The view was phenomenal. We love the close access to the beach.Unit was dated, dingy and needs a thorough cleaning, walls painted.The tv cable box etc. sits on the floor while other connections just hang from the TV. This felt dangerous, especially if we would have brought children.A/C worked for part of the condo but was noisy and the unit is old and dirty.Again, we love the location of the condo but felt like more consideration is needed to make the condo more comfortable and safe.

June 2025 visit

We stayed for seven nights celebrating our granddaughters thirteenth birthday. We enjoyed the property including the beach, pool, restaurants nearby and of course swimming in the ocean. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to all our needs.

Low key beach front Condo

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this condo. The sunsets and beach / ocean views were amazing. The Condo is clean and simple - a great home base for our adventures around the island.

Great view from this unit

Great layout with master suite on oceanfront for fresh air and sound of the waves at night! We would stay again if some maintenance was done.Patio light was out. We were told they were on order. A C unit drips into a bowl that needs to be emptied every few hours?? Screen door should be replaced so it doesn’t screech whenever moved.

Good property, OK beach

The property was in good shape and had everything we needed. Convenient to shops and restaurants. The beach was only OK. Pretty rocky and extremely shallow, so not great for swimming.

Overall the condo was nice. The view from the balcony was beautiful although we had to buy a couple of resin chairs because there were only 3 chairs (for 4 people) and one was broken. We also had to clean the condo upon arrival because there was a film of red dirt on everything and our feet were getting black from the floors. We also purchased a bath mat and new shower liner because the tub is peeling paint and the curtain was full of black mold. Other than that the place had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The property manager for the whole building keeps the pool and grounds looking beautiful and pristine.

I wish I owned it! That's how much I loved it.

I wasn't real excited about spending a week in a condo because I thought it would be noisy and surrounded by a bunch on constant activity. We had a change of plans due to an angry volcano so my window to make a decision on what was available at the time was small. I really got lucky though finding this place. It was the total opposite of what I expected as far as noise and activity. I think sometimes we even might have been considered the noisy ones. I think a lot of effort is put into keeping it that way. The beautiful uncrowded beach was right outside the back door, the shops that are close by were not only convenient but they were actually full of everything we needed and wanted. Such as the Maui Quilt Shop, and numerous high ranking on Yelp choices to eat at, Jain - an awesome masseuse at Maui Inner Shine - best massage I've had possibly ever. Our trip was everything I hoped it would be. The big bed was a little hard for me but I slept so good every night, maybe I should get a harder mattress? The temperature was good throughout the condo, the fans over the beds were a plus. It's not like a luxury hotel but if you're wanting a place to call home for a week or so in a great location that offers peace and tranquility this is a great choice. The sunsets were incredible too- enjoy them right out on the balcony. Everything worked, which when you're staying somewhere longer than 24 hours is very important. We had 6 people - 5 adults one 4 year old. We were fine with the space, besides if you feel a little cramped the vast ocean with a wonderful beach is a minutes walk away or the pool is really nice too, even closer. Everything is very well kept up, the pool, the BBQ, the grounds. I hope to stay here again, my only real negative of this last visit would be that our trip wasn't long enough. Thank you Oceanfront for the opportunity!

The view and the lanai were definitely the best features! No complaints about anything else. Everything else was good too but the view was fantastic!

The view is a 10. Open the sliders and let the ocean waves put you to sleep in the main bedroom. The kitchen has been renovated and is functional. The unit location was close to church, the gym, the grocery store, and several restaurants and food trucks. Unfortunately the unit itself is tired and needs TLC. The kitchen is stocked with just a bare minimum. You will need to bring your own Tupperware to store leftovers. And don’t forget your potholders and BBQ utensils as they aren’t in stock. The electrical outlets throughout are sparse and lack GFCI in the kitchen and bathrooms. The furniture is worn and the throw pillows have tears. The tv and cable box are located in an awkward locations. Several of the window shutters don’t open or close. Don’t forget to bring trash bags, soap, dishwashing soap, or paper towels as a bare minimum are provided. And note, the unit does not provide beach things. With a little TLC and updating, this could be a nice place. Unfortunately the unit doesn’t compare to its lanai view.

Could use a little TLC

The location and occur management was great but the property itself needs a better AC system and could use a little bit of TLC. The windows don’t fully shut and the curtain blocks the AC. If sitting out on the balcony, the AC unit is very loud so doesn’t make for a peaceful place and hard to hear others.

Great Location!

Wonderful view of the beach. Close to food and shopping. The air conditioner struggles to cool the entire unit so the second bedroom was warmer than we would have liked. Otherwise we would definitely stay here again!

Nice view, unfortunately, I can't recommend this property

The view was great and this provided a fine 'base' for us to explore south Maui. A few things about the property do need attention: (1) closets and porch are filled with junk, random trash bags of stuff, assorted beach gear, two patio tables, 8 chairs, a drying rack, empty cartons and boxes - no space! The closets and porch were not especially useable because of this. Our kids had to keep their suitcases/clothes in TV room because there wasn't any space for them in their room. (2) the window AC unit is located on the far end of the unit, next to a shutter-style window that doesn't close fully, so the cold air is blowing straight out the window. It's hot, especially the twin bed room. (3) The bedrooms and main room are open-air connected - note open space above doors. This helps with the heat, but it means there is no sound separation among rooms because its essentially one large loft room with walls only 90% to ceiling. (4) The pool/yard gate situation is self-locking. This means a kid could be locked into the pool area and not be able to get out. It also meant that our family had to do everything together, or be locked out of the beachfront/pool area. I was happy with management's responses, when I mentioned points (1) and (4) and gave us another key. The water was also shut off during our stay, but I think that was a roadwork issue beyond anyone's control. In sum, this property has potential and could be fantastic with some small investment and a few changes.

So disappointed in the quality of the condo and condo project. The one window AC didn’t cool the entire unit, only the living room and front room. The 2nd bedroom was hot. Bedding and beds uncomfortable and overall terrible. Electrical outlets were old and ungrounded not allowing modern plugs or power strips and light switches were old and had crusty material on their bases. Overall, keep looking don’t stay here.

A Hidden Gem

This property is a hidden gem. The condo itself was clean and well-supplied, they were easy to work with and had great communication. The two rooms/bathrooms were perfect for us and our 2 teen boys. Kitchen was wonderful. The location cannot be beat. Beautiful views, quiet beach and walking distance to market/restaurants. We absolutely loved this rental and will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone!

Great apartment on third floor of walk up only building. Sunsets and the sounds of the ocean were wonderful. Bring binoculars and watch the whales jumping on the horizon when they are in the bay

Maui Accommodations

We loved our stay in KiHai! Beach front for swimming, whale watching, turtle sightings & beach walking; close walking distance to grocery store & restaurants; very little rain (even if it is forecast for rain); friendly residents at this complex (coffee time Friday mornings) & close driving proximity to airport & special sights on Maui.

Excellent Kihei location

We have stayed in Kihei many times and this was an excellent location. Right on the beach with a beautiful view and easy walking to the grocery store, coffee shops and many other stores. A short nice walk to the park and other beaches makes this a prime location that is also quiet and off the busy main street. The condo was nicely stocked and had plenty of room for our family of 4.
