Located within the Rossendale Valley in the South Pennines, Edenfield is a haven for walkers and cyclists, with scenic routes along the Irwell Valley trail, around Scout Moor and visits to nearby Waughs Well and Edenfield Waterfall. For those looking for something more adventurous, try the Lee Quarry mountain bike trail, Rossendale Ski Slope, or try your hand at the Squirrels Lair adventure golf course. If you’re interested in sampling local gourmet, Edenfield and the nearby villages offer many great places to eat and drink, from cosy pubs with log fires, to award winning fish and chip shops, restaurants, cafés and ice cream parlours. However, a trip to the Rossendale Valley would not be complete without a trip on the East Lancs Railway which runs both diesel and steam trains most weekends.
