The apartment was absolutely fabulous and the photos on the site didnât do it justice. It had a calmness about it and I didnât want to leave. Hopefully we will return again. The beds were supper comfy and the lounge was made for chilling. It was just heaven.
The property is an apartment in an old, elegant building in a very attractive area in Bristol. It is spacious and has many original features.
However it is in need of an update because the furniture, fittings and furnishings are really quite shabby and tired and in need of some refurbishment, especially the kitchen. The living room furniture wasn't particularly comfortable. The decor was African (I think) and there was an overwhelming array of ornaments and artefacts in all the rooms that we found rather overwhelming.
The apartment is quite a distance from the town centre and up a significant hill that would not be accessible for anyone with mobility issues. There is a bus service that goes past the house and which goes to the town centre which runs only once an hour but be aware that we missed it a few times as it came early.
There is no garden space available.
The space is AMAZING. Someone with impeccable taste has put this together- the furniture, decoration, features. It really is a beautiful apartment. It's also quite a lot bigger than the pictures make it seem. One thing we noted that could be improved was some of the supplies for a self catered stay weren't great, i.e. no hand soap, no dishwasher, no dishwasher liquid, just one sponge and tea towel, no hand towel in the bathroom. All easily fixed! We requested this during our stay but none came. The other issue was with noise from a neighbor, which the host attempted to remedy during our stay- that k you.
