la maison en basse saison, donc elle reçoit beaucoup d'attention et de soins.

Nous sommes situés dans la communauté de Colony By the Sea qui est à distance de marche du charmant village de Duck et à quelques minutes à pied (moins de 8 minutes) des dunes (sur un chemin privé) jusqu'à la plage. Colony By the Sea propose des équipements tels qu'une grande piscine en bord de mer, du tennis, du basket-ball, etc.

Vous trouverez ici une propriété confortable, bien entretenue et bien équipée, prête pour vos vacances à la plage. 4 chambres (3 queen, 2 twin) et 2 salles de bain sont situées au premier étage. Notre maison peut accueillir jusqu'à 8 personnes. La grande salle, la cuisine et la salle à manger sont situées au 2e étage. Le spa est situé sur une terrasse privée au rez-de-chaussée avec une douche extérieure et une buanderie récemment rénovée. Internet sans fil est également fourni.

Colony by the Sea est une merveilleuse communauté balnéaire familiale. Nous savons que vous serez heureux d'avoir choisi notre maison de plage pour vos vacances !!

Family vacation

Great location to walk to shops in Duck. House had all the extras we needed for time at the beach including use of beach towels and umbrellas. Also enjoyed extras like pickleball set and tennis supplies. Pet friendly and clean! We had a lovely week.

Great Holiday Week!

My friends and I stayed here for a week over the 4th of July and we had the best time. The location of this home is so ideal: we could walk to coffee, to the beach and restaurants. We cooked quite a bit and the kitchen had all of the cookware we needed and was very clean. Would definitely recommend this house!

Great location!

This home is very clean, easy walk to the beach and downtown Duck. We left the car at the house and walked everywhere. A bunch of places to eat nearby or just go to Wee Winks or another market and cook at home. Great experience! Our family of 5 will stay here again if we come back to the OBX.

Best family vacation

We just had the best family vacation! Our three teenagers even said it was one of the best vacations they've had. The home was very clean with everything we needed. We only brought food and clothing, everything else was available in the house. It was beautiful and comfortable and we felt right at home there. The covered sitting area outside was great. We could get out of the sun and extreme heat and stay cool with the shade and wonderful breaze. The hot tub was relaxing. The location of the house was perfect. We barely got in our car, which in my opinion, really felt like a vacation. We walked multiple times a day to the beach and was also in a short walking distance to so many restaurants. Even though everything was close by, the street was quiet and felt like we were away from all business of life. It was a perfect relaxing stay. We had some much needed family time. Thank you for the great accomodations and well cared for home!

Family vacation paradise!

We had a wonderful stay. The location is unbeatable - walking distance to everything on the boardwalk and to the beach! We barely touched our cars. It is located in an optimal place for ease of access to everything as well as privacy. We didn't see any neighbors or hear anything and had an amazing time at the beach and enjoying Duck. The house is very well stocked - plenty of items in the kitchen as well as outdoor use. If we had known how well, we could have made our lives easier and not packed so much! I can't say enough great things about the property. Scott and his family make it feel like your second home!

Incredible Duck home away from home

We loved our stay. This home was incredibly clean and comfortable enough to feel like home away from home. With easy access to the beach and close proximity to the boardwalk, it made our first visit to the OBX easy. We would recommend this spot for families or a group of friends.

After-Dune Delight

Couldn’t have been a more glorious week! The house and location was perfect. Now we see why over half of the renters are repeat customers. There is nothing we lacked and are grateful for the time we spent in Duck! Hope to return again soon.

Lovely time in Duck

Great overall stay. Only complaint regarding cottage was the chains on the ceiling fans were to short for someone "vertically challenged "! Owner thought of everything to make for a fun stay for myself and my family. It was a great experience! Thank you!!

Nice family setup

House was very nice! Good setup for family with 4 equal size rooms and 2 large bathrooms. Great size kitchen for cooking and well appointed. We drove to the parking lot at the condos with no issues for parking and making it easier to haul our stuff to the beach. Loved the pool access. Had kind of a rainy week, was nice to have space to play family games and be comfortable.

Great beach house! Highly recommend!

Pros: Very clean Walking distance to beach and pool (8 minutes) Had access to tennis courts, playground Dog friendly with access to multiple grassy areas Walking distance to the village area and the Duck boardwalk with multiple shops and restaurants Kitchen was incredibly well stocked. Included linens, towels, even beach towels , beach toys/chairs/umbrella Hot tub is clean and large Plenty of hot water for showers Cons: Needs a place to hang up jackets by door (hooks, etc) Deck sliding door —hard to open/close Have to run and empty dishwasher before checking out (prefer to just set it to run)

Like home but better

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The property is in a great location, short walk from the beach and convenient to the shops. We really enjoyed the sunrise walks along the coast and evening dips in the hot tub. Kitchen was well equipped. Only drawback was the bed sizes; not sure if I misread the listing or if the listing needs to be revised. I was expecting queen beds and they were full-size beds. Over all, we had a wonderful stay.

Great Stay!

Loved that this rental provided linens and allowed us to use their towels as well. Hot tub is a nice bonus. We did not realize until we arrived that we shared the pool with the condo complex at end of road. Thought this would bother me more than it actually did as the pool was never filled up any day we were there. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay.

Gem Vacation Home

We loved everything about this beach house! We are a family of 6 & had a wonderful stay. We even brought our frenchie. It was very clean & you could tell the home is well taken care of & loved. We love the natural wood beams & high ceilings in the main living area. It was nice having everything we needed as the house is thoughtfully stocked! We enjoyed the community pool & the community events of the town of Duck. Very close to town. We look forward to returning again.

Disappointing

Two major issues: they replaced the dishwasher in the middle of our stay. We also had to rewash a set of sheets because the bed was sandy. Several minor issues: at least two broken chairs and a broken boogie board among the beach supplies. Grill was dirty. The kitchen only had four table spoons so we had to rely on soup spoons. While they provide towels, you may want to bring one or two of your own. To get the full security deposit back, you need to wash and dry any towels you use before you leave.

Relaxing trip for our 25th Anniv

Had a great stay here with our small pups. Very quiet and private road with a short walk to the beach or shopping and restaurants in Duck. Very clean and bright house with everything we needed, including great internet! Enjoyed or evenings in the hot tub. Can't wait to go back!

Adorable house and a great location

The house is in excellent condition and the owners have stocked the kitchen very well. The location is also wonderful and walking distance both to Duck and the beach. There was one minor issue with the house outside water having been winterized for washing off sandy feet and the owner responded and handled it immediately. Great stay!

Wonderful Duck Getaway

We had 2 adults and 2 kids at this property and had a great time. The beds were comfortable, the deck was great, there was a nice looking hot tub that we didn't use since it was SO hot, and the community pool was neat, too. The beach was wonderful - perfectly aqua blue water. Saw lots of fish and hermit crabs! The kitchen was stocked really, really well, and the commercial size washer and dryer made laundry so easy. The TVs in every room is a nice touch and there are sand toys/beach chairs galore that made it really easy to not have to pack extra things. The only thing I can think of that was different than we expected was the distance to beach. An 8 min walk was noted, but with 2 small kids and older folks, and it being 90 degrees, we drove every day and parked in the lot. The beach walkway is located in between the two condominiums and we were a bit confused at first wondering where the path was. The "playground" consists of swings only, but there is a more traditional playground in town. We're back in the reality of work and our homes away from the beach now. Really looking forward to going back. I could see this being a great stay at any time of the year.

Very charming home in an excellent location

The house is spotless, wonderfully equipped and convenient for both town and beach while being in a very quiet location. With 3 teens, 2 parents and a grandparent the house had plenty of space to relax together or spend quiet time alone. We really appreciated the well equipped kitchen as we love to cook - and found all the tools we needed to make full meals. The 5 minute walk to the beach was easy and enabled us to spend a lot of time swimming, watching sunrises and moonrises and night hikes with the ghost crabs. The town is great and safe for teens - our kids (14-17) loved their freedom to walk around the boardwalk and visit Duck Donuts (several times during our week!) We love nature so watching the dolphins, fish, seabirds, osprey, fence lizards and writing spiders also made for a really fun week. Highly recommended!

With our Beach House, I want to try and provide all of the 'little' items that make a vacation the best, like supplying sand chairs, umbrella's, and coolers, having a well appointed kitchen, hot tub, etc. The number of repeat guests to “After Dune Delight” has been awesome! I appreciate that our guests take care of the house as if it was their own. I am excited for our guests to have a terrific vacation!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We love the Outer Banks and Duck is the best location! It’s an easy walk to the charming Duck village with great shops and wonderful places to dine. If it's a movie or mini golf you want, it's just a short drive up the highway. Then head back home to the relaxing and quiet Sea Colony community with uncrowded and clean beaches.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

After Dune Delight is located in one of Duck's more popular communities called "Colony By The Sea.” Private parking only at the beach with no public access to the beach. Your group can ride bikes, play tennis, and visit the basketball court and playground. There is even a community pool! The pictures of “My Happy Place” are recent and our home is well maintained.
