The house and location were even more beautiful than all of the photos. Alan the host was fantastic!!It was 2 minutes away from Woodstock village and 2 minutes away from the Levon Helm Studio. Would stay there again without a doubt. The house had everything you needed and then some!!With
Beautiful house in Woodstock. Walkable to stores and restaurants. Great base for day trips to mountains and other fun towns. Very nice house for a family vacation.
We had a lovely visit to Woodstock and the Catskills region. Convenient to downtown and other nearby attractions, the house was a wonderful and comfortable place to base. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing fall getaway.
The beds were great, the rooms spacious, the kitchen well stocked. Large tables for eating both inside and out, and the woodsy setting was just lovely.
This was the most well stocked place Iâve ever stayed at! Food in the pantry, toiletries in every bathroom. The decor was gorgeous. We had such a nice time and weâll definitely be back.
7 of us stayed for Presidents Day ski weekend, and had a fantastic stay. The house is laid out really nicely, and the kitchen is loaded with just about any tool you can imagine. There are literally HUNDREDS of amazing decor pieces, we were seeing new ones even as we checked out!Alan came to meet us and make sure we were in and comfortable with the workings of the house and checked in a number of times to make sure we were taken care of during the 10 inches of snow and ice that fell.Fantastic weekend - come for the skiing, stay for the Blokus games!!!
Really wonderful house in ideal location....tucked in the woods but only a mile from downtown Woodstock. The owner met us there when we arrived and provided us with all the information taht we needed. All of the bedrooms were so well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!!
Stayed for a week with extended family. Plenty of room for 5 adults and one child. Incredible location walking distance to most of what Woodstock has to offer. Short drives to awesome hiking and trail running. Near Hannaford supermarket and much more! Canât wait to return!
What a great house. We explored the surrounding sights and restaurants. Alan gave us super advice on everything. We would come back here, for sure. Very well done in every aspect.

We had a great visit with friends in this cozy and well-supplied house near Woodstock town center. We especially loved the fireplace and appreciated the clean and stocked kitchen and pantry. Alan was a thoughtful and thorough host.
Our host meet us at his home when we arrived and showed us around. He was very polite. Our family came in from Arkansas, Georgia, NY and RI. We had Thanksgiving dinner there for 15 people. We had plenty of room for everyone. Everyone loved this charming home. The layout was perfect for everyone.
house and its charm.
Great hosts. Lovely house. Perfectly located. Had lots of fun exploring Woodstock and the surrounding areas during the day. Enjoyed coming back to the house the relax on the back deck, cook dinner and have some family time.
We just spent a wonderful week long vacation in this beautiful home. Perfectly situated in the surrounding woods yet just a short walk to town. Loved the well stocked kitchen and having all the paper products already provided was a real plus. Our host was very accommodating to the few special requests we made.
Will definitely recommend a return visit
Our group traveled from various cities and met in Woodstock to share a very festive three night Thanksgiving holiday. The house is super comfortable and the open plan made it lots of fun to prepare many dishes then sit down together and share a beautiful turkey dinner with all the trimmings. A bounty of thanks to Alan and Carol!
While we were rather surprised by how modest this property looked when we first arrived, the house was beautiful, spacious and well equipped. We were 4 older couples and the setting was perfect for us. There were spaces for all of us to gather and also settings for smaller groups. Alan gave a FaceTime tour when we arrived, and that was sufficient to orient us to the property. We would definitely recommend this lovely home to our friends, and should we ever return to Woodstock we would want to stay here again.
Located in a sweet spot, within minutes walk to favorite restaurants and shops in Woodstock. Yet the house feels like it's in the middle of the woods -- very peaceful. Can easily accommodate parties of 6-8 people comfortably. House has everything one might need to cook for and relax with family and friends. Great gas grill with enough space for everybody's hamburgers, steaks or fish. Short drives to our favorite trails. Incredibly responsive owner to boot. Can't wait to return.
This was a sisterâs getaway. There were 4 of us & we each had our own bedroom! This house is just terrificâŠ,very clean, had everything you need in the kitchen, very comfortable beds, nice big dining room table, great bathrooms, a big deck overlooking the woods. So enjoyed feeding the deer as they strolled by near dusk. A real gem in the country yet so close to great restaurants. Woodstock has great shops a short walk from the house, plus we went to the CIA one day for lunch then a tour of the Vanderbilt mansion. The Red Onion restaurant is about 2 miles away & is fabulous! We ate at the house one night, so we could enjoy the house itself, watch TV, listen to music and flip through a great collection of cook books, travel books etc. Our host Alan was just wonderful to work with! Highly recommend!
Woodstock. Our favorite place! Our retreat to unplug, detach and recharge. Alanâs home was the perfect place for our winter retreat!
Alan was so wonderful with his communication and met us upon arrival to show us around his home and answer any questions.
His home is clean, comfortable and had a variety of books, games and a fully stocked pantry to help make our stay incredibly comfortable and easy.
The layout of the home is ideal for groups, especially families with children.
The view out the back deck to the expansive woods was wonderful and the kids loved seeing the animals walk by!
The walk into town was quick, easy and safe - taking a few side roads to Mill Street.
We are so grateful we found Alanâs home and were able to spend a long weekend enjoying all Woodstock has to offer!
Thank you Alan âźïžâ€ïž
The property is lovely and a short drive to the area of shops and restaurants. You can walk if you prefer. There is a backyard set among mature trees and the house is set back from the road. Alan is a great host and explained everything thoroughly upon our arrival. He was also gracious in allowing us entry before the check in time. The house has 4 bedrooms all of which are nicely appointed. We had the master suite and the rest of our family had the other 3 bedrooms, one of which is very large and has 2 beds. The house is stocked with everything you need if you want to cook including spices and condiments. We ate one meal on the large back deck and had our coffee in the morning on very comfortable furniture. The bathrooms were spotless. There are many beautiful items and art in the house which made it feel very homey. This rental worked perfectly for my family.
My sisters and I spent our annual sisters' weekend at this beautiful home in Woodstock. Everything was as advertised, right down to the beauty and comfort of this home. We easily walked into town and found plenty to do. The home was so beautiful that we cancelled our Sunday plans and just stayed put. There were 6 of us, so we had plenty of room to spread out, and easy spaces to all be together. Alan met us there for a tour when we arrived, and could not have been more gracious. We will definitely return!
I vacationed in Woodstock and the Catskills for many years before finally deciding to put down roots and buy my home 12 years ago. . I have always loved the natural beauty of the area and was particularly drawn to Woodstock for it's cultural offerings, creative energy, wonderful music, diverse people, great food, excellent shops and galleries. In Summer months I enjoy hiking, biking and swimming in the local water holes. In Winter it is such a treat to walk in the snow and come home to sit by the fire. The Fall Leaves are beautiful although I am very happy to have someone else rake them :-) Halloween and Christmas are very special Holidays in Woodstock when the entire town gets together to celebrate. In short, you can do as much or as little as you want here and it is an easy, casual and beautiful place to relax. I am passionate about decorating and design and my career has been in Home Textiles for over 20 years..I take great pride in having a warm and comfortable home and I look forward to welcoming you as a guest... Hope to see you soon... Best, Carol
I fell in love with the natural beauty and privacy of the setting. The open floor plan with cathedral ceilings and skylights provide a spacious and relaxed feeling.
Huge Deck for entertaining, ample parking, beautiful gardens. Spacious oversized bedrooms - the Queen Studio is the size of a large studio apartment and a second bedroom, the King Suite, has 14' ceilings, a panoramic view of the woods and was once a yoga studio.
