This beautiful coastal home provides reverse living to take advantage of the superb views and is just over 0.5 miles from the sandy beach â ideal if youâre bringing four-legged friends with you. Unwind and recharge in this exclusive cul-de-sac close to a variety of restaurants, as well as a deli and cafe, all a level walk along the seafront. Take a stroll, watch the sun set or take the passenger ferry (which runs in the summer) across to Appledore with its quay and âdrangwaysâ (alleyways). Whatever you choose, the area caters for all: walk or cycle the traffic free Tarka Trail which runs through the village, or book surfing lessons at Westward Ho! (5 miles). Family attractions, The Big Sheep (5 miles) and The Milky Way (12 miles) are great wet-day activities. Visit privately owned Clovelly (15 miles) with its steep cobbled streets, or the gardens at Tapeley Park or RHS Rosemoor both offer quiet contemplation and both are within 8 miles.
This contemporary seaside home offers a warm welcome at any time of year and its easily accessible location close to the beach makes it an ideal choice for families. Entering into the hallway, there is ample space for coats and shoes. The sleeping accommodation is all on this ground floor and there are four bedrooms in total: 2 king-size rooms (one of which has a Smart TV and both with en-suite shower rooms with WCs), a twin room, and a zip-and-link twin room (which can be made into a super-king-size on request at the time of booking). The family bathroom completes the ground floor accommodation and has a freestanding bath, separate shower and WC. Head up the stairs where a half landing offers access to the rear garden. Continue upwards and you find yourself in the stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, complete with a feature media wall with a large Smart TV and wide electric living flame log fire below with a wide cushioned seating area either side. This area is bright and airy with large windows and sky lights, and bi-folding doors open onto a decked balcony with seating. The dining area has a large table with seating for everyone and the stylish kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The island unit incorporates a breakfast bar and stools â a great spot for a morning coffee whilst gazing out at the views. Well designed and fitted, the kitchen includes a plethora of handy mod cons. Heading outside via the doors on the half landing, which lead across a decked bridge to the higher level lawn area, patio and purpose-built garden games room, you will find a games table and garden furniture. The lower courtyard, which is accessed down the external metal steps from the decked bridge, offers additional space to sit and relax in your own private hot tub. Here, you will also find an outdoor hot shower â ideal for using before and after entering the hot tub but also great for washing off sandy toes or paws after a trip to the beach. To the front is an integral storage area ideal for surfboards, bikes or pushchairs. Ample off-road parking for four cars and use of an electric car charging point (no extra charge).
