Upstairs, the cottage continues its storybook charm. The family bathroom features a bath tucked neatly under the eaves, adding to the cottage’s character. There are two bedrooms on this floor: one with a small double bed set beneath a beamed ceiling, and a twin room, also with exposed beams and Velux windows that fill the space with natural light.

The town’s iconic abbey ruins stand proudly atop the East Cliff, reached by the famous 199 steps, and offer breathtaking views across the harbour and out to sea. Below, Whitby’s working harbour is full of character, with fishing boats, pleasure cruises, and a lively atmosphere.
