A large studio adjacent to the Sheen woods and Richmond Park. Short walking distance to the bus to get around the area. Nice area to walk around.Peter and Nikki are great hosts and easy to contact when needed.
We had such a great time. Peter and his wife were so nice and accommodating. Their property is in such a beautiful part of Richmond and it was a relief to come back from the crazy city to be in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by gorgeous parks. Plenty of Lime bikes around for a quick ride into town to explore or get onto the train. Will most definitely book again next time we are back in the area. cant recommend this spot enough.
Very spacious studio with beautiful back garden adjacent to East Sheen Common and then onto Richmond Park. High Street has everything one needs. Own transportation makes getting around easy. Studio has a parking space. Self catering option is a bonus. Recommend.
Wonderful little well-equipped apartment in a quiet and lovely neighborhood. Peter and Nikki are excellent hosts and were very helpful and kind. Would definitely stay here again!
We stayed here while visiting London. It was an easy train ride into the city. London was extremely hot when we visited. It was relaxing to return to this quiet, cool studio for a relaxing evening.
We are from Canada and needed a place to stay close to Richmond Park as my daughter was attending the Royal Ballet Schoolâs summer intensive program. Peter and Nikkiâs place was perfect for our needs as it is located right on the outskirts of the park and it took only minutes to bring my daughter to and from the ballet school each day. The studio was large and bright with a wonderful view of the back garden, and the house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in East Sheen away from the bustle of traffic. The full kitchen allowed us to easily prepare our own meals, with Sainsburyâs and Waitrose only minutes away for groceries. Peter was good enough to provide us with some basics such as milk, cereal, tea, and coffee to get us started on our first day. Our visit was quiet and relaxing, and we couldnât have asked for a more perfect place to stay or more welcoming hosts. We look forward to returning again one day soon!
First of all, the hosts were so helpful and hospitable!
The cottage offers everything you need for a great home base for exploration of London and beyond. The spacious area is tastefully decorated and offers a lush garden â complete with tree swing, sculptures, and romping fox kits and mama! We loved it.
Nighttime offered complete silence for a beautiful sleep. Although youâll need to walk to the Mortlake Rail Station to access trains (15 min), the walk takes you through a lovely residential community. We didnât mind it and knew that was the price to pay to get out of hectic, noisy London and the small and expensive hotel rooms weâd find there.
We bordered Richmond Park and trekked about to see the deer, King Henryâs Mount, etc. The park is amazing. We rented bikes on one day and walked around on the other days. So much to see for nature lovers â right next to the house.
Weâd definitely return and we highly recommend.
For our two-week stay in the London area, we needed a comfortable, welcoming place to serve as a home base. And we certainly found it in this lovely East Sheen studio!
We did not rent a car, so we did a lot of walking â 12 minutes to the nearest bus stop, 20 minutes to the nearest train station, and about 35 minutes into the center of nearby Richmond. We were very close to Richmond Park, and about a 40 minute walk to Kew Gardens. We very much appreciated the comforts of the apartment after a long day of sightseeing and walking.
Part of our plan was to have two meals in the aparment, and lunch out. The well-designed kitchen made it easy to do this. But if we didnât feel like cooking, there were two pubs within a few minutes walk. And at the end of the day, the very comfortable bed gave us a good nightâs sleep.
Our host, Peter, was very accommodating and supportive while at the same time respecting our privacy. It was great to have our own entrance to the apartment. The neighborhood felt very safe, even when walking home after dark.
We loved our stay in the London area, and this was a great place to base ourselves!
We have spent the best holidays in Peter and Niki's place. Beauty, relax and nice walks along Richmond Park and nextdoor woods have acompanied us during our stay.
The house was clean, well equipped with even Netflix and we could watch films we always wanted to see.
Thanks Peter and Niki for your kindness and warmth.
My friend and I stayed here on a recent vacation. The hosts were lovely, even making sure we had been able to order dinner on the first night since we arrived late. The apartment is spacious and met all of our needs. We particularly enjoyed the proximity to Richmond Park. It was an easy walk to the train station to get to the city.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed the peaceful location next to Richmond Park. We did not have a car, yet that did not stop us from getting around . It is an easy walk to the main street where we took the bus into Richmond. We also took the train into central London for a day trip. Richmond Park was fun to explore. The modern conveniences of the studio apartment made the stay a pleasure. We also went to the two nearest pubs, The Victoria and The Plough, they were both excellent. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
blessed with perfect weather to enjoy access to Richmond Park and also the 1/2+ walk to shops and transportation. The two pubs within 5 minutes' walk offer excellent beers, cocktails, and food. The studio apartment is well equipped, albeit with a tiny bathroom, and offers nice seating area and a queen-sized bed with a view of the pretty garden.
