The condo had everything to make our stay comfortable. On-site BBQs were in great condition, grounds were very clean and property is within easy walking distance of downtown.
Four adults stayed very comfortably in this beautiful Kona condo complex
The location, grounds, and amenities of this resort experience can not be over-emphasized.
The check-in process was a breeze and the front desk employees we encountered were exceptional! We felt like we were in paradise the entire time.
Unexpected niceties were the Kona shuttle takes you for FREE everywhere and stop is only a 1/2 block away. Small but gorgeous Honl's beach a couple blocks walk.
Sunsets right across the street were the best I saw the entire trip.
LOVED the kitchen, perfectly equipped, and brand new grills right outside. The lanai was huge and we spent most mornings and evening there. The pools and the larger jacuzzi were amazing.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Nice stay for 4 adults and two kids. Nice big rooms and lani. Kids loved the pool. Grounds were well kept and staff very friendly. Didnât realize it was a time share - thought we had booked a specific unit, but then realized it was a timeshare and any unit could be assigned when you arrive. This was fine since all units seemed nice and well kept by property management/guest services at Wyndham. Our unit had issue with air conditioner leaking water onto carpet in hallway. But the front desk responded promptly to the issue and worked with the timeshare owner, Matt, to address the inconvenience. Texted Matt once through the VRBO website and he was very quick to respond. Would definitely stay here again.
Room was as advertised. Comfy beds, large living space, good kitchen. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, Showers, washer/dryer, tv, all work.
Pool was small, would have been nicer to be a bit bigger and to have an adult's only pool (since there was two). The Spa was a nice addition to pool area.
The resort offered hula dancing and necklace making which was fun and enjoyable (Joy, our instructor, was hilarious and inciteful). The distance to the shops was a tad annoying. Just slightly out of walking distance. Ubers are quite expensive on the island. Only realised on the second last day, that there was a free bus 'trolley' service from right outside the wyndham. Would have appreciated knowing that on day one.
All in all, it was a good stay. Thanks!
Not only is the location great for being able to walk back & forth to downtown, which is especially nice after having a few mai tais, but the grounds are stunning! We loved how peaceful & quiet the resort was. Our second week in Hawaii, my husband & I stayed at a condo on the ocean. To be honest, I would take the Wyndham condo over most waterfront condos in the same price range.
The condo is a fantastic size for two couples--it was so nice that we each had our own bathrooms.
Everything inside was clean and well kept.
The employees at the front desk were some of the nicest I have ever dealt with.
Just an FYI-this is a timeshare type resort. I probably read that in some reviews, but made reservations so long ago I don't remember. Upon arrival you will be asked to meet with concierge for activity schedules, etc. We declined & we were never pressured to participate in a timeshare. Because it is a timeshare, we didn't get the exact room we saw in the pictures, but honestly we were 100% satisfied with our room. We were downstairs. After walking the grounds a few times, it appears most have a perk-a-boo ocean view. The condo doesn't have some of the kitchen (spices, ziplocs, foil, etc.) & games, or outside toy amenities like other places I have stayed, but we came prepared. It definitely has what you need (see host amenities).
We will most likely stay here again.
The condo was located in an ideal part Kailua/Kona only two miles away from all the restaurants and stores. All the coffee farms and snorkeling places were close by 10- 30 minutes drive which doesnât feel like it a great distance. It is a timeshare property so it had the basic amenities, you will need to buy your cooking necessities if you plan on cooking, laundry soap, and other things you need. The kitchen is stocked with most appliances like blender, toaster, coffee maker, etc. The rooms and kitchen, and beds and bathrooms were updated. It had a washer and dryer which was helpful. It was very clean. Loved the location where the lanai faced the pool and towards the ocean where you can take in the breeze and eat out there. The Kona Hawaiian Resort were very accommodating in our needs. Wished we couldâve stayed longer. Internet was good but would sometimes drop on us but it didnât interrupt our use of our electronics.
I liked that we were in the first floor where we didnât have to carry our luggage upstairs. This was a really nice place to stay.
The property was clean and comfortable. We loved the lushness of the property. Everyone at the resort was very welcoming and helpful. We loved being so close to Kona! We would definitely recommend and would love to come back!!
