à propos de cet hébergement
Traditional Bath House, Garden with City Views
Summary:
This charming Victorian terrace in Bath, built in 1890 from traditional Bath stone, sits on a quintessential Bath street. Full of original features like fireplaces & wooden floorboards, it offers a peaceful retreat just moments from the city centre. Downstairs, enjoy a well-equipped kitchen, dining room & cosy lounge with smart TV & sofa bed. Upstairs, a double & twin room share a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower & toilet, plus separate WC. Outside, relax on the decking with skyline views.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the whole house and garden.
The Neighborhood:
The house is situated on a picturesque terrace of traditional Bath stone. It gets the best of both worlds, being on a quiet and peaceful street but only a stone's throw from the city centre. Plus, the new Quays Bridge means you can enjoy a walk along the Avon river into the centre, rather than along the main road!
Bath is known for being one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, with its quintessential Georgian architecture and stunning surrounding countryside. Tucked away on cobbled lanes, itâs hard to resist stopping in at artisan shops, trendy cafĂ©s and characterful pubs. The UNESCO-approved Roman Baths, some of the best in the world of their kind, will be the first stop on any tour and are just a 15-minute walk away from the house. Take a guided tour of the underground springs and vaults or enjoy a Thermae spa treatment and swim in the rooftop pool with skyline views.
You could easily spend days exploring this wonderful city: head to the Jane Austen Centre, the famous Royal Crescent, the Holburne Museum of Art and Sydney Gardens to name a few. If you want to travel further, Prior Park Landscape Gardens is only an 8-minute drive away. The house is also convenient for live rugby, with Bathâs stadium less than 25 minutes walk away.
More information on local activities can be found in the comprehensive guest guide.
Getting Around:
The best way to explore Bath is by foot, and many of the local amenities are within a short walking distance from the house. You can easily reach the city by train, with local services running all over the country throughout the day. It is just over an hour from London Paddington and 30 minutes from Bristol. The station is about a 15-minute walk from the house through the city centre. The property also has rear access to the garden so you can easily bring bikes in.
If you do bring a vehicle, we can provide visitor permits for on-street parking a cost of ÂŁ5/day.
Interaction with Guests:
We will be available via message, email and phone during your stay. Any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
