My husband and I had a wonderful time at this rural location. An amazing pool. Hiking. And Tubac right down the road.We will return. total relaxation with hiking exploring right now by.
Wonderful stay, great location, good hosts, rural in nature and lots going on with the farm animals and working art production. Maybe not for those looking for a hoity-toity luxury spa to brag to their country club friends about, but we find it just right for us. We like the birding, trails, and historic Tumacacori mission practically next door.
The owner was friendly on the phone but not on site. Loved the extra amenities like coffee and cream, however some major bumps. To Cream was severely curdled, to the shower not working. I tried to take bath but it took 2 hours (no joke) to fill and by then it was cold. Low water pressure. I left early as I needed to bath. WiFi never worked. The onsite person said âI donât know the passwordsâ etc. Itâs so close to being great. However tbe issues are BIG ones.
The Casita was comfortable, nice bed. Great to have a kitchen to use during our six night stay. The
only downer was their washing machine was broken. Very nice, friendly people at the property.

Unique and fun
Being located at the end of a dirt road, the directions provided were correct up until the last turn. Our reservations and check-in were all confused, even though we called an hour before arriving. We really enjoyed the rural setting, Anzi trail, Santa Cruz River, local bar, the historic mission, and their wonderful pool. The accommodations were spacious, quiet, and comfortable.
Wifi was spotty and we did find a few fleas in our room.
Cool studio on a unique property. Hosts were very easy to work with. Fresh eggs from their chickens was a nice touch. Only two negatives-be prepared for rooster crowing early in the morning (I always travel with earplugs, so problem solved), and the room had a smoky smell from the fireplace, but it seemed to go away when the window heater unit circulated the air. We never used the fireplace so I'm not sure why it was so strong. We would consider another stay here if we do more exploring in the area.
