Sarah's property was perfectly appointed and felt like the vacation home we'd want on a weekend away from the city. The master bedroom bed was incredibly comfortable. Sarah was very communicative leading up to the stay and flexible to our needs on checking in early. Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautifully designed abode.
Great visit to a well maintained, and very comfortable place!
Plenty of space, and a nice variety of rooms.
Sarah is very responsive, and a wonderful owner / host.
You will enjoy your stay here!
My family had a really nice long weekend at this vacation home and it was the perfect backdrop for a cozy family weekend away. Sarah was terrific with communication and the home is accurately described, perfectly appointed, modern in details, very clean, centrally located between Saugerties and Woodstock, and a terrific house if you are traveling with furry family members. I highly recommend this lovely home.
Wonderful and responsive host, beautiful house, excellent property! We canât wait to be back! Also probably the best parking set up weâve had at a Woodstock rental. Very easy to pull in and out and park head out, which makes a big difference on snowy icy days. The bottom level is basically an apartment unto itself so thereâs privacy, room, and windows all around you.
Great place to hang out with friends or family. The host made thoughtful renovation and design decisions, including indoor and outdoor dining spaces so you can choose the screened porch or the dining room indoors depending on the weather. The beds and the linens are comfortable.
She opened the family room to the kitchen so that space is great for spending time together. It's fun to see the before and after images of the renovation that are framed in the hallways. The weather was chilly and rainy so we spent a lot of time just hanging out together and enjoying the fireplace (and firewood).
We cooked in and found the pots/pans/utensils and dishes to be just what we needed. There is one drawer with spices, but we brought the ones we expected to use with us (just in case). The host even had powerful flashlight/lanterns, which came in handy when there was a short power outage in the region (2 hours). (There are toys there as well for younger children).
Landscape lights outside are on a timer and add a twinkle to the darkness and there's a lovely flower patch out front.
We visited the Opus 40 down the street -- walkable, but we chose to drive because our time was limited. It was well worth the visit and so close. If you go to Kaaterskill Falls, check out the parking options before you go -- we ended up only being able to drive by b/c all of the parking areas were jammed.
We would stay here again next time we are in the area.
6 adults and 1 dog spent a wonderful week and Thanksgiving holiday at Sarah's home. From start to finish our stay was perfect. The home is well appointed and beautifully designed and decorated - so cozy! Perfect location. Sarah went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Available for any questions we had and she gave a lot of recommendations before we arrive. Looking forward to stay again on our next trip out. thanks so much! Highly recommend.
The location of this property is ideal to enjoy both Saugerties and Woodstock. We had everything we needed here in this warm, inviting space (even a record player for a variety of tunes!!).
I rented this house with a few couples for a friends wedding weekend in Saugerties. The host was very easy to work with and the house was perfect for our needs. Very modern and clean environment with plenty of space. Highly recommend!
This house looked exactly as the photos showed. It was clean, and tastefully decorated. The kitchen had all the things our friend group needed to cook, and enjoy our dinners each night. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. We all had good nightâs sleep. The outdoor porch area was a great place to hang out and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The owner, Sarah, was responsive, and very easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend!
Our hotel room was cancelled just prior to the Dressage Championships. We needed at least 3 rooms and I found this spot. It was 5 minutes to HITS and worked out better than hotel. We did easy BBQ and enjoyed spending Friday eve in the house. Everything was well appointed. We were not there much, however it was a perfect spot to unite at the end of a long day. All the amenities In a super cute and clean home. Great experience and we would return for sure.
I hosted a girls' weekend at this lovely house and it was magical! This house has a very cool and cozy vibe, and we all felt it. So many beautiful details, clearly chosen by someone with impeccable taste. Although it's a small house, it felt very spacious, had everything we needed. Having a fire in the fireplace through most of the weekend made it especially cozy. Well located close to town where we enjoyed massages, meals out, and a trip to the Lighthouse by the Hudson River. Sarah was very responsive and helpful.
Just returned from a lovely weekend! House was perfect for our family of five. Recently renovated with modern, fun furnishings. Meticulous kitchen and bathroom. Well stocked kitchen. Only item lacking was a pancake griddle. Back deck is huge (and also new) with pretty views of wooded area in back. Kiddos enjoyed running in the spacious well kept yard. Would have loved an outdoor fire pit, but we didnât mind cozying up on the large, comfy couch and enjoying the fireplace inside. A great place and easy ride to Woodstock.
This place turned out to be a wonderful find for us. Ideally situated between Woodstock and Saugerties, one of the things we liked right away is that the property offers privacy without feeling remote. Itâs located on a quiet road and there is no light pollution to spoil the night sky. The property is about an acre (I believe) and there is a good amount of space between the house and any neighbors.
The best part though is the inside space. Sarah has taken what I imagine was an ordinary mid-century rancher and turned it into a warm, inviting retreat. While there are enough knick-knacks and wall art to make it feel like one is staying at a relativeâs country cottage, it doesnât feel cluttered or overdone. My wife found the kitchen to be very functional and although we had brought a few of our own cooking items, this turned out to be unnecessary. The kitchen already had everything we needed.
Every room has abundant natural light and the walls and ceilings are all white, giving it a light and airy feel. We particularly enjoyed the small but cozy dining room with its rustic wooden dinner table and ample windows on three sides, providing a great view of the property while eating.
I would mention the negatives as well except there really werenât any, except perhaps for the mosquitos (outside, not in the house). But hey, itâs upstate NY. Be sure to pack your bug spray during the warm months! All in all, we had a great experience and wouldnât hesitate to stay here again.
