Spent a great 6 days in the beautiful Whitby the 200 year old cottage is ideally situated to wonder the town. Couple of local pubs within one minute and the town 5 mins walk Perfect will definitely be back
This was a charming place, reflective of the history of Whitby. Directions for finding the unit, and for parking were very helpful. The host was very responsive to our one problem, lack of hot water on arrival. The steep spiral stairs were a bit of a challenge for the 2 80-year olds in our group, but we were careful, and the youngster, 50-year old, helped with the luggage. We would stay there again in a flash.
We had a great stay in Whitby. This quaint apartment was the perfect place to retreat to at the end of the day. Beds were comfortable and the cupboards adequately stocked to cook in if you ever wanted to. This apartment is walking distance to everything you need to see in Whitby. Lovely pub just as you turn left at the street. Had a lovely time chatting with the owner one afternoon.
Cosy and quaint interior. Welcome pack for our dogs excellent idea. Everything provided like your own home.
Computer games and board games provided.
Very near to centre of town. 24 hour carpark at fleet pub.
Beds comfortable. Lots of towels provided.
I would recommend this cottage to everyone. I would love to stay here again.
A special stay away for us over the new year without kids ( a first for over 20 years ). First time Whitby visitors also with limited knowledge of this wonderful coast. The cottage lived up to its description and was perfect for us, compact but with clever touches so if 4 occupants would work fine ( only two of us on this stay). Stairs not an issue for us but anyone with mobility issues would struggle. Car parking was near impossible BUT probably one of busiest weekends in the year and we did manage to park up and then just left car for remains of weekend. Arriving in the dark and pouring rain wasnât made easy by absence of parking but as suggested hazards on and just unloaded baggage and scooted off. For winter stays the central heating was perfect and controllable. Hosts were communicative, we didnât have cause to speak once arrived but there seemed to be direct contact details. Also the cottage had a good âuser manualâ with details on the cottage and local area. All in all a really lovely stay love Whitby and sun came out to allow a wonderful if muddy coastal walk to Robin Hood bay incl bus journey back which was perfect. Thanks to our hosts and no reservation in recommending to friends and family, well done.
A wonderful property from which to explore the town and neighbouring countryside. In particular for us, to be able to spend time around the harbour and up at the abbey outside of the usual tourist hours was quite magical.
Just returned from a wonderful 4 day walking holiday in Whitby. The cottage is ideally located overlooking the harbour and within a short walking distance to the centre of the town. The cottage itself was a lovely quirky place to stay and we absolutely loved it and would definitely stay again if we return to Whitby some time in the future.
A delightful little property (big enough for 4). Our daughters happily watched their tv
In their rooms which was good as it would have been a little cramped for 4 to comfortably watch tv in the lounge of an evening but hey thatâs not what a holiday is about!
The property was spotless on arrival and well equipped.
The only issue was the parking - there is on street parking or a paid car park close by but availability was very difficult at both - not the owners fault but the description of âparkingâ in the initial property description didnât make this completely clear.
We managed to park within half a mile on roads behind the property after a bit of driving around each evening which wasnât a huge issue for us but may be worse for an elderly family or those with any disabilities with the hills/steps to walk from the car.
Thank you overall for a lovely property for a stay in lovely Whitby.
Fantastic quirky fishermanâs cottage over 3 floors,
Loads of charm. Great views from the top bedroom. Dogs made to feel extremely welcome, own suitcases of surprises.
Great location, 5 mins walk into town. 10 mins walk to the abbey.
The property was perfect for 4 people, everything we could need was provided, and the location was perfect for easy access to all of the Whitby places of interest
We had a lovely stay in Whitby cute, clean cottage. Well equipped with just what you would need for a short stay. Love the dog treats suitcase. Great stay thanks
We chose this delightful cottage because we enjoy spending time on the coast, particularly in Whitby. There are spectacular views from the attic of the swing bridge and the Esk River bridge, with the moors beyond, hence the name. It is ideally situated on the East side of the river with great access to all that the town has to offer.
