Oh they went beyond our expectations it felt like home, picked us up from the train station, had us up on their roof top to enjoy a glass of wine and even took us on a Tuscany wine tour.

An amazing stay!

We had the best time during our short stay in Siena. Our hosts were great! Picked us up from the train station, answered all of our questions, gave us good recommendations for dinner, made sure we were comfortable in our stay & even drove us to pick up our rental car! We couldn't have asked for more. Not to mention the location was ideal also! Would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!

We loved our stay in Siena. The apartment was very comfortable. Sima & Marco were fantastic hosts. I highly recommend staying in this lovely apartment in old Siena. Beautiful!

Great Location and Excellent Hosts

Located right in the heart of the old city a few 100 meters from the Campo. Simonetta and Marco were excellent hosts with good recommendations for restaurants and very helpful. Highly Recommended!

Wonderful apartment with amazing hosts!

We loved the large, comfortable, clean apartment in a great location in Siena, only a few minutes walk from Il Campo, as well as the bus station. Marco was kind enough to transport us to and from the train. He and Simonetta were very welcoming. We almost felt like we could live like locals in the neighborhood.We would love to stay there again and highly recommend it to others. Grazie Mille, Simonetta and Marco!

peaceful, lovely and above all, excellent hosts

Located in old town, right near the lovely lovely shops and main piazza of town. 500 year old apartment that is lovingly and sympathetically updated. Fully equipped, perfect for two people. Hosts are out of this world! Marco picked us up/returned us to our train and even hosted us for wine and conversation the night before we left. Highly recommend.

In the heart of Siena

The apartment is an excellent location to see all the sites. Our hosts, Simonetta & Marco are very thoughtful people who value good customer service. They helped us feel at home in their city and thoughtful touches such as robes, candies, coffee & tea helped us feel comfortable right away. We highly recommend a stay in this lovely apartment decorated with some beautiful family antique furniture.

It is a 4 floor walk up, as someone reminded us, “there are no elevators, anywhere in old Sienna!” But our kind host hauled our suitcase up the stairway. Sienna is so beautiful and a great walk around city. The shops are fun and do tend to stay open in the afternoon for tourists. There is no AC and it was Hot! Windows need to stay open for cooling at night and the streets stay active most hours. Delivery trucks and trash pick ups start early So bring big your ear plugs. Sienna definitely is a highlight and there isn’t a much better location!

So wonderful and welcoming!

Simonetta and Marco were the most gracious hosts. As I was driving in, Marco met me at the city gate and escorted me to the parking space they had for me. I was so grateful because I know my GPS would have sworn at me had I attempted it on my own. They were so kind, truly genuine. The flat was wonderful and so much light! A perfect base in which to explore the history and depth of Siena. Thank you!

Wonderful

Thank you Simonetta and Marco : you were very friendly and welcoming with our family. It was very nice to meet you... The appartment is very well located, just near the campo but also on a quiet place. Your parking is very usefull and it was very very kind to carry our many and heavy luggage directly from there to your appartment, despite the many steps... Unfortunately, our sienna experience was too short. Thus, we'll be back !!

Nice loft and sweet owner

Hi we are Francesca and Jhon Vigni, in september we visited Siena, and we staied at Casa della Madonna, a very nice appartament: the owner, Simonetta, is an architect and she realized the restructuration pf this ancient building: the the house is very very nice and inside we found all we need for the first day, both linen, towels and soaps. Simonetta was very very kind and helpfull and she also reserved for us the tikets for a splemdid tourist visit to the Duomo of Siena. The appartament is in the heart of medieval center of the city and has a private parking for the car, so you arrive near it by car. if we will come back to Siena is here that we will go!

hi Francesca, many thanks for your review! The satisfaction of my guests is my primary target. I love this house and i love this job, becouse i can take care of all my guests and make feel them at home (or better i can try to do it). I exspecially love the terrace: from there you fill the heart of Siena, expecially in the night: for this reason i often organize afterhours in my terrace, to make fell this power to my guest; the magic of this ancient city and the passion of his people.

Experience Il Palio as a local -this is THE place!

Wow! Simonetta and Marco are the best hosts ever! We visited Siena for the first Il Palio of 2014 and hoped to experience something of the local excitement. Little did we know that our hosts would take us under their wing as introduce us to the fascinating history of the famous race. We were taken to dinner with Simonetta's Contrada, given the opportunity to view the lead up races from a very special vantage point, introduced to their family and friends, shared coffee and meals and also enjoyed drinks on their fabulous terrace (not part of the rented accommodation) and really felt the excitement of the unique Siena community during Il Palio. A priceless and unforgettable experience... We felt so privileged to have met such enthusiastic and charming hosts and soaked up all their great tips for nearby attractions as well. Never intrusive - Simonetta and Marco just went above and beyond to show show Siena to an appreciative audience. The apartment is very centrally located, spacious, characteristic and well appointed with all the amenities you need including capsule coffee maker and kitchen utensils. A little noisy during Il Palio, but so is anywhere in centro satori co with drummers, locals singing and celebrating - isn't that part of the charm? The parking was a rare bonus and allowed us to easily venture out to the beautiful mountain villages. If you want to live as a local during Il Palio, stop looking and book this apartment!

thanks for your beautiful words. For us it is very important to explain that the Palio and the Contrada are not something for tourism. For the Senesi, the Palio is within us, it is part of our lives. These things are not written in the guidebooks, so we like to make people understand this and it is very nice when people like you appreciate it.

Past and present in the heart of Siena

Hélène and Christophe, Bordeaux, France. Nous avons passé deux nuits dans l'appartement de la Casa della Madonna. L'appartement est spacieux (il est assez grand pour notre famille de 5 personnes, dont 3 enfants/adolescents), très bien équipé (cuisine, lave-linge, wifi), superbement décoré et idéalement situé dans le centre ville, à quelques minutes de la Piazza del Campo. Une place de parking est mise à disposition par les propriétaires non loin de l'appartement. Les propriétaires, Simonetta et Marco, sont parfaits à tous les points de vue: ils vous conduisent à l'appartement à votre arrivée et vous reconduisent à votre départ. Ils vous font partager l'amour de leur ville et de leur immeuble, construit au XVIe siècle. C'est une location idéale pour tous ceux qui veulent visiter le centre historique tout en vivant au rythme des pulsations de la cité, le jour comme la nuit. C'est l'amalgame parfait entre le passé et le présent. Nous espérons pouvoir y revenir un jour. We spent two nights in the apartment called the Casa della Madonna. The apartment is spacious (it is enough for our family of 5 people, among which 3 children/teenagers), very well equipped (kitchen, washing machine, WiFi), magnificently decorated and ideally situated in the city center, a few minutes away from the Piazza del Campo. A parking space is proposed by the owners not far from the apartment. The owners, Simonetta and Marco, are perfect in all the points of view: they drive you to the apartment upon your arrival and take you back at the time of your departure. They share with you love of their city and their building, built in the XVIth century. It is an ideal rent for all those who want to visit the historic center while living by the pulsations of the city, in the daytime as at night. It’s the perfect mix between past and present. We hope we can return there one day.

Simonetta and Marco couldn't have been nicer- Marco even delivered us to the train station back and forth! The apartment was roomy, clean & gorgeous. The bed was fantastic! Wish we could have stayed longer...

Beautiful Siena!

My husband and I spent an October weekend in this wonderful apartment as we traveled through Italy. It was a highlight! The apartment itself is lovely: a very historic building, with very comfortable and contemporary furnishings mixed in, well equipped for all our needs...and most importantly, hosted by a wonderful family who could not have been more welcoming. We recommend this wholeheartedly and hope we will someday return!

Warm and friendly hosts and the apartment is a jewel.

Simonetta and Marco were wonderful and the apartment is beautiful and immaculate. Staying in historic Siena was very special - wandering the old narrow streets was like stepping back in time. Apt. is close to all the Cathedrals, palazzos, art, and Campo. We loved hanging out on the Campo! And we loved ending our day at the apartment - it really was home for a few days. Simonetta and Marco.... thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. If i get back to Siena i would definitely stay in your charming apartment. Perfect location in a fantastic city

Sienna is a stunning city and our stay at Simonetta & Marco's apartment was just what we wanted. They were both such friendly hosts, guiding us to the private parking that is included with the apartment and driving us and our luggage right up to the property door. They made us feel so welcome from the minute we met them. The apartment was spacious and well furnished with everything that you could possibly need for your stay there. The location was great, about a 1-2 minute stroll to the Piazza del Campo, which is right in the heart of the city. We would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous location and wonderful hosts

Our stay in Siena was absolutely wonderful. The apartment was perfect for two couples with a fully equipped kitchen and full sized fridge. The location is about two blocks from the Piaza and all the restaurants. There is also a grocery store close by. The bus station is about a 4 minute walk. Our wonderful hosts Simonetta and Marco were very accommodating, picking us up at the train station upon arrival and dropping us off again, on departure. We even had a lovely evening with them on their roof top deck. Bellisimo!
