Large single story home with a spectacular view of Rio Rico valley. Over 2700 SQFT of living space with lots of amenities. 4 bed 2 bath with two large living areas. Tv's in every bedroom with streaming services. Front yard is fenced in, back yard is not. there is a lot of wild life in the area and come up to the back yard to get a drink of water from our fountain. Ring door bell and cameras on the outside of the house. Please no parties or reunions allowed. House is under constant renovation, some materials may be stored in the garage or on the driveway but rest assured it will have very little impact on your stay.
This house was amazing! Plenty of space, gorgeous views from the back patio, and a communicative owner. Would absolutely stay here again! Neighborhood is very quiet and safe and the chances of seeing wildlife (javelina, deer) is very high. We did have a tarantula visit us nightly on the patio, named him George. He just pops by for a few moments and then goes on his merry way.
This home is beautiful! We gathered from multiple states for a family get together. It was relaxing, the patio is truly amazing. The home is roomy with each family unit having a bedroom, common. Areas provide conservation areas, gaming areas, and an easy to work in kitchen. Everything seemed to be âAlexaâ driven, the owner was always available to help with commands and access to the amenities. The neighborhood was quiet with beautiful views. Highly recommend if youâre in the area.
We came to our nieces wedding at Tubac Golf Course. It was the perfect distance. It wasnât far at all. There was 5 in our group. The view was beautiful. The house was clean and perfect.
The location is beautiful and property matched the listing well. There was some difficulty checking in, but the host was responsive and quick to fix it. The views are amazing, and there is lots of space. We did find some live and dead cockroaches in the common rooms (none in bedrooms). Otherwise, it was very clean. A lot of lights and things are controlled by Alexa, so GenXers and Boomers may struggle to operate some things. It felt a little like staying at the Jetsons' house. Overall, we had a great time and were able to do everything we needed.
SO WELL THOUGHT-OUT⊠AND THOUGHTFUL!! From the rapid phone chargers, to the spacious game room, to the spectacular views, to restaurant suggestions, office corner, state-of-the-art kitchen, beautiful gardens⊠it was perfect for annual summer hiatus this year.
Perfect home for extended stays. Clise to town but private neighborhood. Fully stocked, comfortable beds and no uncomfortable surprises from pictures descriptions. Great communication with the owner.
Absolutely wonderful home! Clean, beautifully decorated, comfy beds, very well equipped kitchen and supplies. Very responsive host who was so kind to check in with us to make sure everything was going well. The sunrise from the backyard was amazing! If youâre visiting the areas make sure you take a drive to Patagonia, then just a little north to Green Valley. We just loved our visit and if I could give 10 stars I would!
I am not sure I have enough room to describe how awesome our stay was. Our group was in town to play golf. The host was very engaged and easy to communicate with. The house was in great condition with fantastic views of the valley. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed to cook breakfast and barbeque for dinner. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were both clean and modern. The home is, perfectly, set up for a small group of family or friends. I rated Casa Rio Rico 5 Stars and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great responsive hosts. Good Internet and Netflix for cold and rainy days! Comfortable beds and great game room with awesome theater seating. The front yard is fenced for the furry friends. It is about an hour south of Tucson but very close to the artisanal town of Tubac, half an hour from Patagonia and 2 hours from the whimsical mining town of Bisbee. The backyard is frequented by foxes, javelina pigs and mule deer:) The De Anza trail is close as well for longer walks with the dogs. The kitchen is well-supplied and gas BBQ was great for changing up the menu!
Weâre seasoned VRBO vets, lol, and found the out-of-town host/owners to be helpful and quickly responsive.
Many good things about this huge casa!
Easy access and checkin instructions
Every kitchen item you could possibly want, including interesting spices. We do a lot of cooking & loved this.
Comfortable master bed in a huge room
Luxurious master bath with 2 sinks & beautiful lighting
Covered patio with party lights, comfy furniture and AMAZING views of several mountain ranges that we hated to leave.
Game room seating is super comfortable after traipsing about all day. This is important to us.
It was fun having Alexa play music in the kitchen, covered patio and master bath.
Suggestion for an easy change: using soft white led lightbulbs (instead of cold white) in the dining/living room & master BR fixtures and lamps would greatly warm up the feel in those rooms.
We loved the visits from javelinas, coyotes, mule deer, quail and many bird varieties!
In search of excellent Mexican food nearby: Bocanitaâs was great for a sit-down meal, and Joeâs Place for delicious carryout. Wisdomâs in Tubac has great margaritas, but unremarkable food â good for happy hour.
The quiet casa is close to beautiful natural areas with everything from easy to difficult hiking opportunities -- Madera Canyon and Patagonia Lake. Kitt peak nearby is open for observatory visits. Plus quite a few more places of interest nearby. Enjoy!
On our arrival day I received a call from Fernando who stated that his cleaning crew had informed him that the electronic gate to the property was not working. He stated he would get in repaired right away. Upon arrival we stowed our groceries in the refrigerator. The next morning we discovered that the refrigerator was not cooling. I called Fernando who said he had previously been a problem with the refrigerator and he would get someone out to repair it ASAP. We were there 2 weeks. About 10 days in, we received a call from Fernando that he was unable to find repair services for either the gate or the refrigerator but that he and his wife were going to come over and do some maintenance. I asked what âmaintenanceâ needed to be done while we were there and objected to the visit unless it was absolutely necessary. To my knowledge they did not come. The non-working refrigerator is obviously a problem. The gate is very large and heavy and is right on a semi-blind curve with no good place to park while opening or closing the gate, so that was sometimes hair-raising. The online listing showed games tables in the front room, but those were not there during our stay. Otherwise, the place was well-appointed and clean. It has nice views.
Good place for a large group, off the beaten path.
Instructions were simple, host was helpful and had great communication.
Some things in the home need fixed, closet door handles missing in one bedroom, toilet paper roll holder off the wall but hardware sticking out, missing smoke detectors in rooms with wires hanging and/or detector dangling off the wall). The water faucets are backward..it took a while to figure out how to get hot water in the guest bathroom/shower and kitchen. These things did not bother us and were minor, but should be noted to the owner for future maintenance (maybe the housekeepers aren't relaying the issues to him?).
Admittedly, we did not stay at the house at all during the day. We left early each morning and did not return other than to sleep in the late evening, so we truly didn't get to enjoy any of the amenities the home had to offer (and there are great ones!). We did spot deer in the back one night which was pretty great and looked at the stars with the telescope. We definitely recommend the home!
My sister and I relished every minute of our long "girls' weekend" stay. If you like being away from the noise and crowds of the city, this is the place for you. The house is awesome, the beds and furniture very comfy, the kitchen well stocked and large enough for elaborate home-cooked meals if that's your thing. The host, Fernando, was very kind and easy to talk to and very responsive. We'll be checking for availability on this little slice of heaven the next time we're in the area!
