Alana Bay - a beautiful meadow lodge at The Bay Filey

Alana Bay is situated on Discovery Way, within the meadows development on The Bay.

Enter through the side door into the spacious open plan living area. To the right is the large kitchen with all the appliances you need - hob, oven, microwave, washer-dryer, dishwasher and tassimo coffee machine. To the left is the dining space. And in front, is the living room with 2 sofas, an arm chair, coffee table, log burner and TV/DVD.

From the living space, there are large bifold doors onto the deck, ideal for catching the morning sun. Fully enclosed by a perspex screen and wooden balustrade, this makes the deck child-friendly and safe for small dogs.

Down the hall, there are two bedrooms. Master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite wet room room, and second bedroom with a double bed plus a guest bed for the 5th guest (child only) if required. Ensuite with bath tub and shower.

Off-road parking for 1 car and other spaces on Woodspring Way nearby.

Best stay

Wonderful lodge, well looked after and ideal for someone with limited mobility. The addition of a log burner is perfect made it really homely, it’s a place we would return to.

Lovely property in great location

We found Alana Bay to be bright, clean and modern. All the facilities were in great condition. The living space was very spacious and well equipped. We loved the location on the Meadows as it was quiet and great for dog walks. The property is only around a 10-15 minute walk down to the beach or 5 minutes from the facilities.

Really lovely luxury lodge

Very comfortable spacious lodge. Nice interior touches make it a cut above. Location is central at the top of the meadows behind the lake. Comfortable beds, multiple balcony areas to catch the sun. Everything we needed

Great time had by all.

In general excellent spacious accommodation, great location and facilities. Very well equipped with everything you need. If I was been picky would like somewhere to put you toiletries in the shower, the tiles on the wet room shower need some attention, a pouffee or foot stool would be a great addition. Would recommend and hope for a return visit. Booking and check in were excellent.

Family Holiday

We holiday at The Bay every year and this is the best beach house we have stayed in. Location was fantastic, very spacious and clean. Paula was great in keeping in touch from booking to our departure. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic accommodation and location

The lodge was spotless. Beds comfortable. Had a problem with the drain to the shower which was dealt with straight away. Our daughter is in a wheelchair and there was plenty of space. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

First Visit definitely not the last

Quick break away - never been to this area but the site and accommodation are first class. Very clean lodge in good location. Paula very helpful and kept us well informed before and after arrival. Definitely will return.

Lovely accommodation

Really nice lodge, with lots of homely touches, dish washer and washer, the enclosed deck was great as my granddaughter could play out and not escape. We asked re a bed guard and the manager got one for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Would stay again

Amazing stay at Alana Bay

I've been coming to The Bay for years with my dogs, and always struggled with the lack of enclosed garden space across many of the properties. It never stopped me going, was just one of those things I put up with! Alana Bay address's this problem as the front decking area has had clear Perspex added between the gaps of the decking fencing so is completely enclosed. As a dog owner to little dogs, I've been to many places where it has been advertised as dog friendly to find fences with big gaps so this was a breath of fresh air to be able to let the dogs out with no worries. Inside the accommodation also did not disappoint. Well equipped kitchen, full size fridge/freezer, big bedrooms, a bathroom with a bath (which is a luxury to me as I'm not a massive shower person!) and then a lovely shower room en-suite with a big shower, which I imagine of you like showers would be luxury. Will definitely be booking again and very much looking forward to my next stay.

A well needed break

Just had 11 nights at Alana bay lodge and the weather was lovely. Lodge is very comfortable and the enclosed front decking is a great idea when you have a dog. The only downside is the gravel road which is constantly leaving white dust over all the cars and covers your shoes when walking back to the lodge. Will still return for another stay later in the year .

Overall - Very Good

Very nice accommodation, very well equipped for the stay. Front balcony is enclosed which is a great idea as it leads onto the road. Things to improve would be: - tea towel, washing up utensils/liquid, fair enough only 1 dishwasher tablet provided but it is expecting a lot to bring a full washing up set up, would make keeping the lodge clean easier. - state what type of coffee machine it is so coffee pods can be bought in advance. - more cooking trays, especially pizza trays as this must be a very common thing cooked. These are minor things but overall was very good.
