We appreciated the hostâs attention to detail. The house was thoughtfully supplied with fans (we came in the heat of summer), games for the kids, and really anything we needed. Hosts were very generous is letting us see the farm and animals. Our family had a great time, thank you!
Wonderful, kind, and responsive hosts! When a storm made it unsafe to stay, they helped us find a hotel and even lent us a pack and play for our child. Sad we missed out on their beautiful property (and the animals!) but hope to visit again soon.
Every bit as delightful as the photos suggest; gleaming wood floors with colorful rugs; exquisite bedrooms. Quality, charm and art abound indoors (with a great dollop of practicality and ease as well) and with a library to outlast any stay. Outdoors the regenerated land is a birders paradise. And the hosts are simply as special as their home.
We loved our visit and stay at Hurricane Hill Farm! We got to enjoy the peace of the farm, see the animals, and even have farm fresh eggs for breakfast! We loved having our morning coffee outside and snacks outside. Laying on the hammock was relaxing as well! Coincidentally, we had the opportunity to be at their annual sheep shearing festival. We all enjoyed that as well! Thank you for a beautiful weekend!
We had the loveliest time at Hurricane Hill! The house is beautifully furnished and the hosts were super sweet and helpful. We loved visiting the animals too. We want to go back, it was one of the top stays weâve ever had anywhere!
Fun place to stay, very New England. We werenât able to walk around much due to rain but itâs a lovely spot and the host was very nice. Would stay again.
This farm stay was all we hoped for. Beautiful accommodations, great bedding, well stocked kitchen and amazing views. Plus, the sheep, goats, llama, poultry, and gardens reminded us so much of our old farm in Iowa. We hope to return in the summer.
This was an amazing place to stay while we were visiting family in Rhode Island. The house was beautiful in a very peaceful location with lots of animals around. The hosts were very kind and we had everything we needed for a wonderful visit. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.
Overall there were 7 of us (5 adults, 2 children). The farmhouse was comfy and offered everything we needed from amenities to location. Drake and Wright were amazing and friendly hosts. We were in RI to visit family and our stay at Hurricane Hill Farm made our visit perfect. We would recommend and most definitely stay here again.
We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The farm was such an asset for young ones. They played for hours after a Long plane ride. The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. Drake was great to work with!
We absolutely loved it here. Cute cottage with a magical space. Farm fresh duck eggs were wonderful. Sipping morning tea under the linden tree out back was our favorite!
This property and home would be so cozy for a staycation! Charming art and furniture & a vast book collection for all ages. Games (we enjoyed cat Bingo đ) and even cozy stuffies to love. Our youngest enjoyed feeding the llama and visiting the animals. The hosts were great about communication.
We had the most wonderful time! The property is stunning and Drake and Wright are incredible hosts. The cottage is cozy, well maintained, and easily had enough space for the 7 of us. We would love to stay here again!
Drake and Wright, thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your wonderful home. The farm is amazing and being among the animals was a special treat. The serene property and cottage were just what we were looking for and the location made getting to our destinations of Martha's Vineyard, Providence and Newport very easy.
We hope to come back for another visit!

I'm a former archaeologist/anthropologist and arts and humanities non-profit leader turned farmer and entrepreneur. My husband and co-host Wright is a designer/fabricator and artist (some of the art in the cottage is his). Our farm is always a work-in-progress and we never seem t be done with the myriad of projects that need us. Meanwhile, we treasure its light, its birdsong and the even changing gifts the land offers. We are fiber farmers-keeping a breed of sheep on the critical list. We also run goats and chickens. A llama guards the sheep (and sometimes, us!). Farm dog Rosie imagines she guards the llama. Buddy Big Dog is our main greeter, enjoying his senior status. Finally, Smokey Pants the cat is in charge of everyone!
We came to our farm by way of a smaller one-and one we had no intention of leaving. This place needed attention-and we felt we could bring it back into use again. Our 1750's farm is protected from development in perpetuity-and we currently share our land with one woman-owned. The farm is also home to an events /education space (find us by searching for hurricane hill farm in RI) and my husband's design & build studio. The opportunity to be part of and do all these things on our own land is a dream come true.
Our location is an adventurer's dream! We are close to everything, yet serene and private. We will be as helpful as you need (we can give you ideas for restaurants and attractions) or as hands off as you want (we'll just let you be!). Our guests seem to treasure the solitude of our little farm and remember, you can take a selfie with a llama-you can't do that everywhere!
