Great location. Cabin was just the right size for the three of us. It's within walking distance of the Titanic Musuem and other attractions. A big plus, it's dog friendly.
home was filthy, loaded when dog hair, hot tub had an inch of slim and filled with hair. Owner said sheâd send maid but never did and wouldnât reply. Dirty blood stained bedding. Sheets were not washed between tenants. Mold on bathroom ceiling. Bathroom door wouldnât open because of hump in floor. Sharp metal trim on stair a
The cabin was beautiful feom the outside, the inside was also , but once we got to have a sit down and actually look I cringed. I have a dog which I travel with, me being a pet owner I deal with dog hair, but the couch had so much hair on it that it made me sick to my stomach. Iâm not sure if the cleaners donât vacuum it or what. Also the area rug thatâs in the living room area was also covered in dog hair, Iâm talking I couldâve shaved the rug and the couch and made a whole dog with it . When tiu flushed the toilet up stairs it leaked thru the ceiling and hit the toilet down stairs. The hot tub didnt get that hot also. The bathroom door wouldnât latch when you closed it, neither did the bedroom door . It was an okay stay for 3 nights but not a place Iâd stay again. I felt dirty the entire stay, to the point I covered the chairs and the couch with sheets and blankets while I was there . The cleaners should definitely do a good cleaning on that couch and rug. I have a 18 month old baby and it was so hard keeping him off the floor the entire stay.
The cabin was very clean. Kitchen cabinets were well stocked with everything we needed when cooking. Great location too. Cabin was a great size for four guest. We had a wonderful time!!
The location is great! We stayed here for a girls trip in November, itâs very convenient to shopping and restaurants! Itâs a cozy cabin that has everything you need. The area felt safe as well. Would stay here again!
Easy to get to everything, but still quiet. We truly enjoyed our stay. Cabin decor was perfect & we loved the Christmas touches. There were quite a few stink bugs throughout, but cleanliness good. It was the perfect size for us. Just be aware this cabin has some "tiny home" features: stove/oven, dishwasher, living room furniture
We loved our stay! Cabin was in the perfect location, close proximity to everything Pigeon Forge has to offer. Cabin is very cozy. Easy access from the Parkway into the development. Love that they are dog friendly, since the fur babies go wherever we go. Enjoyed the early sunrises and evening sunsets of the Smokies. This is the second time that we have rented off of the Hunters & will def be back again.
I had paid in full right up until just before time to be there. Had also bought conference tickets, which is the reason we were going there.
We had an unexpected death in our family 2 days before we were to check in.
Owner would not even talk to me about a partial refund. He said he lost money because he couldnât rent for that weekend, but we had paid him in full whether we were there or not. So he didnât lose any money on the rent, and actually made money because the cleaning fee was included in what we paid, and there was no cleaning needed.
The funeral was the very weekend we were supposed to be there. We would not have paid that much money if we werenât coming.
The owner said a refund was up to VRBO.
VRBO told me a refund was up to the owner, so he is dishonest and not the least bit empathetic or easy to work with.
I will not recommend Jim and Ellen Hunterâs properties to anyone.
My family has an Airbnb, ranked at the top, and we would never treat a renter of our property this way.
Everything was ok, But the two recliners and the futon need to be replaced. My son-in-law is a good sized man the recliners were out of the question for him to set. The futon is wore out. Wished it had updated couch and loveseat. That would be the only reason not to recommend the cabin.
The cabin itself is located right off the parkway and very close to restaurants, grocery, attractions, etc. When we checked in, we let the owner know the bedroom remote was missing, some of the outlets needed attention, and there were scratches on the doors. The owners were very responsive and said they would have housekeeping address the issues. Fast forward to our last day. It rained hard all day. We planned to go out and explore some of the inside activities the area had to offer. I went in the downstairs bathroom and realized there was water coming through the ceiling. I went up to check the upstairs bathroom, more water coming through the roof. We gathered towels, pots, pans, bowls and tried to contain as much water as possible. I immediately notified the owner who was very appreciative and said they would have maintenance fix after our stay. Here's where everything goes south. With the amount of water coming in, we couldn't just leave the cabin and assume the bowls and pots would contain the water. We stayed and throughout the day emptied the water and dried towels so we could get up more water. After checkout, I sent a text to the owners letting them know we were leaving the bowls and towels in place so that maintenance would know where the water was coming from. I also asked for a partial last day refund as I felt the day was spent caring for the cottage not enjoying my vacation. Absolutely no response. A very disappointing way to end vacation.
