Family getaway

We arrived on Memorial Day. We were nervous about having such a late checkin, but to our delight our room was ready at 1:30. We were able to go directly to our condo and begin enjoying the pool and beach. The condo was clean and in good condition. This was our 5th visit to aqua and we have never been disappointed.

So clean, well decorated, very comfortable and we love the size of the balcony. The view is always great and we are high up enough we don’t hear the sound of the noise in the road below. Also, the location is very convenient to Pier Park, Wal-Mart and Target. We have stayed at Aqua Beach several times in the past, but 2208 has been the best by far!!

Reviewer Comments: We always stay at aqua- normally 2 times a year- we stay in whatever unit is available- never had a bad experience-this unit looks recently renovated- my only issue was the bright white LED bulbs everywhere- felt like a doctors office- would switch all bulbs to a warm white- other than that it was perfect-comes with free beach chairs, kitchen stocked,awesome view,will be back soon! Thanks aqua staff!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was absolutely perfect! It was very clean and updated. Being up 22 floors can be scary if you are afraid of heights, but it gives you a better view of the beach! We had a great week down in Panama City. The only negative was half of the elevators weren’t working. Checking into the room requires patience. You will wait 30min for an elevator.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo clean and well equipped. Maintenance issues addressed and resolved promptly. Only issue that I have is it seems increasingly there are too many things being refreshed/ worked on during the time we are there. I understand off season...... but over a month with no pool and hot tub really diminishes the experience significantly. It seems each season there is something. One year fumes from painting was really strong and disruptive. Also price keeps going up.....I understand everything is however.....seems each year extra add on charges increase and appear that are new. Which has increased the price considerably in the years we have been repeat renters.

One and Done

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The room was fabulous. The view from the 22nd floor was exquisite. Since we flew, we were, thankfully, able to check in around 11 am on Wednesday morning. Unfortunately, because we had flights late Sunday night, the 9 am checkout was NOT flexible. We were NOT allowed to store our luggage. Fortunately, we were able to change our flights on Sunday to 10:55 am. Another issue were the beach chairs. While a sign was posted "NO tents in front of the chairs, this rule was not enforced... as one of the boys in the rental booth stated "it's only a suggestion". If you did not bring your own chairs and umbrellas to the beach (which had to be down before 7 am) and chose to rent the provided chairs and umbrella, your sight line of the beach was greatly diminished due to the "brought or bought" chairs / umbrellas / tents. Of all my visits to PCB, I have NEVER experienced the provided / paid for chairs / umbrellas "pushed aside" as they were at Aqua. I did notice the Hyatt placed the provided / paid for chairs and umbrellas on the shore line which forced the "brought / bought" chairs behind the provided chairs and umbrellas. Also, the company that provided the chairs / umbrellas, Aquatic Adventures, showed absolutely NO respect for the beach. There were orange rubber bands (which were supposed to be around the umbrellas to keep them closed) strown all over the beach. Apparently if a rubber band broke, you just left it in the sand. If an intact rubber band fell on the beach, you left it.I found the broken and intact rubber bands all over the sand in front of Aqua. There was even an intact rubber band in the ocean, intertwined with sea weed.... could be very detrimental to the marine life. There was also an "out of order" elevator the whole time we were there, plus one of the elevators had no air. I am one and done with Aqua.

Parking and access to the building was easy. Very close to Pier Park and we were able to sit on the 22nd floor balcony and see a spectacular firework show.

Waiting on vacation!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very disappointed! I understand that things break, but to have two of the four elevators down was not acceptable. We spent a big portion of time waiting on elevators. We used the stairs a lot going down, but being that we stayed on the 22nd level, it was difficult to go up 18 to 21 flights of stairs!

The Condo Management aren’t authorized to get the elevators repaired. I simply wouldn’t stay here again because of the elevator issues.
