A great place to stay while visiting the area. We went to the Polar Express, snow tubing and the deer farm which are all super close by. The home was exactly as advertised, perfect for me and my family. Kids loved all the games and the true cabin feeling of the stay. We appreciated the cleanliness and everything was well stocked for cooking family dinners.

The house is cute but 15-20 mins from Williams. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape far from town, it’s great. Also, the “master” bedroom is just a loft with curtains to make it private. The description likely states that but I missed it. But overall, a cute place.

We so enjoyed our stay at Sherwood Cabin . A great get away, everything you need this cabin has. Its very comfortable and location is great easy to get to for all the sights to see. Would highly recommend.

Summer mini getaway

Cutest little cabin, made us feel right at home. The kids really loved the variety of board games. It’s in a Perfect location, about a 15-20 minute drive to town. My kids loved exploring the yard, and walking the neighborhood, Communication with the host was great and very fast. We rent a lot of vrbo for staycations and mini vacays and Kevin has been the most responsive host we have ever had. One last thing, the playset outside is for a child a little older, my two year old loved it but struggled a little to climb and play with it. But he did have a great time on it

Very neat cabin in a great setting. One star rating because the entire cabin had strong sewer smell

Arrived at the cabin and was greeted by a stong sewer smell at the door. We opened windows, but the smell was persistent. The family wanted to go a hotel, but it was late, we had been traveling a long time, and we had already spent our money on this place; so we stuck it out. The next morning, l noticed a note in the cabin instruction manuel that said if there was a sewer smell to plug the bathroom sink and tub. We did, but the smell continued. We did everything on the check out list which covered everything except putting new bedding on and cleaning the tub and toilet which we did anyway. Not much to do in the kitchen. The smell kept us from cooking much. Now that is all of the bad. Here is the good. The place is really neat and set up very well. A lot of time has been put into it. Fix the sewer smell and lower the cleaning fee and it would a very strong 4 or 5 star.

The cleaning fee is priced to be comparable to local rates and all funds go to the cleaner as part of the fair wages program. Nice little cabin in the woods!

When we first arrived we were overwhelmed by a glade plug-in smell. My wife and I had a headache within the first 10 minutes from the chemicals so we had to unplug them all. We read the directions for the wood pellet stove and fired it up since it was near freezing temps. The stove worked for about 30 minutes and then shut off for the remaining night into the next day. It was freezing and luckily there were electric heaters so we cozied up the family and watched a movie. We couldn't get the internet to work so I looked on the router and it had a different name then what was listed on the help sheet. Finally got that to work, but we were never able to get the netflix working so we went with good old fashioned dvd's. The owner promptly had someone come over to fix the stove the next morning, a Sunday on a holiday weekend! They got it working and the place got toasty warm real quick. It was a cozy little cabin with a big sized yard for our daughter to play. Overall a nice place for a getaway!

Thank you for your review. We apologize for the glade plug in smell you encountered. The air gets stale when the cabin is shut up for extended periods and the plug ins help with that. We can definitely reduce the number used in the future. We try to plan for every contingency and have a backup option in place. We are glad the space heaters kept the cabin warm while we arranged for the pellet stove repair. We also have a propane generator on site in case the power goes out. Essentials can still be run such as heat and lighting and water. The internet service is spotty at best in our area. We hesitated even getting service at all. We do have Dvds at the cabin so that movies can be watched downstairs or upstairs. We are having the provider out soon to see what improvements can be made. Thank you for your stay and we hope to have you back again soon.

Great relaxing getaway!

We just came back from the Sherwood Forest Cottage. The cottage was very well stocked with everything we could possible need. It was clean and comfortable. We loved the location and were able to visit both Grand Canyon and Sedona in about an hour. We were close to Flagstaff and nice restaurants as well and a short drive into Williams. The property was pretty and our two golden retrievers loved exploring the forest surrounding the cabin. We definitely recommend this place for a nice, relaxing getaway!

Great Stay!

We had a wonderful time staying here! The cabin felt so homey and quaint; it was so lovely. The decor and the little touches were all perfect. Anything we could have possibly needed was available. It is in a great location with easy access to man attractions and stores!

The place was really cozy, clean, and welcoming. The kitchen had good amenities. We had a little trouble with the wine opener, and a dish towel would be handy. We loved the personal touches in the kids bedroom, bathroom, living room. We loved the board game collection too. We enjoyed walking around in the wood. It was a great half way location between the Grand Canyon and Sedona. The host was really attentive to our needs and questions. Thank you for a great stay!

Our cabin is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by tall pine trees. Enjoy the quiet mountain air and dark skies for star viewing. We are on a 1 acre lot, so there is plenty of space to stretch your legs and park your toys for a fun adventure in the forest.
