Casatorre is a delightful and characteristic Romagna farmhouse located just outside the borgo of Saludecio, immersed in the evocative and unmistakable scenery designed by the rolling hills that surround it, in the immediate hinterland of the Riviera Romagnola, between Cattolica, San Marino and Urbino. An ideal place for those looking for a relaxing holiday, wanting to enjoy the sea and the famous beaches but, at the same time, not wanting to renounce trips to the surrounding towns. The breathtaking view is a distinctive feature of Casatorre which will give you unforgettable sunsets. This enchanting four-storey house, with the thick walls typical of Romagna farm buildings, features an ancient turret dating back to the 1400s, probably built as a watchtower given its privileged position. As soon as you enter the front door of the house, you will find intimate and welcoming rooms, marked by simplicity and essentiality, where you will immediately feel at home. What prevails is the taste for tradition and materials, the result of local artisanship: wood for the ceiling beams and classic antique terracotta for the floors. The garden, enriched by numerous plants, a large olive grove, tall trees and flowers typical of the area, includes the beautiful private, salt-purified swimming pool, just a few metres away in a super panoramic position. Here you can relax by the pool and enjoy the warmth of the sun while the beauty of the landscape surrounds you. Although located very close to Saludecio (just two minutes away by car), with bars, restaurants and supermarkets, the property overlooks the open countryside, bordered by green hills and olive groves. It is an ideal location to appreciate privacy and tranquillity without having to renounce the attractions in the immediate vicinity. Within just a few kilometres are numerous places to visit: Cattolica, the Republic of San Marino, Pesaro, Urbino, Rimini and Riccione.
Interior:
The main entrance on the ground floor leads to the living area consisting of a sitting room with fireplace, sofa, armchairs, smart TV, piano and an open dining room from where a couple of steps lead down to the well-equipped kitchen. Completing the floor is a bathroom with shower, containing the laundry room. Between the sitting room and the dining room, a brick staircase leads down to the basement composed of two “taverns” (basement rooms) furnished with table and chairs, one with a fireplace and the other with a characteristic stone cellar. Both rooms have direct exit to the outside via French windows. On the ground floor, between the sitting room and the bathroom, is a brick staircase leading up to the first floor consisting of a passage room, with a single bed and a single pouf bed, which leads on to a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and, to complete the first floor, a further double bedroom with adjacent bathroom with shower. A flight of stairs leads up to the second floor, the turret, the oldest part of the house, with a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower. All the bedrooms have air conditioning.
Park:
The partially-fenced property of Casatorre, located 277 metres above sea level, extends for about 1500 square metres. The land is divided between an olive grove, lawns, tall trees, flowers and plants typical of the area, which extend over the valley behind the house. The gently-sloping terrain descends from the house towards the large olive grove. At the exit of a basement French window is a charming, terracotta-paved pergola, overlooking the pool and the hills in front and equipped with a table, chairs and mobile barbecue, an ideal place for al fresco dining. Adjacent to the swimming pool is a second area equipped with table and chairs, shaded by the house and ideal for enjoying a good glass of wine with friends. From the automatic iron gate, a paved downhill drive leads directly to the outdoor parking area with space for five cars.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The scenic swimming pool, for exclusive use, is located about 5 metres from, and on the same level as, the house, and can be reached directly from the basement or via an external flight of 17 stone steps. Rectangular and measuring 6 x 3 m with a constant depth of 1.50 m, the pool is lined in PVC and has internal spotlights, a salt purification system and a night cover. It has a brick border and submerged steps for access to the water. The solarium, paved and surrounded by lawn, is equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs, umbrellas and a cold-water shower. The pool is available from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.
