La maison verte a été décrite comme: un endroit très spécial, serein et magnifique, une évasion parfaite de la vie urbaine, des paysages et des vues incroyables, un décor magnifique, paisible et élégant, un endroit que nous ne voulons pas quitter, beaucoup plus beau que le Photos, nos chiens pensent qu'ils sont au paradis, mieux que je n'aurais pu l'imaginer, un endroit où nous revenons pour voir dès que possible! Vous devez le voir pour le croire et nous espérons que vous le ferez!

La propriété accueille 70 acres avec des tonnes de sentiers pour la randonnée et toujours des couchers de soleil incroyables sur les Blue Ridge Mountains. Le chalet a tout ce dont vous avez besoin de linge de maison aux savons de base de cuisine. Super endroit pour se détendre et revenir à la nature avec la famille ou profiter d'une grande escapade romantique ou des vignobles de tournée week-end amusant! Seulement 20 minutes du centre-ville Mt. Airy mais loin de tout!

Le chalet est situé surplombant un magnifique terrain ouvert avec une vue dynamique de la montagne de Fiddler. La cuisine est entièrement équipée avec tous les outils dont vous aurez besoin pour cuisiner. La salle de bain a aussi un sauna qui est incroyable !! Les portes-fenêtres de la salle à manger s'ouvrent sur un grand foyer extérieur. Nous gardons stocké avec du bois de chauffage et n'hésitez pas à apporter plus! Il y a deux chambres et une salle de jeu / zone de couchage pour plus d'espace.

Absolute heaven!

Just me and my dog on this trip and I was blown away by the beauty of this property. The only picture to do it justice is the one in my mind. My girl got to run free and we played in the river hours on end. Enjoyed walking the property and simply unplug for two of the most fun filled relaxing days Ive had in a very long time. The cottage is a total vibe with eclectic vintage furniture and homey feel! I hope to visit again!

Perfect stop off 77 southbound

Spent the night en route to Lake Lure, proved to be just what we were looking for - easy to find + in & out of the property was a breeze, amenities are nice & the space is comfortable. We had our two pups with us, was fantastic they were welcome. Arrived too late for a visit to the winery, however in the morning we walked down to the river and drove up to see the facility, top notch. A + experience and Melissa was super to work with!

Not nearly as nice as the pictures

I had to reach out via messenger, phone call and text to confirm our reservation. Communication about check in is important especially when traveling with animals. The home smelled gross as if nobody had stayed there in months. There were wasps inside upon entry. The outside was very unkept, tall grass, wobbly stepping stones. The basement where the washer and dryer was had rodent traps and droppings all around. Overall the pictures glorified the home and property, I was hoping for a more of a comfortable stay. The updated bathroom and outdoor tub were as pictured and a very nice touch.

VERY remote but peaceful!

The house was very clean and comfortable! It is considerably more remote than we anticipated. Driving down the gravel road at night was a bit of a challenge, but all in all, we enjoyed our stay!

The greenhouse was great!

We really enjoyed our weekend at the greenhouse. The house is so well-equipped and comfortable. It is off the beaten path, but that's what we enjoyed most! Peace and quiet and a place to let our little dachshunds run around! Such a cool renovation, too. Thanks!

Fantastic stay

We had such a good time staying at this property. The house is great with lots of windows and light that let you see all of the beautiful scenery in every direction. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Mostof all it was fun to see how much our dogs enjoyed being there and hiking the property. We have already made a reservation to return.

Peaceful stay

Being a guest in this home was a nice experience.. I had communication, with a little creativity with phone / WiFi with the host, Melissa. I have vacay rental as well so other than that would not worry about disconnecting for the weekend I had questions and she answered them and most helpful is a guide to the home. We had no trouble navigating the path to the cottage with our vehicle. The space is very well stocked and even had a coffee grinder. Condiments available in frig and cabinets. Great utensils and variety of pans. Beds were very comfy. My grandson said he hatedto leave the comfortable bed in the 2nd bedroom. Our grand dog was able to come too and loved the smells and the river, and chasing his bone in the yard. We took walks to the river daily but did not get in as the currents were fast and did not know how deep. It is a rock ledge to step on but then you would need to jump in. There was also poison oak and ivy that has grown in the pathway and is tall.. we didn’t want the dog to get in it. It’s a great place to roam though. We would definitely return and take more time to explore further and enjoy the house. It’s a great space. We got a visit from the black kitty. The fireflies were out both nights and one of the nights it was clear, we had the most beautiful stargazing from the porch. It was very relaxing. Hated having to leave!

The Greenhouse was perfect for me, my husband and our dogs. Although the house isn’t big, we had plenty of room indoors and wow, what an outdoors we had! The dogs loved being able to roam around outside and then come inside and lay on their beds in front of that fabulous living room window. As for the humans, we loved the bathroom. In previous vacation rentals we have had less than stellar showers but this one is great. The master bedroom was decorated nicely. The bed was a little softer than we like but it was still comfortable. As for the area, we enjoyed spending time in Mt. Airy. We would recommend Mi Casa on Main for tacos, Bark and Meow for really big dog treats, Mill Creek General Store for snacks and deli food. We enjoyed learning about whiskey at Mayberry Distillery and drove over to Elkin for lunch at Southern on Main and wine tasting at Slightly Askew Winery. Next trip we want to visit Round Peak Vineyard/Skull Camp Brewery which is close to the house. We are looking forward to returning soon.

Great location to recharge!

This small but well appointed cabin has everything you need to have a relaxing stay in a beautiful location. It's a good jumping off point for the Yadkin Valley wine country, but you may find yourself just wanting to stay put, read a book, and enjoy the view. If you have dogs, they will think they have died and gone to heaven. Melissa was very responsive to any questions that we had.

We are a family of 6 - 2 parents, 3 kids and one little dog. We love our home away from home in Mt. Airy and hope you will too!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Unwind and relax. You are also close enough to several wineries (including ours SerreVineyards.com) and downtown Mt. Airy and Elkin where you can enjoy shopping, restaurants, etc. It is pretty awesome to stop by a winery on your way back to the cottage for a relaxing evening by the outdoor fire pit or indoor fireplace!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

There are not many places like The Greenhouse. It is a small slice of heaven. You can spend all day hiking the property and still not see it all. Wading in the river, climbing trees, meandering through the field and soaking in the sunset. There is really nothing like it. AND THEN: If you are lucky enough to get a night with very little moonlight, you will have an amazing star show. Take a blanket outside and just look up. If you can book a trip in May - June, you will also get to enjoy the most amazing firefly show. There are thousands of them and the light up the sky, bushes and trees from dusk til dawn. Truly magical!
