The cottage was very quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Little chocolates and the bottle of cider was a sweet addition to our anniversary celebration. We enjoyed a fire looking out to the beach and the location was great for exploring. I would highly recommend this lovely place.
It was even better than expected! It was such a beautiful, quiet and relaxing place. We will definitely be staying again if we ever return to that area. It was easy to go into Poulsbo from the Vrbo and explore that area. We enjoyed having our coffee on the beach. The view was amazing.
Gorgeous property and host goes above and beyond with the details. The little guest house is quaint and cozy. We enjoyed sitting by the fire on the water and the incredibly comfortable bed! Thank you for letting us enjoy your piece of paradise!
Absolutely loved the property and enjoyed every moment there! The bed was comfy with soft quality bedding and cabin was set up perfectly for two! My adult daughter and i went to poulsbo for a 3 day rest and healing type of retreat and this place was perfect! Serenity and nature and calm all around us w incredible view of bay w waves lapping at shore. I cant wait to come back on next vaca and bring my hubby!
Beautiful, relaxing property that delivers everything you need for a break from the busyness. Comfy bed (had some great sleep scores), a small kitchen that has everything you need to cook up some small meals, and huge spa shower. Close drive to downtown Poulsbo.
A short walk through a lush, inviting garden takes you to the rocky beach where the waves lap the shore. Cozy kitchen/sitting room adjoins a lovely bedroom area with lots of closet space and a beautiful spa-like bathroom. Everything available for a great stay and the area around the home is green and inviting - perfect for two people to share a great get-away.
First impressions, beautifulâŠthe grounds, 200â tall cedars, an enormous variety of plants and ground-cover and a perfect beach for combing and watching the sunset. The Suite isnât âonâ the water, you can see it through the windows and itâs only a few steps around the side of the house. All in all great place.
Such a pretty little home and the perfect place to unwind sitting in the little deck that overlooks the Sound. Couldnât have been more picturesque. Also we were lucky to have 2 full days of sunshine, Iâm sure Sandi planned it that way too for us.
Sandra was an excellent host. She is very responsive to her guests. The property was exceptionally clean and welcoming. The decorative touches and detailed amenities make it so comfortable. We went cold plunging in the water most of our stay. We enjoyed sitting on the pebble beach during sunrise and sunset at low tide all while listening to the barking sea lions, birds, and the bugles (at the naval base across the water).
The property and location were beautiful. Exceeded our expectations. We didnât want to leave. Everything was perfect. So much attention to detail. The kitchen, living space and bedroom were all amazing and relaxing. We would love to come back for a longer stay.
I grew up in Bremerton, but have lived away from Washington for a long time. I used to stay with family when I'd return, but as I get older that's more complicated (it's probably me, but it could be them). This place is a dream. Cozy in every sense of the word. The fireplace, the fluffy perfect bed, the walk-in shower and serene location in the woods. I'd talk about the beach but that's not really a feature in the winter time (see fireplace). Great for cozy couple or single getaway.
What a wonderful place to stay. Perfect location. Beautiful view. The cottage is so cozy and comfortable. The bed was great. Sitting and looking out over the water was my favorite part. Watching seals and bald eagles and seagulls dropping clams on the beach to open them up. Everything was perfect. If we ever find ourselves back in the area, we will definitely stay again!!
The beach cottage is a great getaway. The cottage was very comfortable from the beds to the way it was decorated. Had everything you could possibly need. The location was beautiful among the trees and gardens. The hosts, Sandy and Larry were very nice and gave us info about the area that was much appreciated. We will definitely go back.
We stayed in the cottage for a weekend full of friends and family. We attended a friend's wedding one night and a nephew's birthday party on another day. This was a great central location to both events and was so relaxing and wonderful. It was warm and welcoming when we walked in, there was a fire going and jazz music playing. There was even a chalkboard with a welcome message! Fantastic stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
This was an amazing, cozy, beautiful cottage. Beautiful views right on the water. So much to do nearby. We had beautiful fall weather. Sandy was an amazing host and cottage had everything you would need plus some! Thank you and we would def. visit again!
Beautiful property. Very private. Cottage was comfortable & very clean. Sunrise over the water was the perfect way to start my day. While I did not get to meet the owner face to face, she was very responsive to email. I recommend arrival in daylight for first time as it is very dark & secluded (which I loved). Overall great place to stay!
Totally relaxing! We had everything we needed and then some.e
We arrived in the dark with NO problem finding our little vacation hide away.
When we opened the door the little fireplace was glowing and Shari had cool jazz playing on the big screen.
We were awaken by the soft sounds of roosters crowing, and the Star Spangled Banner playing in the distance.
We enjoyed the fire pit one afternoon and walked the beach and found a few perfect rocks to keep as souvenirs.
This is our 2nd time on the shores in Pacific North West, hoping to find our perfect spot for our retirement.
Highly recommend this beautiful place!
Thank you so much! Michele & Dave
Wonderful escape for a couple nights in a beautiful cottage by the water. Attention to detail was evident throughout. Lovely garden. Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed are visit and hope to return in the future.
I was born in Seattle and have lived in San Francisco and Honolulu over the years but this remains HOME. I went to the University of Washington and grew up in the Shoreline area. I love the energy of the city but treasure the smells of my fir trees and beach here in Poulsbo. This little corner of the world offers both convenience and escape. I love my garden, my cozy home and the grandeur of the views we have here. Water and mountains!
My husband and I bought this beautiful home on the water and have enjoyed every minute of it! The wildlife surrounds us with eagles, seals and even whales. I love the garden and the feeling we're miles away from the busy city but really it's only a short drive away. The town of Poulsbo is even a quick 3 mile walk! There's golfing, casino life, theatres and restaurants and everything you might want close by but when you're on the beach you feel peaceful and away from it all!
Your walk to the beach will take you 15 seconds. The view from the kitchen window is out toward the water through the garden. The kayaks are waiting for you to explore the shoreline. The fire pit is ready for marshmallows or simply a quiet night in the Adirondack chairs with a glass of wine. Whitehorse Golf Course is 25 minutes away. Clearwater Casino is a 5 minute drive. Shopping in Silverdale is only 15 minutes away and the little town of Poulsbo with Sluys Bakery is just 3 miles away. The ferry to Seattle and all it has to offer is just 20 minutes away too. These are the reasons I LOVE THIS PLACE! And I hope you will too.....
