Step outside and you're immediately immersed in some of the finest mountain terrain in the Alps. Scenic peaks like Spitzige Lun, Tellakopf, Watles and Glurnser Köpfl offer stunning panoramas for all levels of hiker. More ambitious alpinists will find their match in the Sesvenna Group or the legendary Ortler massif — one of the most dramatic high-alpine areas in the entire Alps.

Along the way, traditional mountain huts (Almen) invite you to stop for a cold drink or a hearty meal with a view. Cyclists and mountain bikers are equally well catered for — choose between technical singletrack in the hills or the scenic paved bike path that stretches all the way to Merano.

Winter in the Vinschgau is just as spectacular. The apartment sits right in the heart of the snow-sure 2-Country Ski Arena, spanning from Reschenpass to the Ortler glacier. With over 200 km of pistes between 1,400 m and 3,200 m elevation, there's plenty to keep skiers and snowboarders busy for a week.

Even in summer, the Stilfserjoch (Stelvio) glacier offers year-round skiing for those who can't get enough of the snow. Cross-country enthusiasts will love the groomed tracks at the Schlinig Nordic Centre, while ski tourers and snowshoers have an almost endless network of routes to explore.
