I booked and paid for this room several months before my trip. My group of 6 planned to stay in Naples, near the airport, the last night before our early flight home to the USA. I never heard from the host but wasn't concerned because it was just for the one night; however, two days before our stay I began messaging the host via VRBO App but he never responded to any messages. I finally received the email for check-in instructions so I was able to secure a driver to the property address. When we arrived, the neighborhood was "sketchy" and the place was not well marked. I had to call the host on my phone-with no phone plan for Italy-- he let us inside the building and sent down a girl who spoke no English-I think she was one of the cleaners for the property. The host had her on the phone and basically told her we did not have a reservation and VRBO had made a mistake. He told us, via translated text message from the girls phone, to please leave his property, we would not be staying there. I had my confirmation, my receipt of payment, and email from host with the check-in
